Two years ago, Wang Xingxing launched the Unitree H1... humanoid robot. Instead of a mere prototype demonstration, he made the robot immediately available for purchase. At the time, the decision seemed audacious. Why would anyone buy a full-sized humanoid at that stage? As it turned out, the H1 and subsequent Unitree models became the preferred platforms for researchers worldwide. This bold strategy advanced China's position in the global robotics race, while the affordability of high-performance hardware has accelerated progress across the field by enabling broader experimentation in embodied AI.show more

The Pentagon has already requested more funding for the... war in Iran than the US has spent on Ukraine. To continue the war in Iran and urgently replenish depleted weapons reserves, the Department of Defense has requested more than $200 billion from Congress, reports The Washington Post. That's more than the US has spent in over four years supporting Ukraine—$188 billion. However, sources told the newspaper that members of Congress are unlikely to grant the Pentagon this funding. Master strategist Trump will have planned all of this meticulously.show more

Agility Robotics and Boston Dynamics to Unitree: “Go back... to China!” Leading US robotics companies have expressed support for the restrictions. Agility CEO Peggy Johnson issued a statement endorsing the GUARD Act, saying it “sends an important market signal as US robotics companies continue investing in resilient supply chains, domestic manufacturing capabilities, and trusted technologies.” In a recent interview with futurist Peter Diamandis, she said the Oregon-based robotics firm has been working with the Trump Administration. “We have an administration that’s very focused on the humanoid robots not going the way drones did,” she said. “We used to actually have a drone industry in the US and it’s largely gone offshore. They’re trying to prevent that same thing from happening to humanoids.” Earlier this year, Boston Dynamics sent its VP of software, Matthew Malcano, to Washington to testify before Congress about its biggest overseas rival. “Unitree is rapidly capturing market share in the US university, research, and law enforcement markets,” he said. “Researchers have reported crucial Unitree cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Unitree’s robots have also been seen in PLA military exercises and its ties to Chinese military have been noted by the House Select Committee on China as well as the Department of War.” Back in 2021, Unitree joined Boston Dynamics, Agility, ANYbotics and others in signing a pledge to not weaponize its autonomous machines. The company insists that its robots, including its new $650,000 rideable Mecha, are for civilian use only.show more

🚨 BREAKING: Walden Robotics has just come out of... stealth with $300 million in funding and a $1.1 billion valuation. Another unicorn in the robotics space. 🦄 Just 6 months after incubation. The company was spun out of Toyota's robotics research lab by co-founder Russ Tedrake, a former Toyota Research Institute executive and MIT professor who taught a course on robotic legs. The seed round was co-led by Deviation Capital and Toyota, with participation from: NVIDIA, Boeing, Samsung Ventures, CoreWeave Ventures and AE Ventures. The robot is already working. A pilot is live at a North American Toyota factory where a Walden humanoid is pulling eight-hour shifts alongside human workers, loading and unloading car parts, cleaning machinery, kitting for assembly. A shift. Every day. Walden builds its own hardware, software and AI models, designed to continuously learn and improve in real production environments. Tedrake's words on the opportunity are worth noting: "Everyone recognises the magnitude of the opportunity and the technology feels ready, but success is not assured. You have to think through the business case, the unit economics, and how to marry the best of manufacturing and logistics with disruptive AI technology." Rare honesty in a space full of hype. The race to own that market is accelerating every single week. 🤖 Great story by Bloomberg here: ~~ ♻️ Join the weekly robotics newsletter, and never miss any news →show more

Xiaomi Humanoid Robot New Factory Training Since Q1, Xiaomi’s... humanoid robots have been training on dual-side operations at the self-tapping screw workstation in its auto factory, achieving a 98% success rate. Today, Xiaomi shared that the CyberOne Gen2 autonomously performed two repetitive tasks in the final assembly logistics area: sorting center console side panels and folding material boxes --both reaching 90% success rates. They deployed both bipedal and wheeled models, working together with material transport robots as part of the broader intelligent automation system. I noticed the wheeled CyberOne was clearly more efficient and stable on the panel sorting task. In the first video, you can also see some noticeable jitter when the bipedal robot stops moving (though this should be relatively easy to fix). Xiaomi also candidly pointed out a current limitation in dexterity: when folding the second side of the material box, the robot still needs to adjust its orientation first to face the buckle, whereas skilled workers can pull the ring directly by feel without any micro-adjustments. Real-world scenarios are indeed the best benchmark.show more

