26 years ago today, TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT was released on PlayStation 2 in Japan 🇯🇵 The first TEKKEN on PS2. The first Tekken Bowl. And one of the most unique entries in the entire series. Here's why: 🔸The first Tekken where characters had facial expressions during battle. 🔸Kazuya and Devil would morph into each other instead of tagging out 🔸Tag intros where Heihachi would spank Lee over his knee when paired together 🔸First Tekken where you could preview moves in Practice Mode 🔸All stages had no walls. The last time in the series that ever happened 🔸Sega offered Namco a free Virtua Fighter character to port the game to Dreamcast. Namco declined. An absolute classic. What was your go-to team in TTT?

Too much reward for too little risk in Season 2 one of the key extreme-outcome fixes. 🔸Character power-up states ( Video ) Now END when Heat ends (e.g., Claudio's Starburst). No more free extended pressure after Heat expires. 🔸Rank Reset Your Season 3 starting rank is recalculated from your Season 2 peak plus special titles for your S2 highest rank. 🔸Ranking points Get a transparency upgrade. You'll now see exactly why you gained or lost points, bonuses, deductions, all visible. 🔸Matchmaking rework Less skill-gap mismatches, revised logic for secondary characters, and adjusted demotion/promotion criteria. 🔸TEKKEN Dev Feedback Portal launches March 16 [JST] A dedicated site + Discord (separate from the main TEKKEN Discord). Today 19 years ago #TEKKEN5 was released on PS2 in Japan. The game went back to its classic roots and brought Bruce, Beak, Wang and Ganryu back playable. For many It's the best TEKKEN game ever made along with the best opening of the series. What are your memories of TEKKEN 5?
