🚨What If Earth's Oldest Civilization Never Left the Ocean?... What if the intelligence behind some UFO didn't actually arrive here from another star system at all? What if it has been here for longer than us, not hiding in the sky, waiting behind the Moon, or crossing the galaxy in the way that we imagine, but living beneath the oceans inside the one part of Earth we still barely understand? For decades, we have been looking up. The cultural image of UFOs is always the same thing with lights in the sky, craft descending through the atmosphere, visitors arriving from space. Even the word extraterrestrial pushes our attention away from Earth. It tells us the mystery must have to come from somewhere else. But what if that assumption is totally wrong? What if the most important part of the phenomenon is not its relationship to space, but its relationship to the oceans? Earth isn't a land planet it's an ocean planet with islands of land breaking the surface. Human civilization developed on those islands, built cities there, drew borders there, fought wars there, launched rockets from there, and then convinced itself it understood the world. But most of this planet is still beyond our direct reach. The deep ocean is dark, pressurized, vast, hostile to our bodies, difficult to map, difficult to monitor, and almost impossible to police in any sort of meaningful way. If there was another intelligence operating here and it wanted to avoid open contact with us, the ocean would be the obvious place to be. But maybe hiding is the wrong word because a civilization that evolved in the ocean would just live there. When we imagine an advanced underwater intelligence as aliens using the sea as a base, as if they arrived from somewhere else and chose the ocean as cover, that could be way off. It could be one possibility, but the stranger theory is that they never arrived at all. They may have emerged here, in Earth's oceans, long before we ever existed. Life on this planet is ancient. For most of Earth's history, land wasn't even the center of the biological story. The oceans held the chemistry, the minerals, the heat, the pressure, the vents, the darkness and the protection. Hydrothermal vent ecosystems already prove that life doesn't even need sunlight in the simple way that we once thought it did. Entire ecosystems can be built around chemical energy rising from the seafloor. That should have changed how we (SETI) think about life, but humans still keep defaulting to our own surface bias. We imagine intelligence as something that crawls onto land, discovers fire, makes tools, builds cities and eventually launches machines into the sky. That is our path but it's not necessarily the only path. An intelligence that evolved in the deep ocean would have faced a completely different set of conditions. It wouldn't begin with fire, because fire is obviously useless underwater. It wouldn't develop metallurgy in the same way that we did, because open flame and smelting are surface technologies. It wouldn't need wheels, roads, walls or conventional buildings as we do. It would evolve inside pressure, darkness, currents, sound, vibration, magnetism, chemistry and geothermal energy. Its entire technological history would be alien to us even if it was native to Earth. So when people dismiss the idea of an ancient underwater civilization by asking where the factories are, where the ruins are, or where the tools are we have to question whether their technology would leave the same signatures ours does. Would they even build like we build? Industrialization may look totally different. A deep ocean intelligence might not construct dead machinery in the way we do. It might grow structures and use biological engineering before mechanical engineering. It might use mineral matrices, pressure systems, acoustic fields, electrochemical processes or living materials. It might not separate biology and technology at all. To us, that would look less like a civilization and more like an environment. A sufficiently old oceanic intelligence may not have cities that resemble human cities. Its infrastructure may be embedded into geology, vents, trenches, caverns, mineral deposits or biological networks. Its power systems may use geothermal gradients, tidal forces, pressure differences, ocean chemistry or field effects we don't yet even understand. Its communications may not use radio in the way we expect. Sound travels really well underwater. Electrical and magnetic sensitivity exists throughout marine life. A technological species born in that world might build an entire science around signals we barely even treat as communication. This would also explain why the UFO subject keeps revolving around water. The ocean appears again and again in the background of the mystery. USOs, transmedium objects, craft entering or leaving the sea, naval encounters, disturbances under the surface, objects tracked over water, and sightings near coastlines and military maritime zones all point toward the same possibility, that maybe water isn't incidental