Today was the final day with the Mrs. and... our two friends in Scotland… (my trip continues for another 6 days 😬) We finished at Kilspindie today - the perfect course to wrap up our incredible trip. A “wee breeze” as Scots would say… This video on the front nine shows how strong it was. (The green is midway between the white house and left edge of the video). Ball ended up on the left side of the fairway. 🫣 Cc: Jamie Kennedyshow more

"I was at this service today and my heart... is absolutely shattered. This brave soldier, a double amputee, was laying his loyal K9 partner to rest. The pain in his voice as he said his final goodbye was just gut-wrenching to witness. That dog was more than a partner, he was family. A true hero who served right by his side. Rest easy, brave boy. BREAKING: Huge crowds have gathered today in Revolution Square... in Tehran, Iran, pledging allegiance to the new Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mottaba Hosseini Khamenei, a man who is believed to be even more violent, more hateful, and more bound on harming the West than his predecessor. This is why Trump’s attempts at regime change are not so feasible. While the majority of people in Iran are against the regime, there are also millions of people like these who do support them. Unfortunately bombing schools and then lying about it won't get more Iranians on America's side.show more

Tyler didn't take a shot and was probably just... honeydicked to show up in the morning to be seen on camera.. his rifle had dust in the barrel and his DNA was on it but degraded. They didn't find his fingerprints or his DNA on the roof even though he GI Joe'd from the rooftop without gloves. We don't have a single frame of video that shows the rifle near the crime scene and we don't have his license plate scanned even though he parked in a paid lot that processes payments with the license plate. The microphone wasn't in Charlie's possession and the only time he saw it was when his AV team clipped it on its side underneath his shirt... the same AV team that makes a selfie video while hiding behind a wall saying that "they killed Charlie" and then goes and pulls the SD cards from the cameras that were around Charlie. As far as we know that microphone could have had explosives in it for months. The walkie talkies were used by Hezbolla for years before the Israelis blew them up remotely.show more

Just a week after making his U18s debut, Muawiya... Ghanem has been named Player of the Tournament at this week’s U15 Premier League International Cup.🤯🏆 Last Saturday, Ghanem came on for the final 30 minutes against Everton U18s for his first appearance at U18 level, just a couple of months after turning 15. This made him one of the youngest ever players to feature for Newcastle United U18s.✅ Over the last 3 days, Ghanem has been playing in the U15 Premier League International Tournament, where his Newcastle side went on to beat Man City 1-0 in the final today after he scored the winning goal.😯 Across the 5 games Newcastle United U15s played, Muawiya bagged 3 goals and 2 assists - taking him to 50 G/A for the season (20 goals and 30 assists).⚽️🅰️ He only joined Newcastle at the beginning of the season from West Brom, and what a first season it’s proving to be.🤩👏show more

"AI cannot do that" is beginning to sound less... certain by the day. Prompt : An epic 15-second ancient war field under harsh daylight, with bronze armor flashing, sand and dust storms rolling low, spears colliding, and cavalry breaking through infantry lines. A royal archer stands on a broken stone platform in side silhouette. The camera starts in a wide horizontal track far across the battlefield, passing waves of fighters before reaching him as he pulls and releases. The arrow bursts forward. The camera tracks beside it from a horizontal side angle, close enough to see the shaft trembling as it slices through dust and sunlight. It races toward a wounded commander kneeling in the open, helmet fallen off, unable to move. The arrow closes fast, every frame increasing tension. Final epic ending: just before impact, a massive armored guard lunges into frame and slams his shield in front of the commander. The arrow drives deep into the shield face with violent force, stopping a breath away from the man behind it. The guard drops to one knee under the impact while the saved commander looks up in disbelief.show more

