Niall talking about the 1D group chats😭I’m so emotional😭❤️... Niall said that the boys are good at checking in on each other and seeing how everyone is doing. He said, “We’re good at like checking in on each other and see how everyone’s doing. ‘Cause we all like, that’s the only thing about what we do is, anyone could be anywhere at any time. Like, you get to LA and you’ll be like, “I’ve just arrived,” and they’ll say, “Well, I left last night.” Yeah, yeah. But like there, there’s a lot of, you know, shifts in the night stuff, so. But yeah, we... I definitely speak to them all, you know, every couple of weeks” The boys speak to each other every couple of weeks😭Niall just ended all the feud and beef narratives😭show more

Marketers. I’m begging you. Stop prompting Claude 12+ times... when it can be done in 1. Most marketers open Claude and start typing whatever comes to mind. Several rounds later, you’re editing mediocre output by hand. My team built a prompt auditing tool that reads your work, grades it, and gets you to 95% in minutes. It’s based on the RCTC framework, which answers the 4 questions Claude actually needs to be effective: Role - WHO is this for? Channel - WHERE is this going? Task - WHAT outcome is the output getting to? Constraints - WHAT bad output sounds like? Then automatically edits your work so you’re more effective in Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini. Comment “GA” and I’ll send you the tool.show more

The problem with civnats (a term I’ll stop using... in 2026 as it just means neoliberal) is that they act tough and say things like “deport all the criminals and terrorists” but the obvious flaw with that is we don’t know someone is going to becoming a criminal or terrorist until after the act has already been committed. So if you want to end things like stabbing sprees, terrorism, and machete gangs you have to identify the groups doing it (e.g. blacks and Muslims) and apply some level of ethnicity based deportations. Even if you didn’t want blanket remigration you won’t be able to eliminate the problem without making ethnicity and religion a major factor in deportations. I know Konstantin Kisin is smart enough to realise this which makes his motivations for not admitting it suspect but I do believe that Andrew Gold is just a dim toff getting by based on an accent and old boys network.show more

If you have a girlfriend who is into fashion,... or had one years ago, she probably had a Vinted account. Vinted was back in the day the most unhinged female-gaze-focused site on earth. It was 99% women talking about fashion and other stuff. I think today it is a little more professional. The site is basically like eBay for clothes. It was created by a girl who was annoyed by creepy private messages on eBay and wanted a safe space for females. Anyhow, Vinted was the anti-X. On X, it’s an all-men audience having a completely comical understanding of the female gaze, and on Vinted, you basically had young women thinking men are way more emotional than we are. People who form their opinions on women based on Reddit posts, Pornhub, and incels on X are just ridiculous copers. You can always tell by them being completely one-sided and sexualizing everything. A guy on X would be like, “Haha, doesn’t she know that men don’t care about fingernails? She is so dumb.” Bro, women do their fingernails like you wrap your car. It’s not meant to impress the other gender. It’s also ridiculous when incels threaten women with, “He will pump and dump you.” They don’t care. To them, it’s just an adventure. Sex gets increasingly more important to you the harder it is for you to get. Also women understand intersex dynamics way better. They get feedback from an early age. They get complimented, approached, harried based on what they wear. Incel men get no feedback at all until they have their first gf. That’s why their styling is always way off when they try to impress women.show more

Let’s be clear: size doesn’t matter, your approach and... the way you speak do. You can’t walk up to someone and say, “Look at this small boy” then turn around and claim people are projecting onto you. No, you’re projecting onto yourself. When you were assistant Head of House, your words were “We’re in power, they’re going to hear from me”. You were keen on housemates adhering to the rules you set! But when it’s time to show others respect, suddenly that energy disappears. Respect is reciprocal. If you can’t live with ‘small boys’, then maybe you should pack your bags and leave. Because in Big Mama’s house, everyone is equal, which means you too are a small boy. You created that perception yourself the moment you said, “Look at this small boy.”Because if you’re calling someone else small, then clearly you’re trying to make yourself the big boy, and if that’s based on body size or ego, then that’s your own insecurity speaking. So please, enough with the hypocrisy. Own your words, own your attitude, and stop acting shocked when people call it exactly what it is.show more

