Another SUPER useful prototype app to make using visionOS... 27’s High Frame Rate Object Tracking and Low-Latency Video (via LowLevelDeviceResource) Capturing Spatial Video on my Stereo Lens is annoying. Viewfinder is split in half! Lets make a 3D digital one that tracks on top!show more

One thing Apple consistently gets right is the little... details. The animations that appear while scanning your Persona on Apple Vision Pro are incredibly polished and make the whole experience feel premium. It's details like these that make visionOS feel less like an experiment and more like the foundation of where spatial computing is headed. What's your favorite attention to detail moment in visionOS?show more

Do you use Runway Gen-2 to make AI videos?... This is for you! I built a simple tool to help "extend" Runway videos beyond the 4 second clip limit. Just choose a video, and the tool will give you the final frame -- so that you can drop this back into Runway, and generate another AI video based on it. Let me know if this is useful to you! Link is at bottom of the video and it's live to try right now.show more

Adding keyframes to the 3D feature tracking shows that... the object in the Pentagon's PR043 UFO video is consistent with a ~13 cm diameter object moving in level flight at 20 knots. Or any number of faster, larger objects. So maybe a bird, or a balloon.show more

Given a monocular video as input, #HOLD reconstructs 3D... hand and object surfaces for every frame without assuming a known object template. Our key insight is that interacting hands and objects provide complementary cues about each other's shape and pose. 1/4show more

Vehicle tracking using Ultralytics YOLO26 👀 In this demo,... I trained the YOLO26 model on a custom dataset and later used an object tracker (Bytetrack) to track the objects in the video file. Note: I also performed testing with Botsort, which is also a good tracker, but it's slow in comparision to Bytetrack. #Tracking #ComputerVision #MachineLearningshow more

Single video → a reframeable 4D Gaussian Splatting scene.... Not a sequence of separately built 3D frames played back like a video. This is one continuous space-time scene, reconstructed from a single clip shot on an iPhone 16. We combine feed-forward Gaussian generation, 3D tracking, and 4D Gaussian Splatting, aiming to deliver it as a compact 4D video file that runs on your phone. Still early R&D. The goal: make 4DGS something anyone can create and experience, not just researchers with a camera rig.show more

Huawei's new 3D lock screen wallpaper is actually pretty... interesting. Unlike iPhone's Spatial Photo, which creates a fixed stereoscopic depth effect from a photo, this lets you scan an object 360°, generate a full 3D Gaussian Splatting asset, and use that as your lock screen. Tilt the phone and you're moving through a reconstructed 3D scene, not a fixed stereo image. The part worth paying attention to: 3D capture moving out of creative pipelines and into everyday phone personalization. That's a different kind of adoption curve.show more
