Google just wired DeepMind and Earth Engine directly into... the biggest geospatial dataset on the planet. For two decades, millions of people used Google Earth to scale the Himalayas or zoom in on their childhood neighbourhoods. In 2026, Google is basically trying to shift the entire platform toward professional execution. They turned a massive digital twin of the world into an agentic AI engine for global infrastructure. The technical foundation is (obviously) all about data. Google integrated 20-metre and 40-metre elevation contours globally. Engineers and urban planners now have instant access to the exact topographic context required for site planning anywhere on Earth. The data catalogue updates continuously to maintain the freshest imagery possible. Collaboration used to kill geospatial projects. Teams would lose momentum through stale materials or bad handoffs. Google fixed this by building frictionless data import systems. You can now drop KML, KMZ, and GeoJSON files directly onto the global map. Entire departments can align on a single source of truth, moving from a raw question to a definitive answer instantly. The biggest upgrade is the introduction of agentic geospatial intelligence. Users can open 'Ask Google Earth' and search massive satellite and Street View databases using natural language. You type a command, and the AI handles the manual data wrangling. It identifies new site locations and analyses infrastructure before you even open a spreadsheet.show more

Starlink just launched its first European satellite-to-phone service. Today.... Virgin Media O2 switched on O2 Satellite on February 26. It is the first commercial satellite-to-smartphone data service in the UK and in all of Europe. Powered by Starlink Direct to Cell. What it does: If you're an O2 customer with a Samsung Galaxy S25, your phone automatically connects to Starlink satellites when you move beyond traditional cell coverage. No special hardware. No satellite phone. Your regular smartphone connects directly to space. O2's UK landmass coverage jumped overnight from 89% to 95%. That's new connectivity across an area roughly two-thirds the size of Wales, according to Virgin Media O2. At launch, the service supports text messaging and a limited set of apps including WhatsApp, Google Maps, Facebook Messenger, and X. Standard voice calls are not yet supported. Speeds are estimated around 4Mbps. More devices and apps are expected to follow. 650+ Starlink satellites now support Direct to Cell. SpaceX has signed 11 carrier partnerships to date, with similar services already live in the U.S. through T-Mobile. £3 per month. That's what O2 is charging to keep you connected in places where there was zero signal yesterday. Starlink is becoming the invisible backup layer for phone networks worldwideshow more

OpenAI's Deep Research is getting a run for its... money. Deep Lake was just released, and it's a different take on an AI system that can do deep research on your own data. You can use Deep Lake to build AI search with reasoning on your private and public data. (Look at the attached videos to get an idea of how it works.) If you want to research proprietary and sensitive data, Deep Research won't help you because it's limited to public data. Deep Lake, however, will allow you to use your private data. On top of that, Deep Lake supports multi-modal retrieval from the ground up. It uses vision language models for data ingestion and retrieval so that you can connect any data (PDFs, images, videos, structured data, etc.) You can even use mixed-data queries! Deep Lake can search your data from S3, Dropbox, and GCP. It learns from your queries over time, making the results as relevant to your work as possible!show more

One trick we discovered for avoiding realistic face moderation... issues in Seedance 2.0 is using character turnaround sheets (front / side / back views). The first video is one of our experiment results — and it runs successfully. We’ve now integrated character turnarounds directly into our workflow + canvas system: 1. If your artwork was generated on our site, you can drag the image into the canvas directly from the Assets tab 2. Click the “Character Turnaround” button above the image to automatically generate a 3-view turnaround sheet 3. Create a new video node and use the turnaround sheet directly with Seedance 2.0 inside the workflow I’ve shared the workflow link in the comments if you want to explore the exact prompts, setup, and workflow details.show more

What if your video pipeline worked like your codebase?... Introducing Replit Animation. Replit ⠕ #replitanimation From a single prompt, you can generate animated videos directly in Replit. It writes TypeScript with modern libraries to build scenes, apply styling, and export straight to mp4. Because it is built on code, you can import your real components, brand tokens, and design systems. That means consistent styling, reusable assets, and total control. Video as code means you can tweak, version, and scale your videos just like software. Create repeatable workflows for product updates, feature drops, and marketing campaigns without starting from scratch every time. Here is an example of a video I generated inside Replit. Export at your chosen resolution and frame rate or host with a unique URL. Activate video mode by typing video in your first prompt or selecting Animation under App mode. Want to reduce a LOT of the censorship in... Seedance 2.0? I’m going to show you a simple method that almost nobody is using — and it can completely change the results of your videos. Tutorial: First, ask ChatGPT to translate your entire prompt into the Tibetan language. Since it is a less common language in China, this can sometimes help bypass some of the censorship limitations. After that, use the translated prompt inside Seedance 2.0 to generate the video. This is exactly how the video shown above was created. To generate the videos, use Yapper . The recommendation is to create multiple videos at the same time — for example, generate 8 videos at once — to increase the chances of getting an even better result.show more

🚨 THE RACE TO 6G JUST ACCELERATED. Northrop Grumman... has developed a W-band GaN chip operating at up to 110 GHz and took it from concept to market-ready hardware in less than six months. The new gallium nitride chip operates in the W-band (75–110 GHz), a frequency range that delivers massive bandwidth, extremely high data rates, and much lower latency than current systems. What makes this impressive is the speed: the chip went from concept to market-ready hardware in less than six months through a U.S. government-backed microelectronics program. That’s unusually fast for advanced defense-grade semiconductors. The chip acts as a high-power signal amplifier that can strengthen wireless links while shrinking the size and power consumption of the hardware. It’s designed for military radar, secure satellite communications, and the coming wave of 6G networks. Why this matters: • W-band offers far more spectrum than current 5G bands, enabling much faster data transmission and higher-resolution sensing • Gallium nitride can handle significantly higher power and frequencies than silicon, making it ideal for these demanding applications • The rapid development cycle shows how public-private collaboration can accelerate critical semiconductor technologies • The same tech that strengthens military radar and satellite links will directly feed into future commercial 6G infrastructure The deeper implication: We’re watching the foundation of next-generation wireless and sensing systems being laid in real time. High-frequency GaN chips like this won’t just improve existing radar and satellite systems they’re likely to become core building blocks for 6G, autonomous systems, and advanced defense platforms. The fact that this moved from lab to market in under six months suggests the pace of high-frequency electronics is accelerating dramatically. The future of wireless isn’t just faster. It’s operating at frequencies most people have never heard of and it’s being built right now. How soon do you think W-band and GaN technology will start appearing in everyday 6G devices? Follow for more frontier semiconductors, defense tech, and next-generation wireless systems.show more

claude fable 5 now watches every city for new... pool permits. the law makes every one of those owners buy a fence. so it mails them their finished backyard before the pool is even filled. this demo is real: the satellite still shows their old ring pool, the permit already replaces it with an in-ground build and claude caught it days after filing. here's the system you can sell to contractors: - monitors the city's pool permits in real time (free public data) - pulls the satellite photo of every permitted address - vision-checks the yard, rejects the bad leads - renders that backyard 3 ways: fence, rebuilt yard, night swim - prints the law on a postcard: "your pool can't pass inspection without a 48in barrier" - mails it to the owner with a QR per trade fence company, landscaper, lighting contractor, three retainers from one system and new permits drop every week. reply "POOL" + RT and i'll send you a free guide so you can build this too (must be following so i can DM you)show more
