I wanted to showcase some of the sprite work... i did for my Lost lands set. Made some new stuff and reworked a LOT of old stuff 😎 i definitely underestimated the amount of work. I've got a situation and I'm asking for help... from experts in firearms and ballistics. Two shots were fired - nearly a minute apart - while I was working on my car. Each shot had two distinct audible components - a crack and a bang with only a tiny fraction of time between them. I didn't hear Penny call my name at the... finish line. And tjo shem she tried. I think I know why I didn't hear her shout my name.....My goal was an 11:15 - 11:20 finish. We started in batches of 3 and I was in the 3rd wave. Out of habit, I switched my Garmin off twice at a water point and forgot to switch it back on for a while. My timing was off and I had no idea what time it was. I wasn't worried as I knew I was comfortably ahead of cut-off. At 72 kms, I heard a fellow runner tell another that "We have 2 and a half hours left to finish. We will come in at 11:10." Silly me didn't realize that these were group 2 runners and they had started earlier. Which meant I had even more time to finish and I'd caught up with many Group 2 runners. I had judged myself according to their progress. As I came closer to the finish line I saw the Group 3 clock say 10:58:22. I was stunned, mentally frozen so I switched off and chased my bronze medal with 1 minute 7 seconds to spare. A 10:58:53 finish was satisfying.show more

Is Static Drilling the Kata of Jiu Jitsu? I... have never done Kata, so I do not have a strong opinion on its value. It does look boring to me, though. Static drilling has some value, but not as much as live drills using the Constraints-Led Approach (CLA). If someone shows me a new move or solution, I will statically drill it 2 or 3 times. Then I will try to incorporate it in some live training. Static drilling makes up less than 1% of my training now. CLA will build your grappling skills faster and is a lot more fun.show more

My 15 year old and I are on the... way to Waco to run a 31 mile ultra we haven’t trained for. My car is driving me so I can load up on carbs. My son’s longest run is 8 miles and my last run was 4 miles, 7 months ago. If it were a 31 mile hike with some running mixed in no one would look twice. That’s basically what this is tbh. Ultras aren’t about running fast. They’re about running as slowly as you can bear for as long as you can. It’s frog in boiling water pain. Very gradual. What’s the bigger risk: an injury, or going 80 years without ever realizing your potential? You can literally just do things. (This is the best running song in the world btw. Usually I’m ahead of the curve when critically assessing... a person, I even get push back from some of my most ardent followers. Although pushback doesn’t stop my pursuit of truth. In the end, most if not all, come around and see what I saw albeit a little late. Personally I don’t know 💯 percent why a person is no good. Rawalpindi development authority officials accompanied by about eighty police officials,trespassed into my joint family property and demolished my home which was built some ten years ego.
