Experienced a 98ft wide flat screen yesterday; the widest... I’ve ever seen (ties with PCX). Powered by dual laser CINITY projectors under their “CINITY science” branding. The second I walked in, the sheer scale hit me. I couldn’t stop feeling breathless trying to gasp at how ridiculously tall the ceiling is. Watched a bright 3D dinosaur documentary, and when it ended, I had a genuine “wait… all of that was projected on this silver curtain?” moment. Absolutely magical. ✨🦕show more

ANNOUNCEMENT TIME. . TOM A SMITH X SWIM SCHOOL... I DONT WANT YOU TO HAVE TO REMEMBER ME FOR LONGER THAN YOU EVER KNEW ME Can I start by saying that this is the best song I’ve ever written. When we play it live it’s had the best reaction I’ve ever had and it’s been requested almost daily since we first played it. It’s also the longest title ever! . I wrote it with a female co-harmony in mind and after a chance meeting at Isle of Wight Festival the amazing Swim School agreed to collaborate. Can I just say that Alice is one of the most creative, innovative performers I have ever met. We ended up with layer upon layer of her incredible vocals that completely dominate the song and take it to another level. What a band man. . . I can’t wait for you to hear it but you’ll need to wait until 30/8.show more

Today I had my first demo drive in a... Tesla. It was also my first time ever sitting in one. This was the first car I’ve ever sat in the driver’s seat of where I didn’t touch the steering wheel for over 20 miles. Before I even got to the car, the people who had demoed it before me were an older married couple who were absolutely euphoric. They thought it was so cool that the car could drive itself. The Tesla employee told me this happens all the time. People come back from demo drives and tell the next test driver that they’re about to have an amazing experience. Little did I know, I’d end up carrying on the torch to the next couple demoing it after me. There was a ton of construction where I demoed the car, and FSD handled the entire drive extremely well. And yes, it can go through a drive-thru and stop at each window. The only thing I had to do was tap the pedal because it wouldn’t leave on its own, but it was still wild seeing the AI stop perfectly at the second window and wait. There are a million things I could write about why a Tesla feels like a better car and how much more it offers compared to a regular car. But for now, I’ll stick to FSD. There were only two moments that made me a little uneasy. The first was pretty minor. The car slightly hesitated going up a driveway, but quickly made up its mind. The second was more noticeable. I didn’t realize the car was nagging me. Once I touched the steering wheel, nothing happened, so I pulled it right a little harder, then let go. After that, the car turned left and crossed a double yellow on a backroad. (and yes I know you can sue the volume knob) I’m not totally sure if it was trying to pull over or what it was doing. I wanted to see how it would handle the situation, but there were cars coming, so I took over and corrected it. One of the coolest moments was when I thought FSD was glitching because it came to a complete stop in the middle of a busy road. Then I looked around and realized why. On the right side, there was a bicyclist waiting at a yellow crosswalk. The cars behind me didn’t honk, and the Tesla stopping actually incentivized another car in the right lane to stop and let him pass. The car is almost too nice to pedestrians, because 99.999% of humans would’ve blown through that, especially with no flashing light. For 99.9% of the drive, the car navigated confidently and smoothly. It was a real “feel the AGI” moment. Please do not let the media, the general public, or anyone else convince you that this technology is just some kind of auto assist or glorified cruise control. This is undoubtedly getting extremely close to feeling superhuman. You still have to pay attention to the road, but after experiencing it myself, I’d be shocked if HW4 Teslas aren’t unsupervised within the next couple years. The car was extremely smooth. There was no harsh braking, and it even avoided something in the road that I didn’t see. Driving with FSD made me realize I probably wasn’t driving as well as I could be. Hopefully, eventually, everyone’s car can be as mindful as a Tesla. I’ve never seen a brand so far removed from the public’s sentiment. I’m so happy I ordered one.show more