to the phenomenon, maybe it is central. If some UFO are connected to an ocean based intelligence, then what we see in the sky could only be the visible edge of something way bigger. The craft are not arriving from elsewhere in every case. They may be surfacing from their native domain into ours for short periods of time, crossing that boundary between ocean and air the way we cross from land into water with submarines and diving equipment. The only difference is that they appear to do it way better than we do. Human technology is divided by environment, aircraft are built for air, submarines are built for water while rockets are built for space. Each domain creates different engineering problems, so we build separate machines for each one. But UAP don't appear to play by the same rules. That is what makes the transmedium reports so important. If an object can move through water, air and possibly even space without changing its basic behavior, then it might not even be flying or swimming in the conventional sense. It could actually be controlling the interaction between itself and the medium around it. That kind of technology would make sense for a civilization born in the ocean because water is dense. It resists movement, crushes weak structures. It creates drag, turbulence and cavitation. If an intelligence developed vehicles in that environment, it would eventually need to master boundary control, so it would need to reduce friction, manage pressure, avoid destructive wake effects and move through dense fluid without wasting enormous amounts of energy. If that same technology was later used in air, it might appear to us as silent propulsion, impossible acceleration, no sonic boom, no heat plume and no obvious aerodynamic logic. So what looks impossible to us may simply be the result of a technological path that did not begin with wings and rockets. The old black budget explanation doesn't fully solve this problem either. Yes, some triangle craft, drones and experimental platforms may be human and it would be naive to deny that, but human secret technology still has to come from somewhere. If certain platforms show silent hovering, field effects, plasma signatures, extreme acceleration and transmedium behavior, then we are either dealing with a hidden human science far beyond public understanding, or we are dealing with something that we are trying to imitate. That is where the old 'alien reproduction vehicle' idea and the cryptoterrestrial theory start to overlap. Maybe some of what people call black budget technology isn't purely invented, it's most likely adapted from encounters with something already operating here. Going back to what Grusch said earlier, the implications are massive. If there are underwater bases, facilities, habitats or recurring operational zones known to governments, then this isn't just a question of disclosure. There's a sovereignty issue, who controls the oceans? Who has access to the deep sea? Who monitors undersea cables, nuclear submarines, offshore infrastructure, shipping lanes and military testing ranges? If an unknown intelligence can operate in those spaces without permission, then every major navy on Earth has a problem it cannot publicly admit. Scary thought and that may be one reason the subject is buried so deeply (no pun intended). Some people think that secrecy exists because governments don't want to admit aliens are real, but that may only be part of it. The bigger issue here could be that governments don't want to admit they aren't in full control of the planet. There is a huge difference between saying, 'We have evidence of unknown craft,' and saying, 'There may be advanced non human infrastructure in the oceans and we cannot remove it.' That would also explain the change up from UFO to UAP and from extraterrestrial to non human intelligence. Non human is pretty broad lets be honest. It doesn't tell us where they come from, it leaves room for extraterrestrial, interdimensional, post biological, artificial, ultraterrestrial, cryptoterrestrial or native Earth intelligence. That could well be deliberate. Perhaps the people closest to the classified material know the answer isn't as simple as aliens from another planet as Grusch implied in the clip. An ancient oceanic intelligence would also force science to confront its own blind spots. We know intelligent life evolved on Earth at least once because we are here. But we have no law of nature saying it could only happen once, only on land, only recently, or only through primates. Evolution isn't a ladder with humans at the top. It's a branching process with countless experiments, most of which vanished or left traces we don't fully understand. If an intelligent lineage emerged in the ocean and then moved into environments where fossilization, geological preservation and surface archaeology are poor, we probably wouldn't even recognize the evidence even if fragments existed. Ocean crust is constantly recycled through plate tectonics. Seafloor environments are really destructive. Structures