This is William. Navy. Afghanistan. Four deployments between 2008... and 2016. PTSD nightmares every single night for eight years. Violent. Thrashing so hard he's broken two ribs and fractured his wrist punching walls. His wife Emma moved to a different bedroom four years ago because William's thrashing was dangerous. But when we're training for real speed, real power, or real strength? The session should be a lot more standing around than working. Because the prescribed work is to go at 100% - and that takes recovery time. So rest when the training rx demands it.show more

I see soooo many artificial “internet” swings like this... with people working on moves that are soooo contrived and not natural. This is often based on the coaches misinterpretation of an “ideal” swing 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ Not seeing many players doing these moves but see lots of online warriors trying it! Much of the misinformation is based on watching high speed, highly athletic, idiosyncratic outlier moves that most people simply can’t do. In the 1800s, Scottish surgeon Robert Liston became infamous... for a surgery that led to an astonishing 300% mortality rate, losing his patient to infection, accidentally amputating his assistant's fingers, who also died of infection, and slashing a spectator who died from heart attack. While amputating another patient's leg, he broke his personal record by finishing the surgery in two and a half minutes. However, in the interest of speed, he chopped off the patient's testicles along with his leg. He also once mistook a lump in a young boy's neck for a skin tag and removed it suddenly at the boys home. The lump turned out to be an aneurysm of his carotid artery, and the boy died. Keep in mind that in those times there was no anesthesia and that speed and cleanliness were the only skills. Known as "the fastest knife on West End," Robert Liston was particularly skilled at quick amputations. On Saturday evening a CAT Deputy who also happens... be a Motor Deputy stopped this moped with no plates driving through the snow. The driver works in West Omaha and lives in near Carter Lake. Deputies warned him of the dangers driving his moped on snow packed roads and he agreed but added the moped is his only mode of transportation to work. The driver was given a warning for no proof of ownership and sent on his way home. We all want to make it to work and provide for our families, and it’s hard not to feel for someone who has no other way to get there. While it's not illegal, a two wheeled vehicle on snow-packed roads is very dangerous.show more

Can I just respectfully say how happy I am... that this completely blew up in the media’s face. Wilber Rafael Garces Perez evaded an ICE agent on... a long, high-speed pursuit, forced the agent to pin his vehicle to get him to stop, and then continued to drive off before being shot. His lawyer claims he was in the country legally and had a work permit. A work permit is an Employment Authorization Document. USCIS policy is clear that approving Form I-765 does not grant an alien immigration status. It only authorizes work. ICE says he had a final order of removal. Given that Garces Perez fled and was willing to go to great lengths to avoid being detained from a vehicle he obviously knew was ICE, he most assuredly was in the country illegally. More information confirming this will be released shortly. I’m sure of it. When it is proven he was in the country illegally, DoorDash should be charged for hiring illegal aliens. While many around the league don’t expect any linebackers... to be drafted tonight, if there is one, it certainly could be #TexasAM’s Edgerrin Cooper. Cooper is the most complete LB in the 2024 draft class. He’s shown to be: 1️⃣an elite athlete 2️⃣a consistent and impactful run defender 3️⃣a capable and efficient blitzer, and 4️⃣able to use his size and bend to disrupt in pass protection As a run defender, he finished with an 87.6 PFF grade, highest among any expected draft linebackers in this year’s draft class. That includes 15 TFLs or no gain plays. As you can see (🎥), his downhill force plus balance and control allows him to consistently win in the run game As a pass rusher, he had 7 sacks on the year, 4 of which came from playing on the line of scrimmage. When lined up on the line of scrimmage, he generated a pressure on over 30% of his pass rush snaps. Elite ‼️ And in coverage, he finished with a top-10 coverage grade int eh country last season (per PFF College) among LBs lined up in the box. He’s able to use his length and bend, along with developed vision and timing to disrupt plays from the box. Couple all of that with a 4.51 forty time and would-be impressive athletic testing numbers if he was 100% for the draft process (why he wasn’t able to officially go every day in practice at This Account Has Moved), and it’s hard to ignore his NFL starting potential.