I arrived in America with my hike clothes .... On the third day after missing my flight to the US , I decided life had to go on . So I went to arboretum to let go and chart what next coz I had a startup to run - couldn’t afford to be depressed . I walked around, paths I’d never trailed before . Spotted butterflies . Sought my spark - how the trees excited me before , or the sheer wonder of how tall and crooked they were . Till I was calm enough for the butterflies to veer towards me - again . Then I let go . Cancelled all my travel plans , meetings , reservations etc . Then I informed my partners . It was almost 9pm when I told one of our angel investors about it , that he said we could not cancel the business trip . There and then he got me an 11pm flight to Washington DC . I had no time to change clothes . The plane was leaving in two hours and with Nairobi traffic, I just changed my hoodie and socks and left for the airport . Good thing , I had not unpacked my suitcase . I arrived at JKIA and the next stop was at Amsterdam. I couldn’t believe it . I made it on time for the event that I was invited to at Mary Mount university. Didn’t present coz I had initially cancelled but the people loved my story . How I got to SF ? That’s another interesting story on its own …show more

⛈️ The storm I witnessed yesterday near Clarendon, Texas,... is hands down one of the most incredible ones I’ve ever seen! Those bright blue bands were so vibrant. I haven’t seen such bright blue banding like that since a hail storm in Iowa in 2022. The blue hues are caused by the scattering of sunlight by ice crystals and water droplets high in the storm clouds, especially during the “golden hour” when the sun’s angle enhances those vibrant colors. I’d trade nearly any tornado I’ve seen in the past two years for this—honestly, I could care less about tornadoes. I just want to see the coolest or most interesting thing out there. I wish I had more time to stand under this thing. RadarOmega Project WeatherEyeshow more

I’m posting this, why? I really don’t know why.... Other than some idiot told me my leg was f***ed up, looked horrible, that I should wear long pants and should be embarrassed to wear shorts. I turned and quietly walked away. Still, it struck a nerve, it pissed me off. Years ago I took a boat propeller through that knee. I had bilateral tib/fib fractures. Had 13 fractures between the two legs. I had the whole death experience thing. It was a miracle I lived. I was not supposed to keep the leg. They were doubtful I would ever walk again. I spent 4 months in a hospital bed. Did time in a wheelchair. Spent over a year on crutches. Had a cane for a while. There were numerous surgeries. I worked my tail off trying to recover and return to normal. It took many years to get rid of the limp. I now walk without a limp. I run. I bicycle. I snow ski. And some idiot is going to have issue with how my leg looks? Well, that is just too darn bad. Go get a life. I’ll probably delete this in a day or two, but right now I am a bit pissed. Okay, and admittedly a bit bothered by it. It is amazing that it bothered as much as it did. Guess maybe deep inside I was remembering how it used to make me feel when people made fun of me back when I had a limp, and worse yet, how people (yes, strangers) would make fun of me in public when I just starting to walk and had trouble controlling my legs. So, really just venting, shouting into the void. That is all. I am sure I will be okay in the morning.show more

About that Check Engine light… I will say that... all these problems started shortly after I possibly got struck by lightning. I was pulled off on the side of the road doing a radio interview about storm chasing with 680 CJOB out of Winnipeg, home of the Jets,l. I hadn’t seen a damn bolt of lightning all day. Right in the middle of answering a question about the movie Twister, BAM out of nowhere a flash and instant crack of the loudest thunder I’ve ever heard. If it didn’t hit me it was very close. I shit you not this all happened.show more

What happens when an autonomous robotaxi gets into an... accident? So far, nothing. Yesterday, I rode in a Zoox robotaxi and got hit by an RTC bus in front of New York New York. The Zoox was trying to turn right into New York New York on Tropicana Avenue just after crossing Las Vegas Boulevard and the bus was trying to get over to make its stop. What I saw, was the RTC bus merging into the front left of the Zoox robotaxi and then a crunching sound followed by a grinding sound. Pretty sure it was the RTC bus at fault. Impact detected. The Zoox robotaxi stayed in place while a warning popped up on the user display. Zoox support came over the in-car speaker and asked if I was okay and then eventually had me exit the vehicle at the New York New York rideshare area. Then, it just took off. The RTC bus? It also took off. The driver never got out to check to see what happened. Loaded up some passengers and went about the day. Nobody stayed around to file a police report, so I did. The Nevada State Troopers are scratching their heads at what to do here and so am I. Now I have a lot of questions that won’t get answered probably. I am okay and not injured thankfully, just shaken up a bit. As far as riding Zoox again, I feel it is safe to ride and highly recommend trying it out if you haven’t. On a side note: The Zoox took the hit pretty well and I couldn’t see damage when I checked it out. The bus had a nice scrape on its right wheel fender. I will keep you all updated on this.show more

