🎨Welcome to CANVAS REIMAGINED🎨 Thursday QT CHALLENGE Theme: Painterly... Art What is Painterly Art? Painterly art celebrates the visible, expressive brushwork and textured surface of traditional painting. It emphasises the artist’s hand, thick impasto strokes, blended edges, and the tactile quality of paint rather than smooth, photorealistic finishes. Rooted in movements like Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, and Romanticism, it captures mood, light, and emotion through loose, dynamic brushstrokes that make the medium itself part of the beauty. Challenge: Create your own painterly inspired piece! Capture the rich texture, visible strokes, and artistic energy of classical oil or acrylic painting. Let the brushwork tell the story. Use elements like: • Thick, expressive impasto brushstrokes with visible texture and direction • Soft, blended edges mixed with bold, energetic marks • Rich, layered colours with subtle variations and harmonious palettes • Dramatic light and shadow play, atmospheric depth, and emotional mood • Loose, gestural forms that feel alive and handmade rather than perfectly rendered Here’s a basic template you can try: [main subject], painterly style, expressive brushstrokes, thick impasto texture, visible oil painting marks, loose and gestural, rich colour layering, soft blended edges with bold accents, atmospheric lighting, emotional depth, textured canvas surface, masterpiece, traditional fine art aesthetic, in the style of John Singer Sargent, Vincent van Gogh, or Claude Monet 🎨QT or Share your art. Let’s celebrate the joy of visible brushwork and the soul of painterly expression—most of all, have fun!🎨 #CRTHEMESshow more

After winning I went for a 90 minute thai... massage. Have found these crucial to sustainability in poker. Kept to myself in the interim between winning and the delayed stream finishing. Surreal experience. Watched dealer Kate deliver the final river card and then my phone started blowing up. Afterwards dropped by Weera Thai in Chinatown and had a wicked meal and watched The Orange Bowl while replying to as many messages as I could: crab rangoons tom yum soup with shrimp yellow curry with chicken durian sticky rice iced water Tomorrow will weightlift and then play PGT $1M freeroll that I qualified for by virtue of my results this week. Have been treating my brain well lately and have noticed the results in terms of my ability to execute in poker and life. Hopefully my recent successful times will serve as motivation to anyone struggling to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Keep developing good habits, have patience and soon enough you'll likely see some exponential benefits. Thank yall for the support.show more

I was in Madison Square Garden to witness the... Rangers win the Stanley Cup in 1996. I was at Shea Stadium in 1969 and in 1986 to see the Mets win the World Series. I have been blessed beyond words to see sports magic happen live. What I witnessed on Wednesday night from the back row of the Garden was miraculous….absolute magic that will live in my heart forever. To be able to share that with my two sons and daughter in law was beyond beautiful because I was able to watch them experience something I have known in my soul since my 11th birthday on October 16th 1969. Everything is possible. Dream big. Never give up hope. Believe in the impossible and make it happen. Go Knicks. You are a team for the ages.show more

A rare magic moment shared with little vixen Summer.... Nothing beats coming eye to eye with a wild fox who approaches you on their own terms.🦊🧡 Just to clarify: I have never and will never hand-feed or stroke a wild fox. The reason is that there is nothing to be gained by the fox if I was to do this. There is a worrying trend on social media to post selfies whilst hand-feeding a fox. It makes my blood boil. To train a fox to associate a human hand with food is stupid, selfish and puts the fox in great danger! Let the animals to chose to approach you and just be in the moment, sit still and watch. Don't try to tame or train them. They are not ours but wild and free. 🐾show more

🚨🚨 BREAKING: Mike Pence, when asked by Tucker Carlson... about his fixation on The United States sending more weapons shipments to Ukraine and where the concern is for The United States in that, responded by saying, “Well that’s not my concern”. What a telling response. The globalist traitor is fully out of the closet in more ways than one and now proudly reveals his true colors time and again. And Mike Pence’s colors damn sure ain’t red, white and blue. The fact that this man actually still thinks he is a meaningful voice in the Republican Party both amuses me yet makes me question if he’s in check with reality. What a sad figure in our nation’s history he will go down as.show more

