Colbie Young seems to make at least one... catch for 20+ yards in every practice. “That’s what he does best,” said WR coach Troy Walters. “Big body, strong, he can run, great hands, and I think the quarterbacks have gained trust in terms of just giving him a chance. Travis Hunter is currently going VIRAL for videos surfacing... of him stumbling on routes and catching with his body. Several fans are reportedly concerned that Hunter’s receiving abilities are not as “refined” as they previously thought. “Generational they said… and yet he seems as average as any receiver that has come & gone...he don't even look on the same lvl as BTJ.” “He purposely being bad so they finally put him with the DBs.” Despite the concerns of fans, Hunter is reportedly already “exceeding” expectations of his coaches and is preparing to play both WR/CB full-time. You wanna know why Cooper Kupp is the best... receiver in football when he’s healthy? Because he literally does it all. There is not one receiver who does as much as Cooper. Most are dominate at 1 or 2 things. Cooper Kupp literally does everything at a dominating level. This man has great hands, he can route run with the best of them, he can use his underrated speed, he has the best IQ for a receiver, the best work ethic, and on top of that he’s one of the best blocking receivers in football. There’s not any other receiver in football that can match Cooper Kupp when you combine all of that together. His krpytonite has been injuries, but when he’s healthy. This batter hits a hard shallow liner into right... field. The right fielder is charging and fires to first. The ball is overthrown and the runner looks but decides to stay at first. The catcher backed up the overthrown ball and throws to first and he rages the runner. The umpire calls him out and says he made an attempt to go to second base. I think he looked but I don’t see an attempt. He stayed in fouls territory the whole time. Just because his head looked doesn’t mean he made an attempt. 50/50 people saying he’s out for an attempt and others say no attempt, he should be safe. What’s your call? Safe or out? After two strenuous days, the third practice was more of a walk-through as a precaution. “We’ve lost a lot of guys on the third day over the last couple of years and that’s every team,” said Zac Taylor. “Sometimes you can do everything you can possibly think of on that third day to limit it and you’re still going to have issues.”show more

I'm not sure Mareca is going to deploy him... regularly as a holding midfielder going forward (though he's done fairly well in an unfamiliar role and bossed it, I still would've preferred someone natural like Nico G. We could've killed the game early). That said, Guehi has a brilliant footballing brain in possession. He knows his passing options well, scans effectively both before and after receiving the ball, and associates seamlessly with players around him in any zone you place him (whether at the back or in midfield, as Maresca opted to do today). He could've bagged a couple more than the one goal he scored, (as a CB too cause he’s got a knack for them). I'm still unsure whether he'll be utilised there going forward, or if this was a one-time experiment, especially with Bouaddi also arriving. But overall, a good performance from Guehi.show more

I played two matches for my interclub league this... week (first competitive rounds in over a year!) and I have an observation/inquiry for Golf Twitter Mostly out of pure laziness but also for pace purposes, I’ve eliminated practice swings from my pre-shot routine in recent years during casual rounds (channeling my inner Ludvig if you will). Do I keep things consistent and just step up to the ball and hit it when I’m playing a round that actually counts? Or do I develop a competitive pre shot routine vs. a casual golf routine? I kept going back and forth between the two all day and it was a constant internal dilemma that probably hurt my performance. If anyone can relate and has any thoughts, plz let me know.show more