The past year has seen me have a renaissance,... in the truest sense… I won’t go into details now but will at some point before long. What has brought so much happiness to my life and those around me this past year has been my falling back in love with sport. Cycling has, and always will be, my number one. Yet I’d forgotten that I simply love sport, not for results but for the sheer joy of doing it, I’d completely forgotten that the health of my mind is intrinsically connected to the health of my body. I’ve rediscovered the love I had for sport that existed before the world of professional cycling took over in the way it did. I’ve been pushing myself and trying new things this past year, indifferent to the results, just out having fun and at times going deeper than I thought I was capable of anymore. Last week I got on a TT bike for the first time in a decade, Factor Bikes built me a bike, I’ve been looking at it for two years and decided it was time to get fitted, getting back on it felt like going home. Anyway, the long and the short of this is that it’s inspired me to create a club to inspire and be inspired. A community for us to share our love for getting out there and doing it, because I’ve realized that although I spend most of my sporting life on my own I derive the most pleasure when feeling part of something. It’s in its early days, I’ve called it Sporting Club CHPT3 aka SCC3, I’d love you to check it out and join. It’s still in its infancy, but I hope it’s going to grow into something that will inspire you as much as me.show more

I still can’t believe it… I just had my... first Hi-Bye with them. 💗😇 You have no idea how beautiful these two are. The moment they recognized me, my whole heart just melted. And the way #Ormkornnaphat said “hi”… you could feel it came straight from her heart. In that moment, I realized how much I treasure this experience and how truly happy I am. 💗 For a moment, I even forgot the pain from my ankle surgery that’s how powerful this feeling was, how healing their presence can be. You can’t imagine I’ve worked with so many celebrities in my career, but feeling like a fan… this is rare. Something magical. Something beautiful. And I’m grateful to be a part of this journey. These two are now standing on a global stage, and for me, it will always be an honor to say: I’m proud that I know both of you. And who knows… maybe one day I’ll say, “I worked with both of you.” ✨ Thank you, my longwaytogo. And thank you, #LingOrm, for allowing me to meet such amazing people, such a warm group, such a rare community. And thank you for simply existing in a world that desperately needs a little more love, a little more light, a small touch of joy to remind us that happiness still lives here. I truly appreciate every tiny second of this. ✨💗 LINGORM MACAU MEET D1 #LingOrm3rdMeetMacauD1 #หลิงออม orm kornnaphat🌈 linglingsirilakshow more

It was a Friday night in October when I... received an email with the subject line… “Custom Golf Bag | Sammy Spieth” I remember it vividly. We had a horrible day in sales and I was a little down in the dumps. But I told my wife that this could be huge. We spent months working and finalizing the design. Below are some of the early drawings ⬇️ After getting the bags finished, I knew these could be really special. I had no clue if the bags were going to show up to the Par 3 course yesterday. Honestly, I was nervous. But after seeing Jordan’s wife with the bag in her hand, I had such a sense of relief. We made it. Yesterday will be a day that we will always look back on in the history of Charlie Golf. Really, really cool stuff. A legit pinch me moment.show more

