Built a native macOS viewer for ledger plain-text accounting... file format. Most expense tracking apps are built around lock-in. Proprietary formats, mandatory accounts, servers you don't control. When their VC funding dries up, they shut down or pivot, and you start over. Plain-text accounting takes the opposite approach: your finances live in a .ledger file. Open it in vim. Query it with awk. Put it in git and get a full audit trail of every change you've ever made. It's just a plain text file. Ledge is just a lens over that file. Fast, native, no cloud. MiaoYan is a lightweight, native macOS Markdown editor for... writing and notes — one of my open-source macOS projects. It just shipped its biggest update to date, introducing Split View for side-by-side Markdown editing and live preview, with smooth bidirectional scroll sync. This release also brings a full visual refinement, layout cycling between sidebar, list, and focus modes, faster startup with native window animations, and broad performance improvements across editing, preview, and export. Built entirely in Swift, not Electron. MiaoYan is local-first, requires no account, collects no telemetry, and avoids AI features by design. I built it for clean Markdown, performance, and a calm writing environment.show more

CCleaner used to be the default way to keep... a Windows machine fast. Then it got bought, stuffed with ads and bundled crapware, and in 2017 one release was compromised and shipped malware to over 2 million people. Millions still install it every month because nothing else has really replaced it. So, a team called AdventDev just built a free, open-source replacement. It's called Kudu. Open the app and you get one dashboard for the whole machine. > System cleaner for temp files, logs, caches, and crash dumps. > Browser cleaner across every major browser. > Gaming cleaner for launcher and shader caches. > Registry cleaner for broken and orphaned entries. > Startup manager that shows the actual boot impact of each program. > Disk analyzer with an interactive treemap, so you can see where 40GB quietly disappeared to. > Debloater that rips Windows bloatware out. > Program uninstaller that also removes the leftovers other uninstallers leave behind. Then it does the parts CCleaner never did. A malware scanner with signature matching, heuristic analysis, and Windows Defender integration. A privacy shield that lets you flip 30+ Windows privacy settings from one screen: telemetry, ad ID, Cortana, tracking. Secure delete that overwrites files with random data before removing them, so nothing can recover them later. There's a real-time performance monitor with per-core CPU, memory, disk, network, and S.M.A.R.T. drive health. A one-click restore point before every clean, so you can roll back. Scheduled scans. A CLI mode for people who don't want a GUI. Support for 30 languages. Native app for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Intel and Apple Silicon builds. No ads, no upsells, no telemetry, no account. The cleaning rules are plain JSON files, so if your favorite app isn't covered yet, you can add support for it without writing a line of code. MIT license. 100% Open Source. Repo:show more

These young black people were born here and educated... here. Despite that they hang out exclusively among their own ethnicity and they behave in a completely different way to how native children from the same areas behave. It is the ultimate demonstration of why remigration is required. Assimilation is a myth. London is an ethnically segregated third world shithole and its only redeeming features are the things built by our native ancestors. The immigrants have only made London worse and it’s why natives are taking every opportunity to leave to the shires. If you have no native blood you need to leave. We can talk about exemptions and possible carve outs later but we must start from the assumption they must all leave and work backwards from there.show more

I've been using apps that I built myself with... Claude AI I recorded 10+ hours of video with a video editor I made. I'm turning all my designs to code with a Figma plugin I made. With Cursor, I don't think twice before starting to build for macOS, iOS, web apis, backend, video... These felt unreachable before. Not anymore. There's never been a better time to learn code. AI will fill the gap. If you ever feel the need to build your own apps or code your own designs, it's a good day to start. Many tools and courses are on discount today, include my courses on We have 20+ hours of video for SwiftUI apps, React apps and React Native using Cursor. Feel free to drop tools and resources that are on discount 👇 I'll start: (I use 2 of their apps for professional AI upscaling) has a 54% discount Windsurf (Cursor alternative) has a free trial until Dec 11 has a 40% discount! has a lot of great ui kits on sale Last but not least, has a ton of great discounts. SOMEONE BUILT A TERMINAL TORRENT CLIENT THAT SEARCHES EVERY... TRUSTED SOURCE AT ONCE AND DOWNLOADS STRAIGHT TO DISK finding a torrent in 2026 is miserable fake download buttons, popups that spawn three more tabs, and half the results are dead with zero seeders. so he built the opposite of all that: > type one query and it hits a curated set of trackers all at once > results stream back tagged with source, size and seeders as fast as each site answers > arrow to the one you want, press d, and it lands on your drive > if one source is down it just skips it and keeps searching the rest > downloads run in the background and pick up where they left off if you quit mid transfer the whole thing is one command. npx and youre running, all you need is node, no browser, no setup, nothing leaves your machine except the request itself. its called torlink, open source and mit. this is the kind of clean terminal tool that does one annoying thing perfectlyshow more

