When Baby Clyde arrived at the shelter last December... he could barely walk at all. When I adopted him he had already had one surgery on his leg and he walked with a limp. When I first saw videos of sweet little Jimothy, the way he hobbled around reminded me of Baby Clyde and my mom said the same thing. I got Baby Clyde a second surgery on his leg and now he runs, jumps and bunny hops with no problem like a total champion! Baby Clyde is so resilient and a fighter just like Jimothy. I’m in awe of how fast he’s been healing from his trauma and overcoming his medical issues. He inspires me every single day. Be like Baby Clyde and Jimothy. 💕show more

The post said: “Cleveland TX. This dog has been... on the street for three years asking for help. Begging for help.” He had no name. The video broke mom. The way he walked to the car. Still hopeful someone would help him. Mom just couldn’t stand it. She inquired. Street feeders confirmed he’s survived 3 years on the streets of TX. We had him picked up. We got him to a vet for a health cert. We had him transported to our vet. 1100 miles away. He has a bullet in his leg. He’s the sweetest, most gentle boy. His name is now Luke. He matters. This $5 Friday is for Luke.show more

Brysen Wright, RareBreeds 12U 6'2 180, Wide Receiver St.... Augustine, Florida The best player on the field was obvious for Sunday's main event of the Youth National Championship presented by Battle Sports. Wide receiver Bryson Wright is the prototype as a pass catcher. Massive frame that is already Power Five ready despite still in middle school. He is filled out and with six-plus years of development before he can even enter a college weight training program, he passes the eye test better than most top wide receiver prospects in the 2024 class right now. An addition to the already star studded RareBreeds perennial Yfbplayoff winning squad, Wright has brought a 'Florida swagger' to a team that dominated 40-14. "The coaching." said Wright on what has elevated him to the top of his age group. "I've been working with the right coaching, learning how to not be selfish and always just do the best I can. Normally tall, bigger guys can't play the way I play. I'm athletic for my size and that's really the biggest part of my game that makes me different." Intangible-wise he checks every single box the same as his size. Wright was able to run multiple routes and did not simply rely on being the biggest skill position player on the field. He is a natural catcher of the football and showed it on a highlight-worthy one-handed grab in the left corner of the endzone early in the contest. On an in-breaking 10-yard route, Wright took a reception for 40-plus for a score proving he can mix in some explosiveness and speed to being a massive target. Ohio State, Florida State, North Carolina and Georgia are schools he hopes to hear from once he gets to the high school level, but he may not have to wait too long. College coaches are already taking notice of the advanced offensive weapon and he could end up one of the few middle school prospects to earn Power Five offers before even deciding where he plays high school ball.show more

It was shots like those that made many of... us fall in love with cricket! He was not just a player, he was a golden dream that the game of cricket saw and it lasted for 24 long years. He conquered just about everything and gave all the cricket fans so many moments to cherish, to feel proud of, to rejoice. He was the hope for an ordinary Indian man in the 90s and that line "when Sachin walked out to bat, people switched on their TV sets and switched off their lives" sums up the amount of impact he had. He was, he is and he will always be an emotion!! ❤️🙏show more

Alan Ritchson’s Unhinged Attack on Trump — Reckless Accusations... Without Evidence Actor Alan Ritchson went on a reckless, aggressive rant full of unproven claims and personal attacks against President Trump over the Epstein files during a recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. In the outburst he said things along the lines of: “Where are the Epstein files? It’s a f–king law. Show it, you f–king [redacted]. Give me the f–king Manila envelope. That b–tch has the keys to the nuclear codes. He’s all up into [redacted]. Go to jail.” (Video: AI) These kinds of public accusations, made without evidence, cross into potentially defamatory territory. President Trump would be well within his rights to pursue legal action — and should seriously consider it. Political criticism is healthy for a free society. What Ritchson did here was not that. America is best helped by constructive critiques based on proven facts. Ritchson would be best advised to retract these unhinged statements and focus on what’s truthful and helpful for the country.show more

They don't make 'em like Neil Warnock any more.... The legendary gaffer used to pick the team based on his wife's dreams. And on one occasion this led to a mad result... The night before a big FA Cup tie with Wolves, Warnock's wife Sharon dreamed that a right back would score the winning goal. The next morning, Neil walked into the dressing room and told them about the dream. "Danny Butterfield", he said, pointing to the club's second choice right-back. "You're playing up front". The players were baffled: Butterfield had scored 1 goal in 6 years. But Sharon must have been on to something... Butterfield scored a 6 minute hat-trick Palace won 3-1.show more