Honestly, I hate that I even have to say... this, but seeing people use one single fancam to claim Sana “can’t dance” is genuinely ridiculous. Y’all, for everyone dragging Sana because of one video from the 73rd THIS IS FOR tour show, I think it’s important to look at the full context before judging her dancing ability. First of all, Sana had been dealing with a cold, flu, and cough for over a month at that point, which can definitely affect stamina and performance consistency during a 2–3 hour concert. There are also several factors that can make the dancing look less smooth in that particular fancam: 1. Outfit If you’ve watched other fancams from this black outfit era, Sana was adjusting her outfit quite often on stage because it seemed to shift, slip, or sit unevenly at times. An uncomfortable outfit can naturally affect movement and make a performer more cautious. 2. Camera tracking The camera appears to follow her movements slightly late. Even a small delay can make smooth transitions look jerky or abrupt when viewed on video. 3. Awkward zoom distance The fancam isn’t zoomed out enough to show the full choreography, but it’s also not close enough to focus on facial expressions. Because of that, viewers end up focusing mostly on body transitions and posture, which can make movements look harsher than they actually are. 4. Phone camera limitations High-energy movements recorded on a phone can suffer from motion blur, stabilization issues, and frame-rate limitations. Sharp movements that look clean in person can appear choppy or less fluid on video. 5.Stamina This was already the 73rd show of the tour. Performing the same demanding choreography for dozens of concerts while dealing with illness can affect anyone’s energy level. And if this one clip is enough to convince you that Sana “can’t dance,” then I encourage you to watch other performances of Right Hand Girl from different angles and different outfits. Looking at a performer’s overall body of work will always give a more accurate picture than judging them from a single fancam. One fancam does not erase years of consistently solid performances.show more

Visiting Shenzhen China 🇨🇳 today and wow! There is... no way someone can stand here and not be inspired by how much China has changed in the past 3 decades 🤯 There is not another city on the planet that has transformed the way Shenzhen has, once a fishing village of 25,000 people, it’s now home to 18 million people and the hub of tech and innovation in China 🇨🇳 This is the DJI headquarters, that’s right, the company that has emerged as the number one drone company in the world is based in this building Over 8,000 employees spread across offices, R&D Centers and testing facilities. This is honestly one of the most impressive buildings I’ve ever seen The British Trade Minister just visited Shenzhen for the FIRST time in 40 years last week and just think, how many politicians around the world could understand where China is and where it is going if they simply came and saw the truth with their own eyes. To borrow a phrase from my friend and China insider Shaun Rein the next China is China! 🚀show more

