A well-deserved standing ovation for these record-setting Jayhawks as... they leave the field one final time at Hoglund Ballpark. A truly transformative season ends on the doorstep of Omaha, but with so many firsts and bests along the way from an all-time great Jayhawk team. This group not only put Lawrence, KS on the college baseball map hosting our first ever Regionals and Super Regionals, but honestly, they united and ignited a Jayhawk fanbase in ways I’ve never seen a spring sport do in all my years on campus. It was truly a magical run for Fitz Magic and his team. A season, a ball club and the start of a new home field atmosphere that we’ll never, ever forget. Rock Chalk, Jayhawk.show more

LIU’s head coach Dan Pirillo has held his team... in right field for close to 30 minutes after their elimination from the NCAA Tournament. This is a team that won the NEC regular season and tournament titles, made the big dance for just the 5th time in program history, and fought their asses off all season. You know Pirillo is congratulating them on an unbelievable season. It may not have ended how they wanted, but you have to love these mid majors in college baseball. You hate to see a team like this go home. Congrats on a hell of a year LIU Baseballshow more

A year ago, August 20th, Charlie was at Wrigley... Field in Chicago cheering on his favorite baseball team, the Cubs, and supporting his friend Matt Shaw. It was a dream of his to walk on that field, take in the history of one of Americas most iconic ballparks, and experience it all as a lifelong Cubs fan. He was so happy. How about a @MHUBaseball team that beat #5 Young... Harris for the second time in a midweek, this time on the road? The Lions are 5-2 on midweek games this season. A 3-run home run for Zach Weaver in the first and a 3-run home run for Chad Sikes in the second was all Mars Hill needed. #D2Baseballshow more

Not the first time he’s done that and won’t... be the last. I have all his tapes and watched 80% of his games in the last 18 years. I’ve seen him get away with so much nonsense on the field. Once a cheat, always a cheat.show more

📲🗣️ Jørgen Strand Larsen on Instagram: “Dear Wolves I... just wanna say thank you to everyone in and around the club. You've all made my time at the club very special. I'm so happy to have met and worked with so many great people. And I will be forever grateful for all of the fans believing in me and wanting the best for me and the team. The last 6 months has obviously been very tough. As a team and on a personal note. Looking back at the injury I got first game of the season I should definitely have taken my time off to heal it and it has played a bigger role than it should. I'm sad leaving Wolves and will forever support the team and it will always have a special place in my heart. I Will bring the nice moments with me and look back at last years record breaking season with a big smile. It couldn't have been done all alone. A special thank you to all the players and staff and I wish you all the best for the remainder of the season. ❤️” #wwfcshow more

The whole process of putting together the "I hate... cowboys" record and the "go down singin'" record was a long two years of figuring out how do something I've never done before. All the songs were written on guitar and a depth I haven't really hit before. This is the final piece of that puzzle. "The fireside sessions" are both those albums together, all acoustic, featuring the songwriters from both those records. This time in my career ends with both album covers together with me and my dad standing next to each other. It's the first time I've ever been able to see a picture of us as two grown men. I'm moving on to another album early next year, but I hope y'all love these versions of the songs, as they were written. The bluebird last night was a special way to celebrate the ending of these last two years, and the start of something new👏🏼show more

“The Raiders are a tough team; they have playmakers... all over the field. They have one of the best tight ends, [Brock Bowers], and RB [Ashton Jeanty]. It will be a great challenge for us as a defense.” Former Raiders LB Robert Spillane, now a captain with the Patriots, on facing his former team in Week 1. 🎥: New England Patriots #RaiderNation | #LVvsNEshow more

Wildest game of the NCHSAA regionals so far (and... maybe the NCHSAA season)? So Salisbury beat Central Davidson to go the state finals for the first time in 39 years. This is how it happened: Central’s Eli Staten hit a 3 with 2.8 seconds left to put his team up 46-44. But after a timeout, freshman Royce Perkins hit a halfcourt bank shot to top it. WATCH:show more

First time attending a game at Ohio State as... a fan, and couldn’t have been more impressed. Have always loved the passion and energy from the best damn fans in the land, but actually walking around campus and seeing the love people have for this team and university is something you truly can’t put into words. Never would’ve imagined one of the most impactful games of my OSU career would come when I’m not wearing a uniform. In the words of Jim Tressel, I thank God everyday he made me a Buckeye.show more

My 16th season on tour comes to an end.... Like every other year it was full of ups and downs but still enjoyed every minute of it. I’m very lucky to call this a job. Andrew Wiggins on Warriors giving him a tribute video... and standing ovation: “It was a great tribute, definitely meant a lot to see all the love in the building, all the excitement, all the old faces and everything that comes with it. It was great, it’s a moment I’ll cherish — you don’t get too many of these.” Happy for Wigs.show more