can be buried, subducted, corroded, overgrown or mistaken for natural formations. If a civilization was millions or even hundreds of millions of years old, the survival of obvious surface style evidence would be highly unlikely. Even human civilization, after a few million years, would leave less behind than we like to imagine. Plastics, isotopic anomalies, altered sediment layers and some industrial traces might possibly survive, but buildings, machines and cultural artifacts would mostly vanish. So now imagine a civilization that even never built like us in the first place. This doesn't prove anything obviously, but it makes the dismissal less easy. Then there is the question of why such an intelligence would stay hidden. If it is older and more advanced, why not reveal itself? The answer could be as simple as open contact with humans may not benefit it. We are violent, territorial, extractive and unstable. We turn discoveries into weapons as quick as we can. We militarize frontiers, poison ecosystems, test nuclear devices. We drag the deep sea with cables, sonar, submarines, mining ambitions and military hardware. From the perspective of an older oceanic intelligence, humans probably don't look like peers. Instead we look like the dangerous surface species entering an adolescent technological phase that we are. That could explain the strange pattern of UFO interest in nuclear sites, military installations and weapons systems. If an intelligence lives here, our nuclear age is all of a sudden not just our problem. It is a planetary problem. Nuclear weapons, nuclear submarines, nuclear waste, missile systems and military escalation would all be highly relevant to any non human civilization sharing Earth with us. The same would be true of deep sea mining, ocean pollution, climate change, undersea military networks and artificial intelligence. We may think these are all just human issues, but a hidden Earth based intelligence would see them as threats to a shared planetary system. This gives the UAP phenomenon a very different emotional tone. It's not necessarily invasion or salvation. It may be monitoring, containment or quiet intervention when we cross certain lines. When depositing sEGLD or swTAO • When users deposit staking derivatives into the Isolated Pools, the protocol holds the staking derivatives, but the user's exposure is immediately shifted to the underlying asset ( $EGLD or $wTAO). This means the user no longer benefits from the staking rewards of the derivative, and instead, their exposure is entirely tied to the value and price movements of the underlying asset. • The staked assets are deposited into the Hatom Lending Protocol, earning the supply APY, but again not being activated as collateral. Since the protocol generates revenue from staking and supplying assets in the Lending Protocol, this income is used to incentivize the USH Staking Module. The protocol buys HTM tokens from the open market and distributes them, along with all fees generated by other facilitators, as rewards to stakers. We believe that the Isolated Pools Facilitator is one of the most important pieces of the USH ecosystem. Its potential impact on the TVL within both the Hatom ecosystem and the broader #MultiversX blockchain is immense and the revenue generated by this facilitator through fees will significantly bolster the overall growth of the protocol. To illustrate the potential of Isolated Pools, let’s use the following example: • $50 million worth of $EGLD is deposited into the Isolated Pools, generating a 6% staking APY • $50 million worth of $wTAO is also deposited, earning a 15% staking APY The total staking rewards generated from these assets would be: • $EGLD staking rewards: $50 million × 6% = $3 million annually • $wTAO staking rewards: $50 million × 15% = $7.5 million annually In total, the protocol generates $10.5 million in staking rewards annually. However, to prioritize safety, we’ll mint only 50% of the maximum, resulting in $37.5 million worth of $USH. In an ideal scenario, but also very unlikely, the $37.5 million $USH would be deposited in the Staking Module to generate rewards. In order for $USH to be deposited in the Staking Module, it is paired with another token (e.g., $USDC or $EGLD) to form Liquidity Pool (LP) position, contributing $75 million to the USH Staking Module. Additionally, the $100 million deposited in the Isolated Pools cycles through Liquid Staking and into the Lending Protocol, contributing a total of $300 million in TVL. Total TVL Breakdown: • $300 million from assets flowing through Isolated Pools ($100m) → Liquid Staking ($100m) → Lending Protocol ($100m) • $75 million from LP positions in the USH Staking Module Total TVL = $375 million As mentioned above, the $100 million deposited in Isolated Pools generates approximately $10.5 million annually in staking rewards (6% APY from $sEGLD and 15% APY from $swTAO). If all minted $USH is deposited into the Staking Module, the $75 million staked would benefit from these rewards, resulting in a 14% APY for USH