When a spacecraft leaves Earth, it doesn’t just fire... its engines and head straight to its destination. In many missions, especially those going beyond low Earth orbit, there’s a more subtle and elegant strategy at play, one that uses gravity itself as part of the navigation system. This is often called a gravity assist, or a slingshot maneuver. But in the case of missions like #Artemis II, what’s being used is a closely related idea known as a free-return trajectory. At first glance, it might sound simple: the spacecraft goes to the Moon, loops around it, and comes back. But the physics behind it is anything but simple. Instead of relying on continuous propulsion, the spacecraft follows a carefully calculated path through the gravitational field of the Earth–Moon system. It is launched with just the right speed and direction so that, as it approaches the Moon, the Moon’s gravity bends its trajectory. The spacecraft is effectively flung around the Moon, redirected onto a path that naturally brings it back toward Earth. No major engine burn is needed for the return. Small trajectory corrections may still be required, but gravity does the heavy lifting. That’s the key. This kind of trajectory is not just efficient, it’s also safe. If something goes wrong with the spacecraft’s engines or onboard systems, gravity itself ensures the return. It’s an inherent backup plan, built into the trajectory from the very beginning. The same fundamental idea appears in gravity assists used across the Solar System. When a spacecraft flies past a planet, it can gain or lose speed by exchanging momentum with that planet. From the spacecraft’s point of view, it’s as if it has been accelerated without using fuel. In reality, it has borrowed a tiny amount of orbital energy from the planet itself. That’s how missions like Voyager reached the outer planets, and how probes continue to explore regions far beyond what their onboard fuel alone would allow. But there’s an important distinction. An interplanetary gravity assist is typically used to change speed and direction, often increasing the spacecraft’s energy. A free-return trajectory, like the one used in Artemis II, is designed for something more specific: a path that naturally loops back to Earth without requiring additional propulsion. It’s less about gaining energy, and more about shaping a trajectory that guarantees a return. To understand why this works, it helps to stop thinking in straight lines. In space, motion follows curves defined by gravity. The spacecraft is constantly falling, first toward Earth, then toward the Moon, and then back toward Earth again. What looks like a loop is really a continuous free fall through a changing gravitational landscape. This way of navigating space reveals something deeper. We tend to think of engines as the drivers of motion, but once a spacecraft is on its way, gravity does most of the work. The art of spaceflight is not just about thrust. It’s about knowing when not to use it. #GoodLuck #Artemis NASA Artemisshow more

Are you safer with LIDAR, or are you safer... with vision? This is a false dichotomy. The more pertinent question today is "do you have something, or do you have nothing?" As you can see from the clips below, vision based systems avoid countless potential collisions every day. The difference between a crash and no crash isn't what sensor suite you chose — it's whether you have any AI on your car at all. Even if we concede that LIDAR may help prevent some additional crashes, we are really debating whether it is 1% of crashes or 0.00001% of crashes. Not all crashes are super complex and require lasers to detect. Most are simple, routine, and can easily be prevented by today's vision based AI. In fact, evidence is mounting that computer vision based systems can actually outperform more traditional approaches to self-driving. Why? Because the low cost of cameras enables you to create a much larger, more varied, and more diverse dataset. If you want to have expensive custom cars that's fine, but you're going to get fewer vehicles for the same budget. Seeing what's in front of you now is actually less important than predicting what's going to happen next — and the large scale datasets used to train pure vision systems are the best for predicting what's next. Counter-intuitively, the simpler and lower cost sensor actually has properties that make it better suited for training advanced AI. Computer vision based self-driving is often framed by LIDAR proponents as "cheaping out" on the sensor suite to save money. But it's not about being cheap, it's about bringing the technology to everyone. 1.2 million people die on the road every year around the world. That's around 39 million people who've died on the roads around the world since I was born — equivalent to a city the size of Tokyo or New Delhi getting wiped off the map. The status quo is simply unacceptable, and something has to be done to fix it as soon as possible. Of the 1.2 million people that will die on the roads this year, about 40,000 will be Americans. That's about 3%. So if we moved entirely to self-driving cars in America and brought crashes down to 0, 97% of the world's crash fatalities would still be taking place as usual. Deploying a $200,000+ retrofitted self-driving car may work in a few American cities, but it is not going to make sense in most places around the world where fares are much cheaper. Most often, the choice is not between LIDAR and vision. It's between vision or nothing. The best system is the system that's there running on my car when I need it to save my life. To say that all self-driving cars must have LIDAR is to sentence most of the world to death. We can't write off computer vision if we want to make a serious dent in this problem. It's going to be a key piece of the solution. Let LIDAR based players build the best self-driving car they can, and let vision based players do the same. We need to be trying everythingshow more

Honestly, I never expected Jake to get an intro... or solo part during their performances because I’d been disappointed so many times before 😅 But in the past few award shows, he’s finally been given those opportunities ++ He used to be placed on the side or at the back, and now he’s even the center during dance breaks. It really makes me emotional. Jungwon once said that Jake was praised for how much his dancing has improved, and I can truly feel that.
