Wrong-side... driving is a common occurance in our city ... attached a few videos taken today at 6pm Xavier’s School intersection, GCER 2. large number of two-wheelers are also using the pavement/footpath to bypass the long signal, putting : a)pedestrians at risk and b)causing further damage and breakage to the pavers, which are already in a state of disrepair. This issue has been brought to the authorities notice several times. 3. Incidentally, a police checkpost/booth is barely 50–100 metres from this intersection, where traffic violations are regularly monitored. While signal jumping may occasionally be challaned, there appears to be little or no enforcement against wrong-side driving, wrong-side overtaking, and two-wheelers using the footpath to bypass the signal. 4.Please check the CCTV footage from this intersection around 6:00 PM and take appropriate action. This is not only a traffic violation but also a serious pedestrian safety concern and is contributing to damage of public infrastructure. 5. Please also instruct e-commerce and delivery platforms to ensure their riders are properly briefed and held accountable for following traffic rules, particularly regarding wrong-side driving, wrong-side overtaking and using pavements/footpaths to bypass signals. The menace of wrong side driving has surged rapidly... in recent years in #Dehradun and elsewhere. While this was earlier limited to neighbourhoods and outer areas, lax enforcement has emboldened errant drivers of two wheelers and cars to break all boundaries. Pune has a chronic behavioral problem of driving on... the wrong side of the road. I got time to edit the video to my daily route today. In this 3 min video you will see gig works, women, school vans, dumpsters, auto mafias, cyclists, bikers, almost every niche driving on the wrong side. No fear whatsoever. You will see me honking as well to grab their attention because car owners like me will be blamed first if something happens. And with ADAS level 2 it is more riskier because car can sudden brake anytime and the vehicle behind me will cause more damage. We need a revolution for this. Maybe they are driving on wrong side due to long u turns? or to save some fuel or to save time or out of habit or maybe because all of it but no one is there to keep a check on them. At this point, it’s the biker’s fault, not the... car owner’s. Why would anyone perform a wheelie on a busy public road, especially when the traffic signal is red? Dear Parvesh Sahib Singh Sir, I want to bring... your attention to a serious issue. This is the underpass near Dilshad Garden Metro Station, on the Delhi-UP border. The condition of the Anand Vihar → Seemapuri side is clearly visible in the video. The pavement has completely deteriorated, due to which traffic is also not moving smoothly. The other part of this side is comparatively better, but the pavement there has also started deteriorating. The Seemapuri → Anand Vihar side also has damaged pavement, although traffic is still able to pass through smoothly. Sir, I request you to please take this matter seriously and, if possible, visit the site to see the condition yourself. This underpass needs proper and complete repair rather than a temporary fix.
