Today I have to reach another city for an... important work. Nearby petrol pumps had no petrol due to the ongoing #TruckDriversProtest so I was a bit tensed as to how I would reach my destination. I decided to wake up at 04:00 AM and reach the highway to take lift. Suddenly a truck stopped and driver offered me lift. He told me that he is from Rajasthan and he is going to return this truck to the owner. He told that today this is his last ride and from tomorrow he will do some other work. I asked, why? For which he replied it’s because of BJP, BjP has made laws in which we have to pay 10 lakhs and 10 year imprisonment if my truck meets with any accident. He told that he earns only 15k per month and doesn’t have his own house, he can’t pay this much. On Saturday evening a CAT Deputy who also happens... be a Motor Deputy stopped this moped with no plates driving through the snow. The driver works in West Omaha and lives in near Carter Lake. Deputies warned him of the dangers driving his moped on snow packed roads and he agreed but added the moped is his only mode of transportation to work. The driver was given a warning for no proof of ownership and sent on his way home. We all want to make it to work and provide for our families, and it’s hard not to feel for someone who has no other way to get there. While it's not illegal, a two wheeled vehicle on snow-packed roads is very dangerous.show more

For those who knew Seth, he was far more than a pilot or an officer in uniform. He was a husband, a father, a son, a brother, and a friend whose presence filled the lives of the people around him with love and strength. Seth grew up dreaming of becoming a pilot. That dream eventually became a life of service, one he carried with pride every time he put on his uniform. Those close to him say he loved what he did and felt honored to serve others through his work in the Air Force. But the people who knew him best remember something even greater than his career. They remember a man who was loving, generous, and kind-hearted. A man who always looked for ways to help others. Someone who could fix almost anything, who loved the outdoors, and who never hesitated to put the needs of others before his own. Above all, Seth was a devoted family man. His wife shared the heartbreak their family is now facing, describing the unimaginable pain of losing the person she loved most. In her words, Seth was not only an exceptional Airman, but the most incredible husband, father, son, brother, and friend anyone could ask for. She shared that one of the greatest honors of her life was standing beside him as he achieved the dream he had carried since childhood — becoming a pilot and serving his country. For those who don’t like Blockie, I’ve got one... for you that might change your mind: At the 2023 PGA where his life exploded, I followed him for ESPN in the final round (the one where he made the hole-in-one) and had the chance to speak to him on Sunday prior to the round when he was paired with Rory. Both he and his lovely wife Val gave me almost 20 minutes of their time and were so open and honest and offfered so many amazing stories I used on the air. No other person who was in his position with everything on the line would’ve done that. Nobody. I have also had him (and his son Dylan) on my podcast for Silver Club Golfing Society soon after that PGA and I didn’t have to jump through any hoops with his agent or anything. I even played a practice round with him at the ‘25 PGA Professional Championship and he couldn’t have been nicer. We all want athletes to speak their mind and let us in, and when they open up and say what’s on their mind they get ripped by social media. I don’t see the reason for the haters. My experience last have been nothing but 100% positive. Blockie is a star in my book.show more

When you think about everything we know about Pete, he’s just 24, yet he’s been emotionally exhausted for years. His gang is younger than him, meaning he can’t really share anything with them. His sister neglects him, and the way he talks about his relatives makes it obvious that his family life is filled with distance rather than care😔 It’s the first time Pete has ever talked about his past, not running from it but actually saying it out loud while someone quietly listens to him. Niran doesn’t interrupt Pete or try to comfort him. He looks composed the whole time, but I can feel his emotions through the silence, the sigh, the way he listens. He is simply lying there but it’s a safe space for Pete to unravel, which is why Pete later says that people feel at ease around Niran. It’s not cuz Niran is affectionate, it’s cuz he says things as they are and that helps Pete feel like he can be himself around him, even at his most broken moment. The scene before where he was furious with Pete, he’s not judging Pete’s life, he’s just giving him the hard truth. He doesn’t sugarcoat things, but he also doesn’t invalidate Pete’s pain. Instead, he’s trying to make Pete realize that his life has value, but he’s letting anger, recklessness and negative emotions get the best of him. And for someone like Pete, who spent most of his life feeling unwanted and unseen, this kind of brutal honesty is what he needs to turn over a new leaf🥹show more

This driver is trying to ma a left turn... and the car on the opposite side stops and makes a path for them to turn. As the car starts to turn, an electric bike in the bike lane comes speeding down and well, as you can see, smashes into the car and flips over the front. Luckily he gets up and is walking. He could have been seriously injured. To me, this is quite literally why they say you’re not supposed to just stop in the middle of a street to let someone turn. Some are saying it’s the red car’s fault for stopping and letting the driver turn. Others are saying in their state, an electric bike is like a motorcycle and has to obey the traffic laws. Who is at fault? Do you think the electric bike should have been in the bike lane traveling that fast? The red car for letting the car turn left when it can’t see, or is it the drivers responsibility to make sure all is clear before proceeding?show more

This couple sold their home and everything in it... in 2019 and moved to Georgia where the husband was relocated for work. They moved into their 5th wheel Keystone RV full time and have been doing it for six years now. They planned on doing this for their retirement but decided to do it earlier because of the relocation. Now they spend their time traveling the country and checking things off their bucket list. They spend their summers at their family farm. They miss their adult children but the children meet up with them and sometimes travel with them. Some say they are jealous and this is their dream too but others say you should never sell your house because houses are gold right now and what if you get tired of traveling or sick and RV’s depreciate significantly.
