A strong Pacific Jet will blast mild air across... the nation over the next week. Temps will once again jump to 30°+F above normal - a “blowtorch” pattern through next weekend. But we are in a very changeable/ transient pattern, with both a strong Pacific jet and also strong high-latitude blocking. The combo of these two players means, strong shifts - a week to week see-saw pattern. Not just changeable, but volatile, herky-jerky weather whiplash. In about 8-10 days cold should return to the Eastern US. The real question is: can it lock in? Or will the pattern stay transient? PLAX- PARASTERNAL long axis. One of my favs .... . . Here’s a great animation of the anatomy we can assess in the parasternal long axis view (PLAX). This is one of my favorite views (because it’s pretty easy to get) and can help you assess multiple structures in a pinch. . . To obtain this view put your probe on the 3rd-4th rib space with the probe marker facing the right shoulder. From there you can make a quick adjustment (turning the probe marker to the left shoulder) to get the parasternal short axis view (PSAX). Both of these views are great for assessment of wall thickness, the mitral valve, as well as for effusions (among many other things). . . . Even though I’m an interventional cardiologist echo remains one of my most favorite things about cardiology. It’s amazing to me that I can get all of these images myself with a probe and my phone. A China Airlines Airbus A350-941 aircraft -(B-18902, MSN 57)... received major damage to the passenger door after it rolled backwards while in contact with the Aerobridge at Melbourne Airport (MEL), Australia few hours ago. The aircraft was scheduled for a departure to Taipei (TPE) via flight CI58 on 14 April, which stands canceled as of now. At 9:52 a.m. Saturday, the FDNY received a report... of a fire at 132-17 41st Road in Queens. Upon arrival, units encountered two buildings fully involved in fire with extension to a third building. "Our engine companies moved in with multiple handlines in all of these buildings—very aggressively, very deliberately," Chief of Fire Operations Kevin Woods said. "Many lives are saved by the proper positioning of hoselines." With a report of people trapped, members from Rescue 4 got above the fire on the second floor of the main fire building and rescued an occupant. They made the rescue under high heat and in zero visibility without the protection of a hoseline. There was a total of 21 injuries—17 firefighters and two EMS members suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Two civilians were also injured and transported to area hospitals. More than 250 firefighters and EMS members responded to the 5-alarm fire, which was placed under control at 1:47 p.m. The cause remains under investigation.show more

UPDATE: my wife and I agreed last night, that... if Echo puked at all this morning, even once even a little bit, or if he refused to eat…. we would be taking him to the vet for a sonogram because our concern at that point would be a spleen or a pancreas or a blockage of some kind - but I am happy to report that Echo managed to eat a third full cup of chicken and rice assertively today and no puking yet. So that’s probably 3 cups in total, today with no pukes. We are in the process of rebuilding the stomach lining that was puked out mostly all over my driveway over the past day and a half. It really does feel like we’ve been able to get things stabilized now. THANKS AGAIN, for all the incoming love and support and prayers. I’m like 80% we’re on the mend now. Spent a fantastic two days at the Circuito de... Navarra in Spain. Mostly dry and a great technical circuit. I was driving a McLaren 720s GT3 Evo with Garage59. It was great to be back with a team that I have a strong history with. I was rusty to start, it’s been a few years out of a GT3 but very happy with where we ended up after two days of testing. I apologize, but I understand the question is: “If... you’re unvaccinated, how many times have you contracted COVID-19?” However, I want to report that we were 5 individuals who received the same 2 doses of the vaccine on the same date and location. We got the February 2021 P vaccine twice as a family of 5. The oldest died 3.75 months after the vaccine of “the sudden onset of dementia,” but never caught COVID, so I guess the vaccine stopped the COVID, but I believe it caused micro-clots that caused micro-strokes. This Doctors diagnosed as “sudden onset of dementia.” Three individuals who received the COVID-19 vaccine also caught COVID AND by 2025 developed strange artifacts in their blood that are not spike proteins. These artifacts were seen with a pathology microscope that Hematologist say is top notch. (*Videos of these artifacts are attached for reference.) One never caught COVID, but it seems like she still has spike proteins in her system or something very unusual, but not as severe as the other three.