LP stakers. Hard Peg Mechanism (Redemption Mode) In cases where the Soft Peg alone cannot restore USH to $1 and its price drops significantly below the peg, the Hard Peg Mechanism is triggered through Redemption Mode. This mechanism allows any market participant to step in and help restore the peg by repaying USH loans for other borrowers, seizing their collateral at the full $1 value. It's important to note that Redemption Mode is only activated in the Isolated Pools and does not impact users minting USH through the Lending Protocol. A key advantage of staking in the USH Staking Module is that rewards are based on the full value of the LP, not just the USH portion, maximizing your yield potential. As we continue to grow, we’ll be adding more LPs, providing users with even greater flexibility and options for staking their USH in the module. While our current focus is on LP tokens, we’re also exploring the possibility of allowing direct USH staking in the future, expanding the staking opportunities across the ecosystem. Beyond this threshold, any additional HTM staked will increase their APY in a competitive manner, allowing users to maximize their returns based on the amount of HTM they commit to boosting their positions. Rollout Plan for USH USH will be deployed in a phased rollout to ensure smooth implementation: Public Devnet: Open for testing, with incentives for participants to explore and stress-test the platform. Private Mainnet: A limited launch with partners to mint USH, bootstrap USH liquidity and generate initial protocol revenue. Unpopular opinion about El Salvador. A TON of workers... here are lazy as hell and i do hope this message reaches many Salvadoreños in the United States. You leave the job site, little will get done and yes tools and materials will disappear. I said it. If you’re going to build a home, start a business, or just hire a few helping hands for that side project, get ready to fire fast. Put in systems of checks and balances, hire solid management, use cameras, and lock up materials. If you have the time or money you or someone you really trust must manage the project on SITE. I’ve hired thousands of people throughout the last few 6 years while personally living in 9 Latin countries and El Salvador has been one of the hardest to work in. El Salvador also happens to be my favorite country at the moment with my favorite people. It’s beautiful, small, has a Chuck E cheese for my daughter but most important, it’s safe for my family. So why is it so damn hard to work with people here? I think it’s because of the civil war. This is going to sound crazy coming from a president of a non profit but free money destroys people. It enables them. It ruins their will to work ultimately creating a lazy and slothful person Over 2.5 million people from El Salvador live in the United States. MANY of them send money every 2 weeks to their aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews to “help” them. This has turned into dependency. It has created a cycle of entitlement rather than self-sufficiency. “Why would I work for 10 hours in the sun when I can tell my aunt that I need money for medicine?” There are kids here with no desire to self educate, no desire to work, because they’re sucking the tit of their families in the United States or Canada. 2 of my hardest workers who show up early, never miss a day are these two men in this video. No arms, and an elderly who just wants to work. Their speed compared to a young healthy man is slow in comparison but their will and desire to work is unwavering. They’re inspiring. They are happy at work. They don’t complain. They’re not rich working for me but they are ok. I believe they are hard workers because they were never a part of a welfare system given to them from family in the states. I also believe that the civil war has created a massive divide between the wealthy and the poor. Maybe this already existed but chatting with enough people you can put 2 and 2 together. The socioeconomic divides between the wealthy and the poor. Certain families growing incredibly rich over the suffering of the lower class. People have lost trust, they’ve lost hope. Their views on money and rich people are shaped by past experiences of being taken advantage of. People are sick and tired of making $75 per pay period in the farms of El Salvador. I know that’s a whole other discussion. How do we fix this? I don’t know but I know my mission with casa conejo is to inspire others to work their asses off and to get paid by the sweat of their brows. I want to create a micro economy that allows the poor of the poor to grow! To break the cycle of poverty. To shatter the idea of “we can’t make it in El Salvador” We can and we will by working our asses off and getting paid what we deserve. This is the second of two posts I’m making... about the teaching of Andy Stanley because I have a burden to warn people to be like the Bereans "examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so." (Acts 17:11). I have attached a short video clip where