UNUSUAL China begins building the “New Three Gorges” China... has announced the launch of a major new project — the construction of the “Three Gorges” waterway on the Yangtze River, which will include the largest navigation gate in the world. The project, costing 77.2 billion yuan (£11.4 billion), includes a new navigation channel at the Three Gorges Dam — the largest engineering project in the world — as well as an expansion of the dam’s capacity at Gezhouba downstream on the Yangtze. In a... short lived 6 years I have been punched in the face for defending a colleague (Kat Cammack) I’ve been called a RINO for supporting (Kevin McCarthy) I’ve been called a domestic terrorist for being an unapologetically day 1 Donald J. Trump supporter… I’ve lived ups and downs and I’ve faced the largest political media storm ever seen for a member of Congress, (excuse me Matt Gaetz )… I’ve made new friends and discovered that old “friends” were fake (Nancy Mace) I proudly hold the record of the most conservative voting member of Congress from New York in modern history 96% according to my freedom score… the ROCK STAR known as Claudia Tenney is a solid second😁❤️ I made history being the first OPENLY gay man elected to Congress from the GOP… (not that I was the only one there) 🫣 I met new people and learned a lot about the unique diversity of my community and how to best represent their needs to the best of my ability. Most importantly I did a lot of growing up in the public eye for the whole country to see…things have not been easy or smooth but, I thank God each day for the experiences I’ve had so that I can grow to be a better person each day forward. My next stage will be in communications and I’m proud to tell you all that despite everything, my spirit remains young and fun! Some of my storyboards from the opening of The... Wild Robot. I liked the idea of the first shot in the film (after the pull-out from her eye) being Roz in a fetal position for "The Robot Hatches." But the idea got lost as it went through the production pipeline. I ended up using some stock photography and videos for some of the water in this scene. I think because the environment was such a character for us in these opening scenes. The photography seemed to help me to sell the contrast between Roz and the wilderness.show more

It’s weird to think that, for the last 3 years, I’ve built my life around this weird little project called Dr. Clown. Literally spending my days creating, building this character, building this community, and trying to make you laugh. When I first started on 𝕏, it was before monetization, on another account. Then I realized I could use my humor to make people laugh at a much bigger scale, and everything changed for me. I found a new passion in life. 166,700 fruit fly neurons are flying a drone around... my bedroom. 1 camera watches my open hand and that's the whole input. The panel in the middle is the brain running live 166,700 neurons, 25 million connections, the full reconstructed map of a fruit fly's head. Camera reads the hand, the brain fires, the output becomes throttle. Open palm and it climbs, fist and it holds, drop the hand and it comes down. 4 propellers the size of a coin hanging off a nervous system that belonged to an insect. The honest part this is a computational model, not a resurrected fly, the wiring is biological, the drone is mine, I built the bridge between them. I never wrote flight logic, no PID tuning, no gesture presets, I gave the neurons somewhere to send the signal and they found the ceiling. 11 seconds in, it holds altitude on its own. This is probably the closest I've gotten to going... from ""rough idea"" → ""actual product"" without touching a traditional design workflow. Turns out GPT-6 Astra + Dreamina Seedance 2.5 is an actual pipeline. I made the initial product draft in Dreamina, then gave it to GPT-6 Astra. Astra took the visual direction, generated the realistic product, and turned the result into a clean product detail page. Dreamina being cost-efficient makes the first stage even better - I can test multiple product concepts before committing to one.
