Let me talk about the improvements in One UI... 9.0 Beta 4. Here are the two changes I've noticed the most: 1. The Gallery animation has been fixed. The stutter when exiting the Gallery is gone. Returning from the Gallery is now smooth and fluid. 2. Gesture navigation feels more responsive. Samsung has improved the initial responsiveness of the back gesture. When swiping to return to the Home screen, the animation now feels noticeably smoother and more natural. I'm currently at Disneyland, waiting for the fireworks to begin. Offkai was amazing this year, but if I had... to highlight some if the best parts it would take away from the fact that I got to hang out with the realest people I know in this community, Mari Yume⚠️💤 and Mykora. While I may act annoyed at them for content, I couldn't ask for better VTubers to do dumb stuff with. Can you believe people sleep under such structures? As... a journalist, I don’t stay in the same place and I’m constantly on the move. Yesterday, I decided to go spend some time with my family in Jabalia where we had tuna and mayonnaise for dinner. I went to the bathroom and saw the ceiling covered in mosquitoes and the smell of sewage was overwhelming. The living room has a massive column broken in from the neighboring building. Somehow my family is adapting to all of this. Sharing a small bowl of tuna, surrounded by a horrible smell, walls covered in mosquitoes and somehow they still manage to crack jokes and bring me joy. But still, my feeling of helplessness broke me. I couldn’t bring more than some tuna, I can’t fix a sewage system that was completely obliterated, I can’t protect them from the mosquitoes, I can’t rebuild the home. Every night, when it’s my thoughts and the buzzing of drones, I wonder if the house will collapse on my family. On my parents, my sisters, my brothers, our cat and its four kittens. I wonder if the house will get bombed while they’re all inside. I don’t want them to die without me. If they will die, I hope it’s on one of the days that I’m visiting them. 🚨BREAKING: Secretary of Homeland Security, Markwayne Mullin, says the... anti-ICE protesters, in New Jersey, aren’t just exercising their First Amendment rights… They’re actually organized, sponsored rioters… who are there to “injure everybody.” Which is an interesting claim… Because the videos show protesters, and the press, being beaten by ICE agents, pushed under moving trucks, shoved by police, hit with batons, struck with rubber bullets, and blasted with tear gas. So, for people allegedly showing up with the goal of hurting everyone around them, they seem remarkably committed to being on the receiving end of the violence. But, my favorite part of his logic is… According to DHS, the fact that someone saw an ANTIFA flag means all the protesters must be organized, and funded, by this imaginary organization. Because that’s apparently how evidence works now. So, when counter protesters showed up wearing Proud Boys gear… does that mean the counter-protests were sponsored by the Proud Boys? And since some counter-protesters were filmed assaulting anti-ICE demonstrators, and lighting things on fire… Does that mean every counter-protester was a violent rioter? Or do we only play this game when it’s people criticizing the government? Because if one alleged flag means an entire movement is secretly funded by a nonexistent organization, we’re going to have to start applying that standard consistently.