Unfortunately he won't take the room for 5 days... because as he puts it, it's not permanent and he believes he will be back on the streets afterwards as it's happened to him previously he tells me. I've tried my hardest to reassure him that I won't let that happen but he says he's been let down so many times before that he just doesn't believe it and is happy where he is until I can find him a permanent room in a shared house I've spoken with him long and hard over the last week and I've come to the conclusion based on everything he's told me and my research that he's not a British army veteran with a service number he talks of being a mercenary part of the 13 commandos part of the French foreign legion and has the cap badge on his hat. What I do know is he's a 59 year old man with health problems but no drug or alcohol problems that is living in a tent in wasteland. My level of support hasn't changed he shouldn't be in wasteland in a tent rotting away with no family no support in 2025 I'm going to try my hardest this week to secure a room in a shared house the 5 night stay at the guest house is non refundable but it is what it is I just wanted to make sure he woke up on his 60th birthday in a better place. We tried our hardest but it doesn't always work out how you planned it in your head. Thank you all for sharing and raising awareness and thank you to Robert a long time supporter who has purchased a birthday cake for me to give him tomorrow 💙show more

Sergeant Williams sat against that wall thinking he shouldn't... have come here at all. He's 52 years old. Iraq veteran. Lost his right leg below the knee to an IED 2008. His German Shepherd passed away seven months ago. He came to Harbor Ridge Shelter last Saturday thinking maybe he was foolish. Maybe no dog would want someone with a prosthetic. Someone who can't run or hike properly. Maybe being an amputee meant no dog would connect with him. He sat against the wall and watched everyone else. Young families being mobbed by energetic puppies. Couples playing fetch with excited dogs. College kids being jumped on by playful rescues. Then one German Shepherd mix quietly walked away from all the activity. Named Duke. Nine-year-old mutt. Duke walked past the family with eight children actively calling to him. Past the young couple on the floor playing. Past the teenagers with treats and toys. Walked straight to Sergeant Williams. Lay down directly at his feet. Right next to his prosthetic leg. Just stayed there. Looking up at him with calm, steady eyes. Sergeant Williams covered his face with both hands. Started crying so hard his whole body shook. Couldn't stop. Couldn't control it. Shelter volunteer told us through tears: "Duke walked past at least thirty other people. Including children literally on the ground playing with him. Made a straight line to Sergeant Williams. Lay down right next to his prosthetic leg. Chose him deliberately and immediately. It was the most beautiful thing l've ever seen in my entire life." Sergeant Williams adopted Duke eight hours later. Told us through tears: "! thought being an amputee meant no dog world want me Thought I couldn't offer enough. Duke proved me so completely wrong. He saw me. He chose me. Lay down right next to my prosthetic like it didn't matter at all." Sometimes the soul that needs you most sees past physical limitations straight to your heart and soul.show more

"Look at the dust on the road to your... temple. Drive there next Saturday. Walk the last mile if you can. Approach it the way the early Saints approached Kirtland. On foot, in the open air, with time to reflect on what you are about to do. The modern temple experience has been engineered for convenience. The parking lot is right there. The locker room is right there. The session begins at a posted time and ends at a posted time and you are out and on with your day. This convenience is mercy. The Brethren have made the temple accessible to a busy people, and the accessibility is itself a gift. But the convenience has cost us something. The early Saints walked. They walked from Far West to Kirtland for the dedication. They walked from Nauvoo to the unfinished temple on the hill. They walked from their wagon trains to the Endowment House in the valley. The walking was preparation. By the time they crossed the threshold, they had already left the world behind in their bodies, in their feet, in their breath. They arrived primed for the encounter. You will not walk a thousand miles. You can walk a mile. You can fast that morning. You can sit in the car for fifteen minutes before going in, with no phone, doing nothing but settling your spirit. You can treat the approach to the temple as part of the temple, the way they did. The temple has not been diminished by our convenience, but our reception of it has been. Restore the approach. Make the journey, however short, into something that prepares you. The temple will then meet you with a fullness it cannot give to someone who walks in distracted."show more

On Tuesday, Gov. Bob Ferguson announced his support for... a Washington state income tax. He says he “will not support an income tax for people who make less than $1 million in a year.” But he also said in January that “we must be willing to right-size government and prioritize our spending” before approving the largest tax increase in state history and more runaway spending by legislative Democrats. The truth is, it will be millionaires today but could be you tomorrow. When the federal income tax was enacted in 1913, only about 2% of American households filed a tax return. Today, it’s nearly universal. House Republicans oppose new taxes. State government has a spending problem, not a revenue problem.show more
