NL Rookie of the Year candidate Sal Stewart attended practice and met the 2021 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. “Every Sunday this jersey is on,” said Stewart. “My girlfriend bought it for me as a Christmas gift. I told her, ‘Hey, I want a Ja’Marr Chase jersey.’” What does Sal admire about Chase? “Everything,” he said. “His explosiveness, his competitiveness. Dexter Lawrence to Joe Burrow at the start of practice: “I wanna see it today Mr. Burrow.” Joe’s response: “You can see it every day brother” I asked Dexter about that exchange after practice. “Somebody has to challenge the King of the Jungle as they say,” said Lawrence. “Somebody has to keep him on edge in order for him to get better and grow. DJ Turner shined with sticky coverage on back-to-back snaps. “I will single-handedly get DJ Turner national attention — I swear to God I will,” said ESPN analyst Ben Solak. “Every time I’ve turned on Bengals’ defensive film the last couple of years, you just see a guy who moves like the top corners move and who can see the ball the way the top corners can.”show more

Five observations from the #Bengals rookie minicamp: 1. WR... Colbie Young is 6’4 with a huge catch radius and 4.49 speed. Former Georgia teammate Dylan Fairchild calls him a 4th round steal. “I was super fired-up,” said Fairchild. “I went home and told my wife, ‘We got Colbie!’ If you would’ve told me a year ago that he went where he went, I would’ve been shocked. Five observations from Day 9 of #Bengals camp: 1.... Right tackle Trent Brown was cleared to practice today but spent one more day on the rehab field (tossing a 50-pound bag among other things). Look for him to be in uniform and taking part in football activities tomorrow.show more

Calvin Ridley is a route TECHNICIAN 😳 Jamal Agnew... (Jaguars WR) said he believes “nobody” in the league is able to guard Ridley. Davante Adams (Raiders WR) even said he believes Ridley is the “fourth best” WR in the NFL. Ridley reportedly “impressed” everyone at Jaguars minicamp with his lack of rust after missing a season. Ridley looks like he may be the best WR to come out of the 2018 NFL Draft.show more

Ja’Marr Chase agrees with Joe Burrow: the Bengals need... to make changes after missing the playoffs for a third-straight season. He also said the changes are “pretty obvious” and can 100% be fixed in one offseason.show more
