A few years ago, I wanted to design a... front panel for a desktop PC with real time machine info. I designed a few prototypes using OLED panels that were available at the time. All 6 running at 60 fps from a single ESP32. Never followed through because 1) I didn't know how to write system software and it felt like a huge undertaking to fetch CPU-Z + Task Manager data without using some paid API 2) These OLEDs failed after 6 months of continuous on-time. This Pokemon vending machine had Evolving Skies for the... longest time. This was from a few years ago, before most people knew about vending machines and before a larger expansion of locations. I used to own a company that went bankrupt... a year ago. At the time, it felt like everything was collapsing because of a series of wrong decisions—decisions that, looking back now, turned out to be blessings in disguise. During that time, I was hustling every single day just to cover rent and put food on the table. In the middle of all that chaos, I was learning how to trade. Deep down, I already knew I wanted to trade more than I wanted to save the company… but I still gave everything I had trying to keep it alive. After multiple deposits and plenty of setbacks, I finally became profitable on my last one (January 2025). At one point I was down to 0.28 SOL. I even wrote down: “I will turn 0.28 into 100.” That was my first real goal—about 25K at the time. I’ve never been the type to post PnLs, but I took a lot of inspiration and motivation from others. Hi FGC friends. I picked up a Brooks Wingman... FGC 2 myself from to test some older sticks on PS5 cause of issues using them on PS5 for some games. Did a quick Firmware update through their website here: (Hold the side buttons while plugged into PC and grab the latest update) I then tested all of these myself that didn't work in game for Avatar before that are now working instantly. Hopefully a patch comes out before the event for legacy controllers but I wanted to test this as a backup option while I chat with Brook Converters directly about getting some loaners for pools at the event. So far no issues, timeouts or anything so this may be your a good option for the mean time to use all of your sticks/controllers on PS5 in general. If you're having issues please let me know what controller/stick you're trying to use and I'll see if I have it to try myself. A few days ago, I got 7-8 leads in... one day Every client asked the pricing and just stop replying. 2 clients were about to pay but when I asked for invoice details, they stopped replying. 1 client had a very small budget so I rejected the project 1 client booked a call and cancelled it at the meeting time. 1 client project wasn’t a fit for us because the niche. I always wondered "What if I port my three.js... game to Rust? Will it improve performance?" I finally ported it to both Rust Desktop and Rust WASM (that runs on the browser) Comparing the three.js version with the Rust desktop I had a clear winner: Rust desktop. But now I took the time to port it to the web using Web Assembly (WASM) And my conclusion is... A tie! Both versions averaged 42FPS (60FPS if running one at a time) So if your goal is to ship a web game, it doesn't even matter the tech you use. (Three.js is recommended because the ecossystem is huge though) As long you optmize well (Web workers, reduce triangles, draw calls, etc) you should be good to go. But in the event you want to ship a native game to publish on Steam a system language (Rust, C++, etc) will be better for you. Now I want to port the three.js game to Desktop using Electron and see the results. I'll let you know. Btw, I'm open to new freelance projects. If you have anything for me, my DMs are open!show more

Speaking of Dreams.. still kinda crazy to me how... perfect of a match a tool like that is for generative AI workflows. Intuitive game engine/creative sandbox that allows you to build almost anything, running underneath a Gen AI render. Sculpting, painting, interacting with your two hands in 3d space, here using two move controllers which by now is tech from 2010. I haven't seen ANY way to interact with 3d that allows for the same fast and intuitive sculpting without forcing you to wear a VR headset. I made this scene a few years ago in 2 and a half hour or so as part of a 1 scene pr. episode of The Last of Us, and ran it through a combo of Runway and Sora to get to this result.show more

i tried Framer Agent to build a brand guidelines... website template, something i've meant to do for a while. a site i can swap a logo, nudge a colour, update the type, and send a link instead of re-exporting a pdf nobody opens. a few observations on the AI process: - i started with references. pulled together a handful of minimalist grid layouts and had Claude describe the visual style back to me. you can do the same inside Framer, feeding it the references directly. - from there i had it write a detailed prompt aimed at that exact style, then asked it to break it into a few smaller steps. then i fed those into the agent, one at a time. - the scaffolding stage is the satisfying part. for something this grid-driven (the columns, the spans, the whole underlying structure) watching it land in seconds is hard to look away from. - but then i still have to sweat the details: text alignment, line-heights, image sizes. i don't mind it at all; it's the part i like, making these design decisions. the strength of the agent is the mundane work. point it at the stuff that eats your time: cleaning up the build, adding responsiveness, dropping in small effects, checking text and colour styles stay consistent, writing alt text for every image. then i get the time back for the parts of web design that are actually fun. 🤝show more

It seemed like overnight, people were saying “what can we, as a collective force, do about this…” For me, it was to write a song. It took a while because I was on the road. Then early one morning I was watching the news on TV and a certain newscaster said something that felt like she was talking to me~ explaining what the loss of Roe v. Wade would come to mean. I wrote the song the next morning and recorded it that night. That was September 6, 2022. I have been working on it ever since. I have often said to myself, “This may be the most important thing I ever do. To stand up for the women of the United States and their daughters and granddaughters ~ and the men that love them. We were never fully satisfied with the animated components... available outside. Some looked good but were hard to customize. Some were easy to use but felt too basic. So 2 months ago, we started building our own. It started as a Framer component library. Then we expanded it to Next.js and MCP, so people can use it with code and AI builders too. Now we’re finally launching the beta on July 2, 11 AM IST. Only for the first 500 users. If you’re building animated websites, this will save you a lot of time. So remember that time machine I told you about?... I managed to sneek out another video from my visit to the future.. this time I captured video of a 3d artist creating assets for a short commercial. They sculpted the bird in the video with nothing but two controllers which they used to manipulate generative matter in 3d. The AI model changed in realtime and adopted their style of work, both based on the work they did on the scene, and on reference images they gave the system. Seeing the 3d model transform in realtime as they were working on it was incredible. When it started moving and reacted to their instructions, I knew it was time to return to the present :D #art #aishow more