Exactly 2 months and 1 day ago I arrived... as a SAFugee in Utah. “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart.“ — Helen Keller I have spent endless hours trying to find the words to describe what we experienced being here on the 4th of July 2026, and still the words simply cannot describe the emotions, pride, heartbreak and heart’s joy of that day. Tooele wow! You stirred up every emotion. We spent the entire day. The parade being our first ever will never be forgotten. The energy, the passion and commitment to family, loyalty, bravery and this great nation was felt in our hearts as we watched endless pride for this nation by young and old. Thank you for saying in action what we feel - thank you for our freedom America. We recognise and honor that it is earned by those who gave their lives so you and I can live this free! And to describe that feeling ‘free’ in words is impossible. My heart and mind is full. My soul confirms that there is only one better feeling than this and that is in the presence of the Almighty Himself. I am still singing. Today exactly 2 months and 1 day ago I landed in this great country. And I am more proud and grateful everyday. Wow this week has been full of awesome stuff. We are officially official. Our Utah real ID’s arrived. Thank you US Postal Services, thank you Utah and thank you America! I have applied for about 60 posts in Utah before I became official. Maybe this next week will see some success. That what has been set aside for me will come. I believe it will.show more

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙢𝙮 𝙁𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 For this is the... will of my Father, that whosoever shall see the Son, and believe on him, have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day” (John 6:40). That "last day" is described in 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 "For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, We who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall by no means precede those who are asleep, for the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a signal, with the shouting of the archangel, and with the sound of the trump of God; and they that are dead in Christ shall rise first; then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds in the twinkling of an eye to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”show more

I began my art journey in 2002 as a... mature student, applying to Leith School of Art for their portfolio preparation year and then to Edinburgh College of Art for the 5 year MA Fine Art program. I was 38 years old at my graduation. My classmates called me 'Grandpa Jones', seriously. 😂 I spent the next 7 years working 3 or 4 jobs/100+ hours a week (waitering, art tutoring, charity director, Airbnb host) so I could pay for my very expensive painting habit and paint enough for an annual solo exhibition (that I had to organise and pay for myself for most of them as no commercial galleries were interested in QR code/AR tech infused paintings)... and every year but one I lost money. I was my accountants biggest loser over and over and over. 😅 So, from 32 to nearly 50 years old with my art career being a horrendous detriment to my financial future I questioned my life decisions... daily. But I never gave up. In fact, it was the opposite. With every rejection letter, with every let down and disappointment, with every financial loss, with every exhibition that didn't sell enough to even cover the costs of paint, canvas and framing, I pushed even harder. I worked even harder. I looked for new ways to differentiate myself from all the other artists around me and I invested everything I had into me and my future. Fortune favours the brave. If you're willing to put in the time, the work and the risk you will be rewarded. It may take 5 years, 10 years, 20 years or more but eventually, if you keep working and taking the risks that the rest are not willing to take (creatively and financially) you will succeed. Don't blame others for your failure. Take the knock backs, take the disappointments, take the rejections, and use them to drive you. If you are willing and able to commit 100% for however long it takes, you will succeed. This is a fact and I'm proof of that. Stop listening to the FUD, stop listening to those who don't believe in you. Show them how wrong they are. Again, it may take years, even decades, but fortune favours the bold and this is undeniable. Will you give up or will you keep pushing, learning, growing, expanding your ideas and your creative output? If you are, I look forward to seeing what you're doing, what you're creating and where you'll be in the next few years and beyond. Comment below and then connect with me in 2 years and tag me. I want to see how many of you will still be here working, grinding and creating art regardless of bear or bull markets. Artwork: EthGirl - Genesis NFT & collab with the great ᗩᒪᎧTTᗩ ᗰᎧᑎEY❂show more

Iran launches symbolic missile attack against Israel, which retaliates... strongly After Iran launched a symbolic attack against Israel in protest against the attacks on Beirut, hours later it was Israel's turn to retaliate, this time indeed with violence and hitting more than 10 targets in Iran, including Tehran airport and Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, Kermanshah, Karaj, and some other areas in western Iran. Israel used air-launched ballistic missiles from Iranian airspace and also dared to launch cruise missiles from ships stationed in the Mediterranean. The White House said the US had no part in the attack; however, strangely, American tanker planes were seen in the air. Refueling whom? It wasn't my motorcycle. There are two questions at this moment: One is that since the Iranian retaliation did not hit targets in Israel in a significant way, it is very likely that Iran still has a serious problem with the refurbishment and upgrade of its long-range missiles. And the other is that perhaps the US has not only reinstated THAAD radars and others but also added more batteries brought from Asia that were positioned in advance in the corridors. Be that as it may, the current situation forces Iran to retaliate and show that it possesses real means of inflicting damage on Israel. There will be no ceasefire in Lebanon in the way Iran desires, simply because Israel saw the quantity of missiles that Hezbollah accumulated in a short period of time and will not allow that again. Israel has its own agenda, its own interests, and they are completely antagonistic to the peace plan that has been discussed. Trump is trying to save his political skin, but Netanyahu will impose his agenda and Trump will be dragged along by it. But while Trump isn't dragged along, Iran seems to be wanting to settle scores with Israel, launching a new wave of missiles along with Yemen, which, by all accounts, has also decided to launch missiles against Israel. It remains to be seen what the level of these attacks will be. In the last few instances, the Houthis launched merely symbolic attacks. Join my substack and support my work:show more

