Five people were injured after a shooting this evening... in Northeast DC, making this DC’s first mass shooting less than 72 hours into the New Year. DC Police were called out just before 8:20pm to the 1500 block of Harry Thomas Way NE in Eckington DC. On scene, a female and two men were found injured… they are all last reported to be conscious. Police are determining if one of the people were shot or injured by glass from the gunfire. Additionally, two men showed up at a hospital with gunshot wounds. Car Rolls Onto Roof After Crashing Into Trees in... San Fernando Valley A driver walked away after a rollover crash left his vehicle on its roof in the San Fernando Valley early Wednesday morning. The accident occurred around 3 a.m. in the 5300 block of Kester Avenue in Sherman Oaks, where a black Honda sedan collided with several cypress trees. Video from the scene showed first responders arriving to find the car upside down, with the driver standing nearby despite visible injuries. Los Angeles police and firefighters treated the male driver at the scene. He was bloodied but did not require hospital transport and was later released. 🚨 More details emerging from the devastating storm damage... in Lynndyl, Utah. The National Weather Service has received reports of widespread wind and hail damage across the area, including trees snapped and uprooted, power lines down, homes damaged and railroad cars overturned. At this point, there are no directly measured wind speeds from the storm, so we don’t yet know exactly how strong the winds were. However, the damage pattern is providing some important clues. Videos and photos show numerous trees knocked down in the same direction, which is consistent with strong, straight-line winds. There is currently no obvious convergent damage signature suggesting a tornado in the areas documented so far. That said, the investigation isn’t over. The National Weather Service has a survey team heading to Lynndyl to assess the damage firsthand. They’ll be looking closely at the damage pattern, vegetation, structures and other evidence to determine how intense the winds were and whether anything more significant occurred. So for now, the big question remains: Just how strong were the winds in Lynndyl? We should have a much better answer after the survey is completed, weather permitting. Storm seriously damages stadium in Toronto where AC/DC are... scheduled to perform The new Rogers Stadium in Toronto was hit by a powerful storm. The arena’s stands, designed to accommodate 50,000 spectators, suffered serious damage. AC/DC are scheduled to perform here on September 16. It is not yet known whether the concert will be canceled.
