Drakkhen (1989) by Infogrames. This game broke my brain... back in the day. I wanted to play it so badly! It looked incredibly awesome and intriguing - yet I had no clue how to properly play it. Way ahead of its time, an absolute gem. Drakkhen stood out as one of the first RPGs with true 3D/open-world exploration, and it was also an early example of real-time tactics in RPGs. It had a wonderfully eerie soundtrack, some bizarre enemies, a cryptic story, and a strong sense of exploration. It felt more dreamlike/surreal rather than standard fantasy. On the flip side, it was notoriously difficult and unforgiving - definitely not easy to learn or master. I think in hindsight I was simply too young. The experience of levitating in space looking down at... 20,000 people singing along to a song I wrote is one that will stick with me for a lifetime. This has been one crazy year. A month ago I travelled to Shanghai again to perform at four more arena shows, this time opening APHELION by ascending thirty feet into the air. I’ve wanted to fly while performing for over a decade now and was anxiously looking forward to it for almost six months. I looked like a little kid at Disney world when we arrived at rehearsals and did the first test lift. Endless thanks to the Wuthering Waves team for letting me cross yet another live bucket list item off my list 🤍 The whole experience was fantastic (except for the part where I broke part of my tooth off with the microphone during the second performance and had to finish the entire second half of the song with a shard of tooth stuck in my throat. So, I’ve got a bit of medical PTSD when... it comes to going under. One week ago marked two years since I was wheeled into surgery to have rods fused from C2 to T2 in my spine—only to wake up paralyzed from the shoulders down. (Now it's from the waist down, but still.) About a year after that, I found myself in an induced coma, lost in fever dreams while doctors fought to stabilize my failing renal and respiratory systems. And now, in just two weeks, I’ll be going under again—for the first time since all of that. Needless to say, I'm carrying a lot of fear into this. Thankfully, my doctor has agreed to let me wear AirPods while being sedated and even while under. Music played a huge role in helping me find peace during my coma, so I need to be incredibly intentional about what I listen to this time. Last time, Bartender was the #1 song that let me soar above the coma and into a place I needed to go, a place that made me feel OK if this were it. I’m looking for soft, calming songs—not necessarily “Lover Lay Down” on repeat, but definitely not “Halloween” crashing through the anesthesia. It's 12 months ago that I had to make... the heartbreaking decision to let poor Connie sleep. We like to think the few years we had her, where she had access to a lovely outdoor space, constant companionship and abundant love, made up for her first three miserable years being used for puppies, seldom seeing daylight and not even given a name. The unconditional love I've had from my dogs has been a gift, I readily returned. There will come a day, when I no longer have what it takes to give a dog a home. That will be one of the darkest days of my life. A lump my fill my throat and a tear run down my face, but my heart will be filled with the pure joy they brought to my life. If there is a better place than this , my dogs are already there. I imagine walking up a grassy hill under a water sun, with trees gently swaying in the breeze, with my many little dogs together besides me. In 2005 I was 13 years old the height of my exploitation I was been trafficked up and down the country my mum was screaming for help but no one cared …. In this interview my mum is under the name Vicky and my name is dawn at the time I was missing from home when my mum took part in this documentary my mum speaks at around 19 minutes into the documentary. Today is the first time I’ve ever heard it and it really has broke me hearing my mums voice brake not knowing what to do or where to turn to. It’s a long 25 minutes but it’s definitely proof that people knew full well and did nothing about it and just like one of the other survivors in this interview I was put into children’s homes for my own protection I was in and out of them all the time I would also climb out of bathroom windows not because I wanted to but because I had no choice. I was 11 when this first started and at the time of this documentary I was still a victim and not a survivor like my mums says on here by time I’m 16 I’m going to be dead either of drugs or by my abusers 💔💔 After everything me and my mums been through she really is my bestest friend and we are closer than ever I regret what I put her through but unfortunately it was all out of my control. I have severe stage fright. I’m not a content... creator and I’m not trying to become one. I made this video, asked for honest feedback in discord and got told I need a webcam, more practice, a better setup. All fair. I still took it hard, and had tears down my face. Not because the notes were wrong. Because I already knew all of it. I know I’m awkward on camera. I know it isn’t polished. I know someone will ask if I was being held hostage. Here’s where I land though. I’m a trader first. The minute content becomes the priority, trading gets squeezed, and that’s the one thing I won’t give up. BROKEN HALLELUYAH is one movie I recommend to everyone... irrespective of religion… On Monday 4th June 2016 around 10am, our 1-year marriage anniversary, my wife called me & was literally sobbing on the phone. 2 things break me on the instant & could make me cry - my wife in tears & my kids in pain. She called telling me she was tired & why has God not given us a baby. I felt her pain, pulse, tears & I had shivers all over. I didn’t know what to say. Now, you could say it’s just one year, how about those who had to wait for donkey years; but not everyone has the strength for a long period of waiting. God has said He would not make us go through what is beyond our strength. One thing you must understand each time you are going through a tough time is that God is aware & He knows you have the strength to go through it till your miracle comes. As she dropped the call, I knew this woman doesn’t have strength for a long wait. I walked into the empty board room, knelt down & I cried out to God begging Him that for the sake of my wife, He should just give us a baby. I don’t have issues as it’s just 1-year & it could very well happen within the 2nd year, but this isn’t about me cos I don’t know what this would further do to her, as she isn’t so mentally rugged like that. Just about a 10-minute heartfelt prayer to God. That very week, my wife conceived & we welcomed our bundle of joy 9 months later. Truth is that we go through these tough moments, not to break us or to punish us, but to make us better people. Today, my wife is one of the toughest women I know.