We said goodbye to my father today. George Mathew,... known by Sunny to friends & family, was truly a one of one. From being born to unimaginable hardships in India, to coming to America with only $20 in his pocket ($7 of which that he spent on beer in London), to becoming a successful business man and father, he was the embodiment of “beating the odds” and living the American dream. I owe my life to his sacrifice. This is my favorite photo of us two, taken recently on my engagement this year. Dad was battling late stage cancer at this point but didn’t hesitate to be there on my special day because he wanted to see me mark the beginning of my new life as a grown man. And, even in that amazing moment, I was so excited to just get a hug and approval from my dad. Cheers to the honor of being your son and knowing we’ll get to dance together again in the future. RIP Pops ❤️ 3/19/59-7/20/23.show more

Anomaa Bronii, my daughter in law, called me in... the afternoon and said, ‘Mummy, I’m sorry I couldn’t be there today, but what did you cook?’ I said ‘Jollof, kebabs, spare ribs, spicy chicken, fried yam and plantain, goat meat stew, potato salad, lamb chops, Stephanie style, Gizzards and home made bread’. With a burst of excitement, Anomaa chirped, ‘Can you package some food for me?’. I smiled happily and said ‘Of Course, do you want everything?’ She joyously replied ‘Yes please. I’d love a lot more of the gizzard’. I looked in the almost empty gizzard dish and said ‘The girls ate most of that, but I’ll cook a fresh batch for you, don’t worry’. For a few days, JJ and Anomaa will have a feast and Cameron will also be set for the week with plenty of food in his fridge. Both left very happy. Unfortunately, the boys left me with 3 very unhappy, and angry daughters and a husband who were ready to be@t me, for giving all the food to my boys.🫣 Family Sundays is important to me, so when my African cooking brings my children back home, that makes me very happy. My job is done.show more

Rosy Team 💌 ❝This day, for you and for... us, is warm, joyful, and one that shines with stars in the river of time Perhaps, right now, you're still working hard, or maybe you're already in your sweet dreams Yet this phrase, "Happy Birthday Zhao Lusi," which has been repeated by countless people, will become the most uplifting and reassuring force of today! It will be a force that brings a smile to our faces from the beginning to the end of the day These forces come from every corner of the world, gathering together, and at this beautiful moment, we raise our glasses in celebration with you, separated by the full moon, the sunrise, clouds, and waves Look, so many people love you! May you, at 26, become a "more mature child," handling things with calmness, yet remaining romantically innocent. May you have the strength to challenge the rules of the world, and genuinely say, "Growing up is wonderful." You can also boldly remain a child, protect your inner self more firmly, and pursue what you love with greater determination. We have walked through your 25th year together. We’ve savored the pear blossom wine hidden beneath the phoenix trees (A Yin), held Duan Wu— who has picked pearls from the depths of the sea, in our hearts, remembered the bright and sparkling smile of Xu Yan, and are moved by the passionate vivacity of Ruan Yu who runs barefoot. In the future, we will accompany you through more roles in life, experiencing each moment when you give your all. We believe that they will bring even more unique brilliance into your world. This pure and open heart will surge like the ocean and stretch endlessly like green grass. At 26, we’ll still be here. Wishing you a Happy Birthday, be happy everyday. May you have days that are fun, full of hope, and endless anticipation 🎂❞ HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZHAO LUSI #RosyBloomsAt26show more

#AGTG After much thought, prayer, and countless years of... hard work, I am beyond blessed and excited to announce my commitment to Temple Football !! First and foremost, I want to thank God for the opportunities and the strength He’s given me. I wouldn’t be here without Him leading me down this path. There has been many times where this seemed impossible, but through my trust in Jesus I have made it to this point. Thank you to my family for the endless support, love, and sacrifices. The countless hours spent driving me, teaching me, and all of the money spent on my dreams. Thank you to all of the people who have been in my corner helping me along this route. Thank you to all the coaches who have worked with me, supported me, believed in me, and pushed me day in and day out to be the best version of myself. Thank you to Tyler Walker KC Keeler and the temple community for believing in me and giving me an opportunity to make my dreams a reality. I can’t wait to win some games together. To my teammates and trainers, thank you for grinding alongside me and helping me grow every day, and to every school that recruited me, I’m grateful for your belief in my potential.