WELCOME TO THE FUTURE: THE WALLS HAVE EYES… AND... THEY WANT YOUR DIRTY LAUNDRY Finally, a smart home feature that solves the real crisis: carrying socks across the house. This system uses pneumatic tubes — yes, like the ones that shoot checks at drive-thru banks — to vacuum your clothes through the walls and drop them straight into the washer. Behind the scenes? Air turbines, sealed conduits, motion sensors, and just enough pressure to launch your underwear at 30 feet per second without turning it into shrapnel. Laundry chutes are for peasants. This is tactical garment extraction. It’s the future of clean — part NASA, part suburban sci-fi, and 100% powered by your desire to never touch a hamper again. Making a camera was way harder than I thought.... Here's what I learned: If you want smart phone level camera, you can't just buy a smartphone camera component That's because cameras talk to a special chip (ISP) that does all kinds of magic There's special image software too, and you can't do it yourself, so it's gonna cost you $100-250k for that software that does tuning, HDR, MFNR, etc. Takes months to implement properly Then it's even worse if you want to livestream. Since you can't do the processing after the fact, you've gotta make all that special software run realtime on a resource constrained processor You also gotta realize our hands and heads aren't stable at all. The video is shaky until you do electronic image stabilization (EIS) If you don't do every single one of these right, then you'll have potato-quality video After all this work, we've now got something really good, and I'm amped to ship Mentra Live smart glasses because it's a smart phone quality camera that sees what you see, live streams anywhere, and has an open-source SDK you can build apps with.show more

NewJeans was never a group built around musical talent.... They weren't selected for that, but using shamanism. HK Comic Con showed what NewJeans looks like without HYBE's budget, production, camera work, and marketing machine behind them. They were a marketing product. A group that, would trade any tour for two more brand deals, because that's how their hype was maintained. That's also why having to share brand deals with another gg seemed to upset them more than not being able to perform. And why they pursued brand deals as the very first thing after trying to leave ADOR—which, in the end, is part of what led them to where they are now. There are way more talent people singing on 🚇 every day, what they don't have it is the silver spoon offered to newjeans and the BTS little sister marketing even before debut....show more

Can you imagine this RCA was completely occluded? We... recently treated a young patient with a chronic total occlusion (CTO) of the RCA. Given the poor antegrade options and well-developed collaterals, we opted for a retrograde approach. After successful crossing, lesion preparation was followed by a "leave-nothing-behind" strategy using four drug-coated balloons (DCBs)—no stents implanted. The image you can see below is a follow up performed 3 months after the CTO PCI. Why this approach? Preserves native vessel function and vasomotion Avoids permanent implants and associated long-term risks Reduces need for prolonged DAPT Makes future interventions easier, especially valuable in younger patients. Introducing a new tool called "SideChannel". A secure alternative... to OpenClaw. Utilizes signal for communication and has Claude integration. I built SideChannel, an open-source Signal bot that connects Claude AI to your entire development workflow. End-to-end encrypted. From your pocket. The real power is autonomous development. Send one message like "Build a REST API with auth, pagination, and tests" and SideChannel will: - Generate a full PRD with stories and atomic tasks. - Dispatch up to 10 parallel workers (each running Claude). - Independently verify every task with a separate Claude context. - Run quality gates to catch regressions - Auto-fix failures. - Send you progress updates via Signal as work completes. Every piece of code is reviewed by a separate AI context using a fail-closed security model. If it detects security issues, backdoors, or logic errors — the code gets rejected automatically. No rubber stamps. It also has memory that actually works. Conversations are stored with vector embeddings for semantic search. Claude remembers your project conventions, past decisions, and what's been tried before. It gets smarter about your codebase over time. Other things I'm proud of: - Plugin framework for extending with custom commands. - Multi-project support with per-user scoping. - Rate limiting, path validation, phone allowlist. - Git checkpoints before every task, atomic commits after. - Stale task recovery, circular dependency detection. - Works on Linux and macOS, one-command install. It also integrates into OpenAI or Grok (optional) for more Generative AI response for simple things like "Whats the weather in New York City right now?".show more

