I built a plugin to generate 3D assets directly... from Codex, using the latest update that introduces image generation. It generates an image, calls the Tripo3D API, then starts an MCP server and a local viewer directly inside Codex. It uses the paid Tripo3D API (12 free generations, 600 credits included). Codex update 0.105.0 is out! Despite the fairly pedestrian... changelog, this one's a doosie. It's a laundry list of quality of life improvements across the board. - Wispr Voice dictation (hold space to talk) - Theme picker - Codex can prevent sleep on Linux & Windows (I just know there's a joke in there) - Customize Plan Mode reasoning - Many other fixes/updates There's also a complete overhaul to subagents: - New names for readability - Visual display overhaul (way cleaner) - Allow for multi-layered subagent depth (max_depth) - Custom multi-agent role definitions (custom subagents) - /agents now shows both agent names, agent roles, and "dead agents" for auditibility This is the largest single update of Codex I've ever seen! This is huge if you’re building plugins on top of Claude Code’s marketplace layer (Skills, Agents, Hooks, etc). How it works: - Run /plugin - The official Claude marketplace is installed by default - Use the search bar to find the plugin you want - Select one or multiple plugins with space, then press i to install - Go to the Installed tab to browse and enable them With the exponential growth of Skills and Agent-based components running in the CLI, improving plugin discoverability is a big win.