Cybertruck’s quick steer-by-wire & four-wheel steering system saves driver... from a potentially bad collision. “On a two lane highway listening to the evening news when all of a sudden I see a car, glass, and parts flying at me. I cranked the steering wheel hard and fast to almost full lock. I missed the oncoming car by MILLEMETERS! This is a testament to how well the 4 wheel steering works and especially the drive by wire steering. Had I been in my Ram I would have either hit the car to my right at the stop sign, over steered and had to counter steer and would have either spun out, ditched it, or worse rolled it. Can you believe people sleep under such structures? As... a journalist, I don’t stay in the same place and I’m constantly on the move. Yesterday, I decided to go spend some time with my family in Jabalia where we had tuna and mayonnaise for dinner. I went to the bathroom and saw the ceiling covered in mosquitoes and the smell of sewage was overwhelming. The living room has a massive column broken in from the neighboring building. Somehow my family is adapting to all of this. Sharing a small bowl of tuna, surrounded by a horrible smell, walls covered in mosquitoes and somehow they still manage to crack jokes and bring me joy. But still, my feeling of helplessness broke me. I couldn’t bring more than some tuna, I can’t fix a sewage system that was completely obliterated, I can’t protect them from the mosquitoes, I can’t rebuild the home. Every night, when it’s my thoughts and the buzzing of drones, I wonder if the house will collapse on my family. On my parents, my sisters, my brothers, our cat and its four kittens. I wonder if the house will get bombed while they’re all inside. I don’t want them to die without me. If they will die, I hope it’s on one of the days that I’m visiting them. This is the first time I’ve ever had to... take over with a critical intervention in a long time. I have never experienced this kind of hesitation on a left turn before, even in earlier versions, where it would stop mid-turn and block the path of a car going straight. Q: Was there a particularly memorable moment working with... the members on this album? Tyler Spry: There’s a video that’s gone around on the Internet when I was writing with V, James Essien and Sean Foreman. That video is not the making of any of the songs that made the album, but it was one of the most fun days I had in the studio with the guys. We were just jumping up and down, singing the songs. I think that it was one of the freest days we had in the studio, creatively. So I do hope that song gets to see the light of day.show more

#Interstellar #InterstellarRerelease last night at Prasads Multiplex #PCX Screen... — superb experience! Image and sound quality was perfection — such a crisp, sharp, detailed, contrasty and bright, high quality DCP! You could even notice the difference in the grain between the 35mm shot scenes and the IMAX 70mm shot scenes. Certain scenes got bright enough that they could light up the front part of the hall (you can see that in the docking sequence clip here). Sound was lovely and powerful (in some parts like the tesseract sequence I noticed that the sound was so powerful it made the screen vibrate, and you could see a vibration like effect on the subtitles too!), as expected. It was a similar experience as the one I had in July 2023. I have said it before, this is undoubtedly, the best place in Hyderabad to watch this movie. Yes, this is the Scope version without the (IMAX exclusive) switching aspect ratios. However the movie is powerful and impactful enough that you'll have a wonderful experience. Thanks as always to Mohan Kumar for regular updates here on X.show more

This was the worst morning I’ve ever experienced. I... opened my phone’s camera to tell you about the suffering of displacement and how difficult the situation is here. Three powerful explosions happened right in front of me -I documented them, but then had to shut off my phone as the situation kept getting worse. People started running in all directions, fleeing from death that was closing in fast, and no one knew where to go. This video of me was taken the moment that... God fully entered me and I fully allowed God in. God hasn’t left since. I had danced around it for a while, still processing conditioning that God was a religious word, a heavy word. I had to untangle some stuff before being able to call God by name, directly, without flinching, without sarcasm. I can’t believe I have this moment on film. The person filming was a non-believer - He believed God was an oppressive Christian force, a cult leader, a fairytale, a problem. So I kept quiet. Seconds after this video, twisting the water out of my hair and getting my clothes back on, I turned away from him and muttered in quiet prayer to myself “I love God … I love God… I love… God. Thank you”. I was finally able to say it with my whole being in that moment. Heart bursting. I finally understood who God was. I wanted to share it with my friend so bad in the moment but I couldn’t. I knew where he stood. Hours later, I told him about my God moment. I played it off a bit for my skeptical audience, implying that the cold plunge made me so high and faint that I was talking to God. But I knew in my heart what was happening. How real it was. “Should I be worried?” He responded. Then he went on to tell me a story about how a woman approached him on the beach last week and tried to convert him to Christianity with some pamphlets.show more

the moment boy with luv started, I completely lost... my sh*t. I became an army because of this song. one random day, I walked into a japanese anime shop, heard it playing, pulled out my phone, and used shazam. I had no idea that a single tap would open the door to the magic shop and change my life forever. I owe so much to this. it was the beginning of everything. having it as the surprise song felt like the universe bringing me back to where it all started, and I don’t think I’ll ever have the words to describe what that means to me. the best night ever 💜show more
