We’re pleased to announce that the Connecta IoT Network... has been formally included in the Executive Order on the Use of Radio Frequencies Without a Permit issued by the Danish Digital Agency. This decision enables our LoRaWAN-based satellite IoT services in the 862–870 MHz band in Denmark. With this step, Denmark becomes the first country in Europe to explicitly enable satellite-IoT communications in SRD bands and anchor them directly in national regulation. Under the updated framework, the Connecta IoT Network is permitted to operate low-power radio equipment communicating with satellites (LPD-S / satellite IoT) on a licence-exempt basis in Denmark. This forward-looking move positions Denmark as a frontrunner in next-generation satellite IoT connectivity and sets an important precedent for other administrations as we continue to advance accessible, standards-aligned IoT connectivity worldwide.