Impeccable 3.7 brings linting to design. Until now it... was a skill you asked for help. Now it's a design-system-aware feedback loop that runs while your agent builds, catching slop and design drift before they land. 🪝 Design hooks for Claude, Codex, and Cursor They run after every UI edit and quietly nudge your agent to fix slop and drift. The output isn't another wall of lint: it separates new findings from already-seen ones, flags clean scans, and asks the agent to use judgment. Fix real issues, leave intentional demos alone, save exceptions to config instead of littering your source. 🎨 Slop detection is now project-aware Reads your actual design system from DESIGN.md, your typography, palette, radius scale, and tokens, and flags drift from your system, not just generic AI slop: • this font isn't in your design system • this color is outside your documented palette • this radius doesn't match your rounded scale The same engine powers both the hooks and the CLI, and it's where we're investing next. 🖥️ Live Mode, ready for real projects Svelte/SvelteKit now preview variants as temporary framework components with live params, then accept cleanly back into your source component. Manual text edits got evidence / apply / discard routes, insertions preserve their anchors, and mapped lists and JSX slots clean up far more reliably. ⚡ Leaner core, sharper detector Rule-level evals across 3 providers and 4 niches cut guidance with no measurable lift and dropped examples that taught models bad patterns. The detector now skips hidden and screen-reader-only elements, understands OKLCH alpha and Sass-like inputs, and tightened checks for repeated kickers, oversized H1s, clipped overflow, and cramped padding. 🛠️ CLI caught up impeccable detect loads DESIGN.md by default, motion findings name the exact token or cubic-bezier instead of just "bounce," and impeccable ignores gives real CRUD for exceptions. Hooks and CLI share the same ignores. No split-brain config. Plus a much-improved interactive installer with hooks setup built in. Upgrade: npx impeccable install npm i -g impeccableshow more

Shaky organic handheld shot pushed in tight and intimate on the face of a man in his thirties with dark wet side-parted hair plastered to his forehead, mid-lunge through the flood his face fills the entire frame, jaw clenched with teeth bared and gritted in a snarl of effort, brow deeply furrowed, eyes narrowed and locked forward with raw desperate determination. Water streams and beads down his skin, droplets clinging to his eyelashes and running off his chin, spray bursting across his face in slow suspended flecks. Every pore, water bead, and strand of wet hair rendered in sharp tactile detail. The chaotic flooded office and blurred panicking crowd fall completely out of focus behind him. In slow motion the droplets hang and drift, sweat and water glistening. Dynamic unsteady handheld movement right at his face, breathing with the motion. Sickly institutional palette — muted seafoam green and cold reflective water bokeh behind him. Face anatomically correct, stable, hyperrealistic, genuine intense emotion, natural human proportions, no warping or distortion. Heavy coarse analog 35mm film grain baked into every frame, thick and consistent, grain crawling over highlights and shadows, like a scanned celluloid film print, never clean, never digital-looking. 🚨 JUST IN: CHINA just released an AI EMPLOYEE... that works 24X7 on its own. 100% OPEN SOURCE. It researches, codes, builds websites, creates slide decks, and generates videos. All by itself. All on your computer. It's called DeerFlow. You give it a task. It makes a plan, spins up its own team of sub-agents, and gets to work. You come back and there's a finished deliverable waiting. Not a draft. Not a summary. The actual thing. Not a chatbot. Not a research assistant. An AI with its own computer that works while you sleep. Here's what it does on its own: → Spawns multiple sub-agents in parallel, each tackling a different piece of your task, then combines everything into one finished output → Writes real code, runs it, reads the results, and fixes its own mistakes without asking you once → Builds slide decks, websites, full research reports, and data dashboards from scratch → Remembers you across sessions. Your writing style. Your tech stack. Your preferences. Gets better every time. → Reads files you upload, works with them inside its own filesystem, hands you clean finished outputs → Searches the web, runs commands, calls any tool you plug in Here's how it thinks: You give one instruction. The lead agent makes a plan. Sub-agents fan out and work in parallel. Results come back. Everything gets synthesized. You get a deliverable. A single research task might split into a dozen sub-agents, each exploring a different angle, then converge into one finished website with generated visuals. Here's the wildest part: DeerFlow 2.0 launched on February 28th 2026 and hit number 1 on all of GitHub Trending the same day. Version 2.0 was a complete rewrite. Zero shared code with version 1. Because users kept using it for things the team never intended. Data pipelines. Dashboards. Entire content workflows. The community told them what it needed to become. So they burned it down and rebuilt it. 22.7K GitHub stars. 2.7K forks. Built by ByteDance 100% Open Source. MIT License.show more