Stanley says we don’t know Jesus rose from the dead because the bible tells us so. He says it’s the other way around. Now how do we know Jesus bodily rose from the dead? Did any of us see it happen? No, it happened 2000 years ago. But haven’t people researched the resurrection and found all sorts of evidence consistent with Him rising from the dead. Yes, but such evidence, though powerful, and we can certainly use in our witnessing, does not ultimately prove He rose from the dead. In fact, no matter what evidence we point to in geology, biology, astronomy etc., none of this proves in an ultimate sense the bible is true. Now it is certainly true such evidence properly interpreted does confirm the bible’s history. For instance, the molecule of heredity DNA is a complex information system and language system. No one has seen matter produce information or a language from matter by natural processes. Our observations and experience show information and language have to come from an intelligence. Such evidence confirms an intelligence behind life. This certainly confirms the first verse of the bible, “In the beginning God created… .” But nonetheless, it’s not absolute proof. Think about it. We are finite beings living in the present. We don’t know everything. We don’t know how much we don’t know or do know in relation to whatever there is to know! When we try to interpret evidence of the present in relation to the past, how do we know we have all the relevant information to make the correct interpretation. Some information we don’t have could totally change our interpretation. That has certainly happened with scientists solving crimes using circumstantial evidence. When new evidence comes along, some of the interpretations change and certain people thought to be guilty were found they were innocent after-all. We need to have all the information needed. But we can’t know everything. However we have a book that claims over three thousand times to be the Word of God. This book claims that God moved people by His spirit to write His Word, what He wants revealed to us about life, the universe and history. This book, the bible, tells us that God knows everything, He is infinite in knowledge and wisdom. He has all information. “In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3). If God’s Word is what it claims to be (and it is), then the infinite Creator God has revealed to us the key information we need to know to have the ability to correctly interpret this world in relation to the past, present and its purpose and meaning. “Therefore, we never stop thanking God that when you received his message from us, you didn’t think of our words as mere human ideas. You accepted what we said as the very word of God—which, of course, it is. And this word continues to work in you who believe” (1 Thessalonians 2:13). This means if we build our thinking on God’s Word, we build a Christian worldview to enable us to look at the world through “biblical glasses” and have the ability to correctly interpret and understand it. And Genesis 1-11 is the history that is foundational to the rest of the bible and thus our worldview. So, when we start with God’s Word we learn that the God revealed to us in the bible is the One Who created all things. Now by just looking at the world, for instance at DNA, we might deduce that there’s an intelligence behind life. But we would not know who that intelligence is unless revealed to us. The bible reveals who that intelligence is, God the father, Son, and Holy Spirit. But, if we just looked at the world with all its death, suffering and disease, we could assume that the intelligence behind life must be an ogre to make such a violent disease ridden suffering world. But when we start from God’s Word, we understand there was no death or disease to start with, but these entered the world because of sin. We also find man has a problem called sin which alienated him from God. We even find in Genesis that God promised someone would come to save us from our sin and restore our relationship with God (Genesis 3:15; 3:21). We learn later on that “someone” is Jesus--the one who became flesh for us, the babe in a manger 2000 years ago. It's important to understand we can’t know anything absolutely unless an absolute authority has revealed to us what we need to know. Now Andy Stanley claims we don’t know Jesus rose from the dead because the bible tells us so, but claims it’s the other way round, that because Jesus rose from the dead, we can believe what is says about this in the bible. In reality, Andy Stanley is actually claiming he knows all information about the resurrection to know it’s true so then he can proclaim what the bible says about the resurrection is true. This is not so. And remember from the previous post, Andy Stanley accepts man’s view of evolution and millions of years as true to declare what Genesis records about creation is not all true. So why shouldn't people take the word of others who claim Jesus didn't rise from the dead to then declare the account of the resurrection