I think whats been lost is the feeling of... characters being "drawn" on screen. The black effects used to be treated like real brush strokes, transitioning between scenes and making it feel like everything was being painted live. In that sense, the white bg also acted as a canvas.show more

When Dragon Ball Daima brought back the CLASSIC Dragon... Ball Z 'energy' sound effects, I was so incredibly happy! These sounds are just as iconic to the series as anything else in my view (even though Toei had used most of them on other projects for years before DB ever started)show more

This is one of my turntables for Bumblebee's damage... variant from Transformers Rise of the Beasts. We use renders like these to critique our work on the characters in a sterile environment before putting them into shots. Normally, fans don't get to see these behind the scenes looks at our characters, but I convinced the marketing team to also include this turntable in the official breakdown for the film as I think it is super cool to see how the characters are made and brought to life. I have so much behind the scenes work to share about Transformers but unfortunately 99% of it is under NDA so the odds are that no one else will ever see them, as unfortunate as that is.show more
