For years, most new protocols have competed for the same things: developers, users, and liquidity. We took the opposite approach. The Zama Protocol was designed to run on top of the chains, apps, and protocols people already use. No migration, no starting from zero, no asking a working market to move somewhere else. kirk from Morpho 🦋 puts it plainly: plug confidentiality into existing infrastructure and there's no bootstrapping step. It's an easy sell.

FHE has been getting ~10× faster per year over the past few years. Some of that comes from better cryptography, but most of the gains now are from hardware acceleration. Moving from CPU → GPU → FPGA → ASIC is basically how you go from ~10 confidential stablecoin transfers per second to ~100,000 confidential stablecoin transfers per second.

Confidential tokens preserve public verifiability while keeping amounts and balances encrypted. But to make them the new default, we need to rally the entire stack of tools we already use today, wallets, explorers, indexers, and more. It's a big lift, and it's happening now. The work the team at Blockscout 🔭 did is a step in that direction: they're the first block explorer to natively support ERC-7984 confidential tokens, verifiable transfers with encrypted amounts. We recorded a demo with DOSH | 🦇🔊 from the Blockscout team, walking through how it works, and what explorers become when encrypted tokens are the default. This demo shows the work Zama is doing across the board: onboarding the tooling the ecosystem already relies on, so confidentiality onchain becomes the new normal, not the exception.

Confidentiality will continue to unlock new institutional capital onchain.
