#infosec Day 31, The last day of the #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth Three (3) key things I would like to emphasise going forward :- 1. Repetition - As we mark the end of 2023 #Cybersecurity awareness month, I strongly urge organisations to maintain a high level of cybersecurity awareness and culture 2. Know your target audience - When you plan the content and activities that you will use to deliver your awareness consider the needs and preferences of your target audience 3. Make it entertaining - The awareness programs should be entertaining , do not make it a boring subject! Capture user's attention.

As cyber threats increase, so does the need for robust, collaborative cybersecurity strategies that enable secure digital participation for all I had a privilege of participating in the Strengthening Cybersecurity in Africa’s Digital Ecosystem panel session during the concluded #AfIGF2024 We discussed on challenges, opportunities, and priorities for immediate action to address Africa’s current cybersecurity challenges, including infrastructure, funding, regulations, skills development, and awareness issues We explored on innovative and sustainable approaches for enhancing cybersecurity capacity development, threat intelligence sharing, and building resilience against cyber threats We proposed actionable strategies, policies, and regional partnerships aimed at improving cybersecurity posture across Africa’s Internet ecosystem. #CyberSecurity #cyberthreat #igf2024 CC: Digital Center of Excellence @ECA | Jimson Olufuye, PhD | AfICTA - Africa ICT Alliance | Haki Ngowi |Mactar Seck | Farhan Yusuf | Dr. Martin Koyabe | Raymond Nyamwihula |IGF - Internet Governance Forum | Peter Mwangangi

#infosecurity I had an interview with BBC Swahili on healthcare industry and #cyberattacks I strongly call on them to embrace new technologies and not forget to strengthen their #cybersecurity #cyberthreats against medical devices can cause problems for healthcare industries We have seen massive #Ransomware attacks & #DataBreaches on health industry We urge hospitals to secure their network devices to limit the damage caused by an attack on medical devices.
