What a tremendous honor it was to be the head coach of New Mexico Highlands Men's Basketball. After the past 48 hours saw our President Dr. Neil Woolf, the very best man I know on earth, be ousted without reason, along with our provost and multiple other high ranking members of our leadership team/administration relieved of duties, it was clear that the path forward was untenable for our program. I’m eternally grateful to Dr. Neil Woolf and Dr. Paul Grindstaff for their faith, support, and forward-thinking vision and will always hold a special place in my heart for Highlands University. I’ll always be proud of our program’s first winning season in RMAC Sports play since 2019-20, and cherish the commitment from our guys that helped our team become the first Cowboys team with a winning conference record this decade in any sport at New Mexico Highlands Athletics. I look forward to supporting our single season program record EIGHT (8!) graduates at commencement this Saturday. Go Cowboys!
