I went from volunteering with Muslim refugees because I thought Islamophobia was the most pressing issue in Australia (lol, 20-yr-old-woman mentality) to coming to question whether Islam is compatible with Australian values. Chama Mechtaly (MillennialMoor) explains how my instinct to care was also the very impulse that certain Islamist organisations have learned to exploit.
