TESLA’S NEXT-GEN OPTIMUS V3 HAND IS GETTING CLOSE TO... HUMAN-LEVEL Tesla engineers just shared new details on the Optimus V3 hand — and the progress is striking. They’re now saying that as they move into Gen-3 and mass production, the hand is getting very close to human functionality and form factor. One engineer described it clearly: “It won’t even look like a robot. It will look like a human in a superhero suit. It will be something revolutionary.” This level of dexterity and human-like design is a critical milestone. The hand is one of the hardest parts of building a truly useful humanoid robot — and Tesla is iterating extremely fast.show more

Injustice is the misalignment of human behavior and social... order with norms that ought to be truly human — humane, reasonable, and faithful to their essence. : The author defines injustice not as a random misfortune or isolated act of cruelty, but as a fundamental misalignment between how humans actually behave and organize their societies and the norms that ought to govern them. Those norms must be truly human: humane in spirit, reasonable in application, and faithful to the deepest essence of what it means to be human. When our laws, institutions, customs, or daily conduct drift away from this standard, injustice takes root. It appears in systems that treat people as means rather than ends, in hierarchies that ignore dignity, and in habits that favor convenience over compassion. The gap between what is and what should be becomes the very measure of injustice. True justice, therefore, is the ongoing effort to close that gap, to shape both personal conduct and social structures so they reflect our highest understanding of humanity. It is not a fixed state but a continuous alignment with the humane, the rational, and the authentically human.show more

This afternoon we left the puppy at home with... uncle Jason and we went out with Detective Dug 🇨🇦. There were some dogs not on leashes (apparently the big signs pointing to the off leash area 0.8km away was too hard for their humans to understand) so I stood still on the path and had them focus on me so Dug could take his human and hide out of sight. He can get scared by strange dogs. The one dog's human kept calling him and it took forever for him to go. Maybe the human was as bad at speaking dog as they were at reading signs in human language? Then Dug and I played scent games. I've never done that away from home. It's way harder to choose which cone has the scent under it when there's strange humans and animals around. We're gonna have to really practice that! We also got to see geese and a rabbit! We stopped at the mailbox and I carried the mail home!!! It was the bestest day! Maybe almost as good as tomorrow is going to be!!!show more