4th Kōkūtai Mitsubishi G4M1 "Betty" missing its port engine... falls into the sea just short of USS Lexington on February 20th 1942 during the action off Bougainville This was a naval and air engagement in the South Pacific Theater of World War II near Bougainville, Papua New Guinea where a United States Navy aircraft carrier task force centered around USS Lexington on its way to raid the Imperial Japanese military base at Rabaul was attacked by a force of land-based bombers of the Imperial Japanese Navy. In the ensuing engagement, the Japanese air group lost 15 of 17 bombers sent to attack the American carrier group. The United States lost only two fighters in defense, and no ships were damaged. As a result of the loss of surprise, however, the Americans retired without raiding Rabaul as originally planned. The aircraft visible in the clip is a G4M1 of 4th Kōkūtai's 1st Chûtai commanded by Lieutenant Commander Takuzo Ito, the group's commanding officer. Together with seven other "Betties" his formation was attacked by two Wildcats, flown by Lieutenant Edward "Butch" O'Hare and Lieutenant (junior grade) Marion Dufilho. During the first pass, Dufilho's guns jammed, leaving O'Hare to attack the bombers alone. O'Hare employed a high-side diving attack from the right side of the formation, accurately placing bursts of gunfire into the outside "Betty"'s right engine and wing fuel tanks. When the stricken craft, commanded by Petty Officer 2nd Class Ryosuke Kogiku (3rd Shotai), lurched to starboard, O'Hare switched to the next plane up the line, that of Petty Officer 1st Class Koji Maeda (3rd Shotai leader). Maeda's plane caught fire, but his crew managed to put out the flames with "one single spurt of liquid...from the fire-extinguisher." Neither Maeda or Kogiku had sustained fatal damage, and would catch up with the group before bomb release. With two "Bettys" knocked out of formation, albeit temporarily, O'Hare initiated another firing pass, this time from the left side. His first target was the outside plane, flown by Petty Officer 1st Class Bin Mori (2nd Shotai). Aiming across to the far side of Mori's bomber, O'Hare's bullets damaged the right engine and left fuel tank, forcing Mori to dump his bombs and abort his mission. With Mori out of combat, O'Hare next targeted Ito's senior wingman, Petty Officer 1st Class Susumu Uchiyama (1st Shotai), whose plane did not recover from its dive. Having shot up four bombers, O'Hare returned to the left side for a third firing pass. By now, Ito was nearing the bomb release point, which left very little time to take action. The first plane to go down was Ito's deputy, Lieutenant (junior grade) Akira Mitani (2nd Shotai leader). Mitani's departure left Ito's command plane exposed, and O'Hare opened up on it. O'Hare's concentrated fire caused the plane's port engine nacelle to break free of the wing. The resulting explosion was so violent that the 1st Chûtai pilots were convinced that an AA burst had struck their commander's plane. With a gaping hole in its left wing, Ito's plane fell out of formation. As the surviving "Bettys" withdrew, Ito's command pilot, Warrant Officer Chuzo Watanabe, managed to regain enough control to level his plane. He tried to steer his damaged plane into Lexington, but missed and flew into the water near the carrier at 17:12. Maeda, witnessing the event, believed that both Ito and Mitani (who had gone down moments earlier) had crashed "bombs, crew and all" into the carrier. The crippled plane is seen barely remaining airborne while flying on one engine and does not survive the concentrated anti-aircraft fire coming from the carrier.show more

Today was our largest adoption event in twelve years.... We have been planning it for six months. This morning we had thirty-two dogs. By 5pm we had one. Thirty-one dogs found homes today. It was extraordinary. It was everything we worked for. We were crying happy tears all afternoon. At 6pm I did my final walkthrough. I turned into the main corridor and I stopped. Every kennel door was open. Every kennel was empty. Except kennel 6. Walter was at his door. Face at the chain-link. Tail going. Looking out at the corridor of empty open kennels the same way he had been looking out at families all day — with his ears forward and his amber eyes warm and his tail giving the same wag he gives to everything. He does not know every other dog went home today. He knows the wag. He keeps giving the wag. I walked down that corridor to him. Thirty-one open empty kennels on either side of me. And Walter at the end of it, still wagging, still here, still completely and constitutionally Walter. He is approximately three years old. He is large. He is warm. He has never in his shelter life given anything less than his full wag to whoever was outside his kennel. Today he gave it to thirty-one families who chose other dogs. Tonight he gave it to an empty corridor. Tomorrow he will give it to whoever comes. He deserves to give it to someone who stays. Drop a ❤️ for Walter. Share this until it reaches the family who walks down that corridor tomorrow and finds the one closed door and opens it. He will be wagging. He is always wagging. He has never stopped."show more

Today, 2.15 PM Near Jayalakshmi Bakery, JC Road, Raj... Rammohan Roy extension, Sudhama Nagar. Bangalore I saw a Traffic policeman hitting the Auto driver and started recording the video. The reason why the traffic policeman hit the auto driver was that the Policeman was parking his bike on the side of the road by sitting on the bike while the auto driver with the passengers in the auto hit the bike slightly by mistake. The Traffic policeman got angry and stopped the auto and asked the driver to get down and told the driver about what he had done, the driver apologized to the policeman saying it was by mistake and he didn't see it coming by folding his hands, still, the policeman couldn't control his outrage and slapped the Auto driver as you can see in the video. And the police saw me recording and told me why didn't I record the phase when the auto driver hit his bike. And I had to answer him how can he hit a man in public as he was not ready to answer and still kept questioning me about recording. Nowadays we see thuggish behaviour by people who have power. It doesn't say anywhere that if one has power can do anything and everything. There is the liberty to utilize the powers as ensured in the Statute. Use the power but please don't misuseshow more