in the gospels can't be true. Stanley, as a finite fallen human being with very limited knowledge, starts outside the bible to go to the bible to make pronouncements over God’s written Word. No wonder he rejects a literal Genesis. Sadly, this is the case for the majority of our church leaders and Christian academics, particularly when it comes to Genesis. Think about it. Really Stanley is acting in accord with our sin nature because of what happened in Genesis 3. Part of our sin nature concerns us wanting to be our own god. Consider Genesis 3:1 and Genesis 3:5, the temptation by the devil. Satan tempted Adam and Eve to question God’s Word, and be want to be like God to decide good and evil, truth, etc., for themselves. In actuality, the statements Andy Stanley is making about Christianity and God’s Word are reflecting this sin problem we have. He is letting his sin nature master over him in this instance instead of letting God’s Word tell us clearly what we should believe. And I would say that about all Christians who reinterpret parts of the bible (like Genesis) because of beliefs from outside the bible. Now the whole bible is actually about Jesus, from the very first verse, that Jesus is the Creator (Colossians 1:16 “For by him all things were created,”), & and he is the Savior (Revelation 5:9), to the very last verse, “He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen” (Revelation 22:20–21) God reveals all we need to know about Jesus in His Word. We know Jesus rose from the dead because the bible tells us so! We know we are sinners because the bible tells us so. We know we can be saved through faith in Christ because the bible tells us so. We know we need to repent of sin because the bible tells us so. As Christians we know we will spend eternity in Heaven because the bible tells us so. “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of God” (Romans 10:17). I still remember singing the chorus as a child Jesus loves me this I know, for the bible tells me so. Yes, the bible tells me so – that’s how know who Jesus is, that He is the Creator, that he died and rose from the dead, and that He is our Savior.show more

🚨🚨CHARLIE KIRK CRIME SCENE PART 2 Candace Owens ELIZABETH... LANE The Dan Merrell Interview: Yesterday, as many of you saw, I posted after interviewing several people involved in the crime scene cleanup. I learned the cleanup was treated as a biohazard, which explained why the University handled it the way they did. I shared receipts and questioned whether Dan Merrell had even been there. I was quickly corrected by Sup Citizen who provided proof that Dan was indeed on site. Dan is the contractor whose interview sparked many conspiracy theories about who ordered the cleanup and how quickly it was done. This led to a lot of speculation about the speed of the work. Today I had an extensive interview with him. I found Dan to be honest, sincere, and clearly devastated by Charlie Kirk’s murder. Before getting into the details, here’s some context: During our conversation, Dan said a few things that I realized could cause him problems. I interrupted and asked, “Dan, we are on the record here — would you like me to keep that off the record?” He immediately said yes, and I respected that. Those comments may have materially changed the tone of this interview even more. For those who doubt my integrity, I have had private conversations with Buckley Carlson and others. I’ve even received recordings I could have posted, but I deleted them when asked. I don’t burn sources. In the interview, I asked Dan point blank: Did the FBI or the Governor call you or contact you in any way? He replied: “No.” Do you have direct knowledge that the FBI or Governor called anyone involved at the scene? He again said: "No." Dan then told me: “My words are being twisted so badly. The shit I’m enduring — my wife and I — this is insane.” He expressed deep regret for getting involved and especially for an emotional video he made right after the assassination. “You’ve probably seen it. I wish I hadn’t. It was such an emotional time.” (I have never seen the video) He described the constant harassment he and his family have faced. When I asked about the person who claimed the FBI and Governor ordered the rushed cleanup, Dan said, “I think he was really trying to make himself look like a big shot. He was a strange guy… a few things he did, I don’t know why.” (I would later come to the same conclusion after more interviews) Dan confirmed he was only a small part of the cleanup. The job was minor — he wasn’t even sure how much they billed. When I told him I had the invoice (roughly $6k), he verified it was accurate. He was contacted on September 14 — four days after the assassination — via text from a University employee. None of the messages mentioned the FBI or Governor. (Dan read me the text messages aloud) I asked if the FBI took any soil as evidence. He said no. An uncle of one of the crew members hauled the biohazard soil to an approved disposal site. (Dan did not witness this personally he