I'm really lost for words. Five months ago, the... Arkansas Baptist College football team was expelled from our practice facility due to unpaid rental fees for maintenance and upkeep. Consequently, spring football practice was suspended and many of our promising student-athletes left, and many of the ballers that we were attempting to recruit, shunned our efforts. Fast forward to the third week of football in September. The Buffaloes are 2-1 with their only loss coming from FCS Houston Christian, in which they were very competitive for a half. I had no expectations for Coach Richard Wilson and his staff this season. After enduring so many challenges, just fielding a team for the 2025 football season would be considered victorious for the program. But these young men have tasted winning, and now they want more. Praying that our young men will continue growing in the Lord ✝️, hitting the books 📚, and balling 🏈 out on the football field. GOD'S PLAN 🙏🏻✝️🙌❣️show more

Can't help but smile at this one. One of... those stories I think we are going to look back and laugh at one day. ⬇️ James Voorhies was an uncommitted catcher (and a very good one) just over a year ago. Hadn't thrown a varsity inning on the mound. In October going into his senior year I played catch with him at the local elementary school. We threw on a crabgrass field and I told him after 15 minutes of playing catch that his arm, body type, and feel for the baseball were far too advanced for him to not be on the mound. James agreed to start throwing bullpens and "give it a shot". 3 weeks later I did a workout with some of our clients and James threw a bullpen on the game mound. He was 85-87 and absolutely pounded the zone. Threw 3 of the dirtiest changeups I’ve seen (we had played with a kick-change grip a few weeks prior). I had never seen him throw against hitters. Saw a 15 minute catch play session and his first bullpen in years. I Immediately sent the video to a handful of Division 1 programs that were on his list and gave them the scoop. “He's got zero track record but everything about him looks like a future pro arm”. Responses ranged anywhere from excitement to skepticism, which was 100% to be expected. Fast forward a few months to February... CSUN pulled the trigger before his high school season even started and James went on to post a 1.09 ERA, 83 IP, 60 H, 21 BB, and 83 K in his first year of pitching to help take College Park HS to the NCS championship. So here we are essentially 1 year after Jimmy started pitching full time and he’s up to 94 mph as a true freshman, with a win and a save in his first two collegiate appearances with 7.2 IP, 4 H, 1 BB, 13 K. Pretty cool story of a guy going “all in” on something new and different, and a college program taking a chance on a guy that they see future potential in. But the best part of this story and biggest point I want to make is that I firmly believe the reason Jimmy V was the guy that CSUN took a shot on was because of his makeup, work ethic, character, and competitiveness. Jimmy is one of the best “makeup” guys I’ve ever recruited or advised. He is the perfect combination of humble and confident and was the QB/captain of his football team in high school. Jimmy made it easy for CSUN to say “that’s the guy we want to take a chance on.” And yes, it helped that he was 6’4” and a big time multi-sport athlete with a ton of upside. It fires me up to watch Jimmy doing his thing at a very high level. He’s got a ton of good baseball ahead of him. @jam8svoorhies CollegePark Baseball Diablo Valley Baseball Club CSUN Baseballshow more

“This is unprecedented. I’ve been in football my entire... life, but I’ve never seen anyone go from the 8th grade to the NFL” Jon Gruden (Jon Gruden) speaking on George Fant (George Fant) who didn’t play football in high school or college, but stepped out onto the field as a rookie on Monday night football as a starting offensive tackle for the Seahawks. This was one of my favorite projects in my 20+ years as a performance coach. At the time, he didn’t have an agent, he didn’t have the funds to pay for training, but he believed in himself and that was enough to get him a chance! George just finished up his 10th season in the NFL. I’d say he made a good decision passing up the opportunity to be a pro basketball player overseas! God’s glory.show more

You can't put into words what Paul Mullin means... to Wrexham. For all his heroics on the pitch, he transcended it through his connection with the fans and the community. He gave his all for the club and delivered when it mattered the most, time and time again. The type of goalscorer a generation was told about but had never seen themselves. The man who turned us all into believers and made those dreams come true. A victim of his own success, he propelled us up the leagues so quickly that we didn't get to enjoy him long enough. To do what he did while missing two pre-seasons is absurd. Most of all, he is a great person. Someone who always puts his family first and stands up for what he believes in. A working-class lad from Litherland, who became a global star. A true Wrexham legend and one of the very best to ever wear the shirt 👑 #WxmAFCshow more

I didn’t tweet from last night’s practice as I... was focused on spending time with my family. But I’ve seen a lot of negative responses to Eagles QB Jalen Hurts throwing interceptions in practice, both from the media and fans. What I don’t understand is how can people demand a new offense, that prioritizes passing to the middle of the field and then not want to live with the growing pains of doing so? If Hurts throws a ton of interceptions during the regular season, especially after the first few weeks of the regular season, I get it. But right now? In the words of Allen Iverson…show more