‼️🇩🇪 BREAKING | The German government has approved the... draft for a 2027 "super-militaristic" state budget. Under this plan, the core defense budget is set at €105.8 billion. This will be supplemented by €27.5 billion mobilized into a special defense fund—a result of abolishing the "debt brake" mechanism—plus €11 billion allocated for direct defense budgetary assistance to Ukraine. Additionally, €58.2 billion has been earmarked for indirect defense spending focused on the modernization of logistics and infrastructure (ports, airfields, highways, and bridges). Consequently, it is fair to say that in 2027, Germany will spend over €200 billion on defense and defense-related matters. Crucially, this is not a one-time surge. Defense spending is projected to leap forward annually, bolstered by the removal of the debt brake and the potential to mobilize €500 billion in loans for the defense sector. This will significantly increase the net defense budget, which could potentially reach €300–350 billion per year within the next 3 to 5 years. Video is made Grok AIshow more

The world just paid $2 trillion for a rocket... company that lost $4.9 billion last year. And the rockets are not why it lost the money. They are the only part making any. SpaceX went public Friday, the largest IPO in history. Up 19%, a $2 trillion valuation, Elon Musk the first trillionaire. Then you open the filing. Three businesses sit inside it. Starlink, the satellites, brought in $11.4 billion, 61% of all revenue, and $4.4 billion in profit. It is the only piece that earns a dollar. The rockets that land themselves run a small loss reinvesting in Starship. And the AI arm, Grok plus the app once called Twitter, folded in this February, lost $6.4 billion in a single year on $12.7 billion of spending. Read that again. The satellites pay for everything. The AI loses more than the satellites make. And the AI is the part the market fell in love with. It gets bolder. The prospectus claims a total market of $28.5 trillion, the largest any company has ever put in a filing. Larger than the GDP of the United States. That is the number underwriting a $2 trillion price tag built on a division bleeding $6 billion a year. Now the structure. About 4% of the company trades. That sliver sets the price for all of it. Musk is locked up for 366 days and holds roughly 80% of the votes. The public bought a company they cannot steer, priced on the one segment losing the most. This is the whole year in one ticker. The profit is satellites. The story is AI. The market bought the story. The rockets were never the risk. The risk is a $2 trillion price resting on the one bet that has yet to make a cent.show more

🇳🇵| #Nepal | The devastation in #Rasuwa is not... an act of nature. It is the visible wound of a nation that has been carved up and sold by its own political class to foreign corporations and global financial institutions. Nepal's sovereignty has been under quiet, systematic attack for decades, and the landslide is the result. The government of Nepal did not merely fail to protect its people. It actively enabled their destruction through policies that prioritised foreign investment, "development" loans, and infrastructure projects over the lives of those in the mountains. The same pattern we have exposed across India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan is operating here. The globalist machine needs Nepal's rivers, its hydropower, its strategic location between China and India, and its people as a cheap, disposable labour force. What has happened in Rasuwa is part of this same plan. The hydropower rush in the Himalayan rivers has destabilised the slopes. Roads are carved through unstable geology without proper engineering, funded by development banks that demand Nepal remain a debtor nation. Forests are stripped. The people are told to accept "progress." Then the rains come, engineered or not, and the mountain comes down. The state calls it a natural disaster. The media says "pray for Nepal." And the same companies that pushed the projects arrive later for the "reconstruction." Nepal's tragedy is that its people have been taught to see themselves as victims of geography. They are victims of governance. The same globalist networks that are flooding Assam, burning Europe, shaking Turkey and Japan, and bulldozing Palestine are now tightening their grip on the Himalayas. Nepal is a key piece on that board. Its government has signed the agreements. The land has been mapped, zoned, and mortgaged. The people are in the way. I will not pretend that a single, tidy "plan" explains every layer of corruption in Nepal. But I will say this clearly: the flood and landslide did not have to be fatal. The deaths are the result of decades of deliberate neglect, of state capture by local and foreign oligarchs, and of an economic model that treats the mountains and their people as resources to be extracted rather than lives to be protected. The people of Nepal deserve more than prayers. They deserve the truth. That truth is that their government has failed them, and the same invisible system that is devastating the rest of the world is now using their rivers, their mountains, and their grief as fuel. The prayer posts will fade. The system will remain. Unless the people of Nepal, and of every targeted nation, choose to stop accepting the lie that the land is their enemy. The land is not the enemy. The land has been betrayed. The monsoon is the trigger. The real weapon was wielded long before the rain came.show more

UNUSUAL China begins building the “New Three Gorges” China... has announced the launch of a major new project — the construction of the “Three Gorges” waterway on the Yangtze River, which will include the largest navigation gate in the world. The project, costing 77.2 billion yuan (£11.4 billion), includes a new navigation channel at the Three Gorges Dam — the largest engineering project in the world — as well as an expansion of the dam’s capacity at Gezhouba downstream on the Yangtze. It is designed for vessels of up to 10,000 tons. This is the first major national project to be launched under China’s 14th Five‑Year Plan (2026–2030), and it comes after ten years of research and planning studies. It is being built due to the rising volume of transport along the Yangtze River — China’s main inland shipping artery. Once completed, the annual capacity of the “Three Gorges” will double, exceeding 336 million tonsshow more