described a 550? as hauling away the soil, again, he could not state as fact) When I asked if FBI or investigators were present while he worked, he said, “I’m not sure. There were some guys up there — security — but I don’t know for sure.” Dan is very aware his name is now tied to the “exploding mic” theory and other conspiracies. He feels his words have been distorted and manipulated. He asked me directly if he came across as misleading in the Jimmy Rex podcast. I told him no — he never stated as fact that the Governor or FBI ordered a rushed cleanup. I proceeded to tell him that people seem to draw their own conclusions. We proceeded to talk about how his words were being portrayed with certain podcasters. On Candace Owens, Dan said: “Candace has a way of… putting out a theory, then changing… you know…” (He agreed when I said she avoids painting herself into a corner.) During our discussion, Dan advised that Most people in his area believe Tyler Robinson did it. Dan’s personal view: “I don’t think a .30-06 did that damage. I just don’t think it’s possible.” We had a detailed discussion about the wound and the exact area where Charlie fell. Dan confirmed Charlie was under a pop-up tent on the grass — not on a raised platform. The paving work was done just outside the main blood-soaked area. (some people thought Charlie was on stage/platform and therefore the blood-soaked scene was exaggerated) He expressed amazement that someone could get into that shooting position without being noticed. We agreed on this point. We both agreed that this shot was straight-on, and a genuine point of concern. (How was he NOT spotted?) We mulled the possibilities. (I would get an answer later) I asked Dan if anyone had reached out to him, any of the current investigators, podcasters, journalists to ask him anything since he has come back into the focus of the investigation again. He replied, "All of these idiots saying things, you are the FIRST person to actually call me to verify any of this." At this point, I expressed shock, surely someone would have reached out to him, I repeated my question, he said adamantly "no, nobody has reached out, you are the first and only, I regret the entire thing." "We were coming together as a community for Charlie; this has been hard." This interview made one thing clear to me: Charlie was killed on September 10. The FBI had the scene for approximately three full days and eight hours before releasing it. The University was closed through at least that Sunday. (Although it appears some people did get access) Dan strikes me as an honest, hard-working man. Nothing about his answers felt rehearsed. He should not be harassed, accused, or made fun of. I’ve attached a clip of the ground crew cleaning the area. I cannot make out the words in the video, but this video seems is claimed to have been taken while the University was closed. It is not the greatest quality, but it seems genuine. I will continue releasing more interviews with witnesses, UVU police, and additional crew members. Today was long and productive. But the important thing to take away--I would learn in an interview later, that the FBI/Governor making any calls is based on a single source, who when pressed, would not show any evidence. My UVU Campus Police interview was abruptly cut short. I will detail this soon. My fear is that it will feed into the conspiracy theorists more, but I have to report what I am told accurately. No matter where this goes, I’m here for it. I appreciate respectful discourse even from those who disagree. When I make opinion posts, they are pretty clear. I would not wish ill health or death on... anyone, including my enemies, unless I was genuinely in mortal fear for my own life. But let's be straight about this. Politicians can post their deepest sympathies, families can insist they were “good boys”, and social media can produce all the usual excuses. None of that means the rest of us have to rewrite reality. Driving a car at high speed the wrong way down a motorway, knowing innocent people could be coming towards you at 120 km/h, isn't normal driving and it isn't some innocent mistake. It is an extraordinarily reckless decision that could have killed an entirely innocent family. Does that mean I think they deserved to die? No. Do I take pleasure in their deaths? No. But I'm also not going to pretend that people repeatedly involved in serious criminality are “little angels” simply because they're dead. If the newspaper reports about their previous activities and encounters with Gardaí are accurate, they were far from angels. They were thugs whose behaviour should have resulted in meaningful intervention long before things reached this point. And yes, I'll use another unfashionable expression: Live by the sword, die by the sword. Not because I'm celebrating anybody's death, but because repeatedly choosing extreme risk, violence and criminality eventually has consequences. Tragically, sometimes those consequences are irreversible. Maybe I'm getting old. Maybe I'm becoming intolerant. But