உயர்கல்வித்துறை அமைச்சர் விஸ்வநாதன் அவர்களின் செயல்பாடுகள் தொடர்ந்து அநாகரிகமாக இருந்து வருகிறது. பள்ளி வளாகத்தில் "வாடி வாடி கைப்படாத சிடி" என்கிற ஆபாச பாடலுக்கு தவெக நிர்வாகிகளுடன் இணைந்து ஆட்டம் போட்டவர், இப்போது பள்ளிகளில் ஆய்வுக்கு செல்லும்போது பெண் குழந்தைகளிடம் அநாகரிகமாக நடந்துகொள்ளும் காட்சிகள் அதிர்ச்சியளிக்கின்றன. பெண் குழந்தைகளை தொட்டுப் பேசுவது அவர்களை uncomfortable ஆக உணர வைக்கும் என்பது கூடவா ஒரு அமைச்சருக்குத் தெரியாது? அமைச்சர் பதவிக்குத் தான் நீங்கள் புதிது. அதற்காக ஒரு மனிதனுக்கு இருக்கும் சாதாரண common sense கூடவா இல்லாமல் போய்விடும்? ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் போக்சோ வழக்குகள் அதிகரித்து வரும் சூழ்நிலையில், அமைச்சர் போன்ற உயர் பொறுப்பில் இருப்பவர்கள் தங்களுடைய பொறுப்பினையும் எல்லையையும் உணர்ந்து செயல்பட வேண்டும். விஸ்வநாதன் அவர்களின் இத்தகைய தவறான நடவடிக்கைகளுக்கு வன்மையான கண்டனங்கள். இனியாவது உங்களைத் திருத்திக்கொள்ளுங்கள். I think these representatives urgently need a session on what constitutes appropriate and inappropriate touch. Having watched his dance to "Vadi Vadi Kai Padatha CD" on a school campus, and then seeing this video, it is genuinely unsettling and disgusting. Public representatives, especially those interacting with children and students, must be mindful of the boundaries they maintain and the message their conduct sends.

To risk the lives of their own functionaries just to build a false propaganda narrative shows the extent of their moral decay. A group that is willing to injure its own people for optics will put anyone at risk for its ego, insecurity, and shameless hunger for attention. This is a dangerous, sick political culture.

We could see two contrasting videos today where one educates and the other misguides. Hon'ble Minister Udhay - தமிழ்நாட்டை தலைகுனிய விடமாட்டேன் as a responsible leader of a people centric movement speaks with historical clarity and political integrity. He explains why NEET is not just flawed but fraudulent. He recalls how in early days of medical education Sanskrit was mandatory to even apply for medical education. This was not about merit but about exclusion. He also explains that it was the Justice party, the ideological foundation of today's DMK that abolished such discriminatory practice. He highlights the case of Miss Nila Bharathi, a student from Tamil Nadu who couldn't secure a medical seat via NEET but later went on to top the State in the UPSC examination - the most competitive examination of the nation. He rightly points out that NEET isn't about intelligence, and implies that it's only about expensive coaching and repeated drilling. On the other hand, actor turned politcal actor, TVK Vijay takes a completely different route. Instead of standing up for the students of Tamil Nadu, for the health infrastructure of Tamil Nadu, educating them about the marketocracy of neet, he tells students "NEET is not the only exam" through which he implies that medicine is not the only field to aspire to. This is exactly what RSS BJP ecosystem has been repeating since NEET was imposed. Its a cop out, not a solution. By diverting attention, normalising NEET,and refusing to take a political stand vijay has shown a disturbing alignment with the BJP RSS narrative which seems to be deliberate and due to lack of political knowledge. The choice is clear, One speaks the truth and fights for rights. The other surrenders to the Union and sugarcoats injustice. Dravidian movement is about educating the people. Not misguiding.

'Lipstick buses' - A highly misogynistic slur by the leader of a party that's highly detached from the ground reality. When Mr.Palanisamy mockingly refers to women's payment less bus travel as 'Lipstick buses' - he isn't just demeaning the policy, he is demeaning lakhs of hardworking women who rely on public transport for survival, mobility and dignity. Pink buses are not about colour but about progress by ensuring mobility for women. Under the DMK Government, almost 57 lakh women travel daily under Vidiyal Payanam Thittam. These women, students, entrepreneurs, domestic help, teachers etc save almost 800 to 1000 rs on an average monthly which is a significant saving for every family which goes into children's education, personal savings etc. When EPS mocks this with elitist and sexist language he reveals his disdain for women empowerment and his ignorance of grassroots struggle. During his tenure, he hiked the fares by 88%, failed to renew or modernise buses for decades, neglected public welfare prioritising contractor benefits over commuter needs. In contrast, under DMK regime, CM Thiru M.K.Stalin has introduced >1700 new buses, repaired and modernised > 1000 buses, painted pink identifiers not for not for glamour but so women can easily spot their rightful ride. Tamil Nadu deserves a leader who uplifts women, not the ones who laugh at their dignity.
