For those who aren't familiar with the story of Brenda Liliana Rivera-Estrada, a highway cam video shows the rolled over SUV on I 17 in Phoenix where she forced her 9 year old daughter to share a seatbelt with a sibling. Alexa Cortez Rivera was ejected and killed in the crash. On April 12 2026 Brenda Liliana Rivera Estrada 30 a Mexican national who overstayed her visa since entering through Nogales Arizona in 2009 was driving northbound with four children in the car. She was speeding and witnesses reported reckless passing. When the mother lost control the SUV flipped. Alexa was ejected and died at the scene. The other three children were injured but survived. Officers noted the strong odor of marijuana. Rivera Estrada faced manslaughter and child abuse charges locally but county prosecutors declined to file them. She was released only for ICE to take her into custody on an immigration detainer. She is now in federal detention pending removal proceedings.

THE REAL STORY In Oak Park, Michigan, a Border Patrol agent was preparing to take custody of two Ecuadorian nationals at the request of local police. According to CBP, the male suspect punched the agent and fled on foot. The female also assaulted the agent, who then used a Taser to subdue her before placing her in a patrol vehicle. A large search involving additional Border Patrol units, local officers, a K9 tracking team, and an Air and Marine Operations helicopter was unable to locate the male suspect. The woman has a prior criminal record that includes larceny and possession of stolen property charges, along with an existing final order of removal from an immigration judge.

Brick New Jersey is mourning the loss of a bright 15-year-old honors student who was struck and killed by a speeding BMW driver while riding his bike to school. The juvenile behind the wheel chose to flee the scene instead of stopping to help. On the morning of May 19 at approximately 6:50 a.m. Jackson Daniel Mueller was biking along Lanes Mill Road near Rhode Island Avenue when a 2021 BMW traveling at high speed hit him. The driver never stopped never rendered aid and never called police leaving this promising young life taken in an instant. Brick police and Ocean County prosecutors quickly identified the juvenile operator through video evidence provided by the public. The driver has now been taken into custody and is being held at the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center facing serious charges for the hit and run that ended Jackson's life. Jackson was a freshman at Brick Memorial High School an honors student who dreamed of becoming an engineer. He served as an officer in the National Junior Honor Society held the treasurer position on student council at Veterans Memorial Middle School ran track for the high school team and had earned a black belt in karate. In his free time, he loved playing flag football. He was exactly the kind of young American we should all be proud to raise and protect.