when I was growing up, there were consequences for our actions. Thankfully my parents never hit me, but discipline existed. We got the rod in school I can still remember it drying beside the paraffin heater and the strap was used in secondary school, although I missed most of that. I'm not suggesting we start beating children again. But where exactly did we go from discipline and personal responsibility to being terrified of telling children NO? When did participation become more important than achievement? When did allowing children to run around shops and restaurants like little maniacs become enlightened parenting? When I was young, if you behaved like that, your parents dealt with you. You quickly learned that other people existed and that your behaviour affected them. Manners and respect are free commodities. When I hear children telling their own parents to “f*** off”, I wonder what they're going to be like as adults. If that's the respect they have for the people who brought them into the world, fed them, clothed them and cared for them, what respect are they going to have for a teacher, Garda, employer or complete stranger? Then we wonder why workplaces increasingly need chill-out spaces and “mental health days” because ordinary pressures become too much. In my day we respected our bosses, did the job we were employed to do and were happy to have a job. Yes, society has changed, and some of those changes were unquestionably for the better. But removing consequences wasn't one of them. And I'm going to use another expression that will undoubtedly upset people: Feral scumbags. Because when young people are repeatedly stealing cars, carrying knives or machetes, attacking people and terrorising neighbourhoods, I'm considerably more interested in protecting their victims than finding another fashionable euphemism for their behaviour. And yes, perhaps we need to discuss bringing back industrial schools. Before somebody deliberately misunderstands that sentence, I don't mean resurrecting the religious institutions, brutality or abuse associated with parts of that system. I mean the basic principle of removing persistent young offenders from the streets and putting them into secure residential institutions with discipline, education, vocational training and consequences. If you're 16 or 17 and repeatedly terrorising a community, perhaps knowing that you're facing several years in a secure institution followed by the adult criminal justice system if you continue offending after 18 might make you think twice. Because whatever we're doing now clearly isn't frightening some of these young offenders. Young lads can apparently parade knives and machetes on social media as though they're fashion accessories. Communities are terrorised. People accumulate conviction after conviction. And I have seen an example of the attitude I'm talking about with my own eyes. I had reason to attend court in Loughrea, Co. Galway, around this time last year. There were three young offenders in the dock, one of them flanked by two prison officers. I was sitting in the public gallery immediately behind the legal teams. When this individual spotted me, he apparently decided that making disparaging remarks about me would be great entertainment. He laughed. He jeered. It was all great craic. What struck me particularly was how relaxed the whole thing appeared. He was joking with the prison officers beside him and, from where I was sitting, they appeared to be laughing along with some of it. The judge lost patience with him on two occasions. It didn't appear to bother him in the slightest. I obviously cannot know what was going through his head, but the impression he gave me was that he believed he was untouchable. What stayed with me wasn't the insults themselves. I've heard considerably worse. It was the complete lack of respect for the court, the judge and everyone around him. When the court adjourned for lunch, I couldn't resist a little dig of my own: “Where are we going for lunch? I really fancy a steak. I wonder what the prisoners get?” That wiped away some of the laughter. His response was to start shouting abuse at me, including calling me a “f*ing f**t”. Charming. I walked away thinking that if somebody can stand in a courtroom, in front of a judge, flanked by prison officers, and still behave as though the entire proceedings are a joke, what exactly is supposed to deter him when he's back outside? I doubt that scene was unique to one courtroom in Galway. And everybody waits for the inevitable tragedy. Then, when it finally happens, politicians express shock and sympathy and everyone asks how this could possibly have happened. Perhaps we should start asking that question before somebody dies. Call me old-fashioned. Call me intolerant. Call me whatever you like. I believe in manners. I believe in respect. I believe in personal responsibility. I believe in rehabilitation. And I believe in consequences. Because allowing feral scumbags to terrorise communities without meaningful consequences isn't compassion.