Spiked on some good news last week and held up with good volume and potential breakout. No near term catalysts but with the way this administration has been moving, could see more good news come at any time so it's worth holding for a bit right now. No real overhang I could find and only good tailwinds. Everything else just feels too overbought. Credit to Ahsen and his $318k all in for the inspo and starting my deep dive More thesis and specifics from my Alpha app below. --- As a reminder: this is my challenge account where I restarted with $35k to go all-in swing trading 1 stock at a time to $10M again. The little terrier had been at the shelter for... nearly five weeks, and most people only knew him as the dog who stayed pressed against the back wall. If someone stopped at his kennel for too long, he lowered his head, flattened his ears and waited for them to leave. One morning, an older caretaker named Frank was mopping the hallway when he noticed the kennel door was already open for cleaning. The dog could have walked out whenever he wanted, but he was still sitting on the same gray blanket, watching every movement from the far corner. Frank finished one last pass with the mop and leaned it against the wall. Then he slowly lowered himself onto one knee a few feet outside the kennel instead of stepping inside. "Oh, you don't have to be scared," he said softly. "Come here, buddy." The terrier didn't move. Frank kept one hand low near the floor, turned his body slightly sideways and waited without calling him again. After a while, the dog stood up. He took one careful step toward the doorway, stopped, watched Frank for a few seconds, then took another. Frank stayed exactly where he was. The little terrier finally crossed the open doorway on his own. He lowered his nose to Frank's fingers, sniffed them slowly and stood there as if he still hadn't decided whether staying was safe. Then he leaned his face into Frank's palm. "That's it, buddy," Frank whispered. Frank gently rubbed beneath his chin and along the side of his face. The dog's shoulders started to relax, his tail moved once, and he stepped close enough to press his body against Frank's chest. Only then did Frank put an arm around him. The terrier stayed there quietly while the shelter carried on around them. A few minutes earlier, he had been too frightened to leave the back of the kennel. Now he was standing outside it with his eyes half closed against the chest of a man who never forced him to come closer. Frank eventually went back to cleaning the hallway. The little dog followed him with his eyes and never returned to the far corner. How long do you think you would have waited for him to take that first step?show more

Why do babies “fake” cry? For the same reason... they really cry: to communicate their needs and seek the love and attention of their caregivers. Occasionally you’ll see such behaviors described to as manipulative, with some even going so far as to suggest children’s fake cries are to be ignored. You’ll find me on the opposite side of that debate. Fake cries are a communication tool common to infants and toddlers whose expressive language simply isn’t developed quite to the point that they can express their needs using words. For that reason you may find this behavior increase between, say, 10-18 months. Fake cries are just your maturing baby relying on the tool that’s always drawn your attention in the past. This sweet little guy, shared to IG by parentingessentials, doesn’t seem to be in too much distress… in fact he seems to be enjoying the interaction with mom, which may itself be the message his cry was intended to communicate: come play with/talk to me. But a fake cry is also a great opportunity to assess the state of other needs. Might a diaper need changing? Is it meal time? Time for a change of scenery? There’s a real message behind even the fakest of cries. So treat them like the real thing, only in a more advanced communicative form.show more

UPDATE: We have full names of the attackers Today,... while Sheikh Saeed lies in the hospital with his leg amputated after being shot on Thursday by a settler, a hearing was held on the matter at the military court of the apartheid regime. However, the suspects are not the settlers who attacked Saeed and his son, but the victims themselves. Saeed’s 15-year-old son, who was attacked alongside him, was abducted from the scene after his father was shot and has since been held at the Israeli Ofer detention camp. Saeed himself was detained as a prisoner at Soroka Hospital and was not allowed to receive visitors or see his relatives or family members. Today, the court decided to release both of them from detention, demanding 10,000 shekels for their release. Due to technical reasons, the release will be delayed and will only take place tomorrow. Binyamin Bodenheimer—the settler who shot Saeed—is the security coordinator of the settlement of Avigail. As the person responsible for the settlement’s security, he is deeply committed to acting in the settlement’s interests, which means to the harm of his Palestinian neighbors. His activities include, among other things, expelling shepherds from their lands, harassing residents who are under threat of expulsion, and invading villages with youths from the settlement. Many complaints have been filed against Bodenheimer with the police, along with documentation proving the allegations, but the police, of course, are unfazed. Those belonging to the “superior race” are exempt from the law. Even when Bodenheimer shot Saeed, he was not required to appear for questioning (as far as is known). As for his arrest—there is no question of that, while Saeed, who was shot by him, is held as a detainee in the hospital. Today, Bodenheimer returned again to the area where the incident occurred, near Saeed’s home. Apparently, it was not enough for him, and he wants to continue making Saeed’s family’s life miserable as they are still processing the fresh trauma and new reality forced upon them. Apparently, the attacker also wanted to remind them that he is there at any given moment, that he is free and can continue to harm them as much as he wants, with the assistance and protection of the apartheid regime.
