This is easily one of the best live performances I’ve ever seen. Layne is so naked and emotional here, it’s almost painful hearing him sing; it’s like he’s bleeding every sentence out. This is almost as good as the Pearl Jam Unplugged for me… but I know people who like it even MORE.

…I’M GOING FOR BLOOD! “Yacht Rock” is a bullshit label. It’s basically Gen-Xers and Boomers refusing to admit they like cheesy music that’s also almost always sung badly. And their selection process of bands that fit the label are questionable, at BEST (Fleetwood Mac and Toto are yacht rock now? What?) Even Steely Dan disavowed the label, and not even in a Black Sabbath way where they eventually came around to the term - they STILL think it’s stupid even now, because it’s actually fucking stupid.
