We don’t need to label this kid as being... a Palestinian or an Israeli. It shouldn’t matter what nationality, religion, ethnicity or name this child has. It shouldn’t matter if it’s a boy or a girl, a child of a peasant or a child of a king. All that matters is that this is a child, and all children should be treated as the innocent beings that they are. If you are putting more weight on the life of a child of one ethnicity, one religion, or one ancestral line other than those of your own family or friends, then your moral compass is out of wack. Hills I will die on as an elementary school... teacher, who just wrapped up my 32nd year teaching! 1. If you are not PASSIONATE about blessing, serving, and empowering those you are blessed to teach, this profession is not for you. 2. Our students are not “ours”. They are their families, and we need to understand the magnitude of the calling, and responsibility we have to meet them where they are, and to help them to get to a place that they never thought possible. 3. As important as the curriculum is (and it IS important), the children in our classroom are what matter most. It’s our JOB to teach the curriculum to SERVE our students, NOT to use our students to push any sort of agenda. 4. Just as we teach our students to “leave things better than they found them”, we need to leave our students better than they were when they first entered into our classroom. Never let a day pass without pouring into each and every child. 5. We should not teach our children WHAT to think, but HOW to think, and how to use that knowledge to bless and serve not only themselves, but the world around them. 6. Our words carry little (or NO value), if we do not practice what we preach. 7. If we don’t make learning fun, children will view learning as a chore, and we we will be creating a generation of children who grow up to be young adults who don’t see the joy in learning new things. 8. The child that may be “difficult to reach/teach” (the one who may get on your last nerve more than you could ever imagine), is someone’s EVERYTHING. Get to know them as human beings, find out what motivates them, and do everything you can to help them to thrive. 9. Never tell a child they “can’t” do something. God has blessed each of them with far more strengths and talents than we may know, and it’s not our job to tell them what they can’t do, but to help them to realize all the things they CAN do. 10. How to vet a firearms instructor: •Certifications are a baseline. NRA, USCCA, or state credentials are common, but they don’t guarantee skill or good teaching. •Ask who trained them. Good instructors are lifelong students. If they haven’t taken a class recently, that’s a red flag. •Experience ≠ expertise. Military or law enforcement backgrounds are cool, but don’t assume they’re good at teaching civilians. •They should ask about you. Your goals, your experience, your comfort level. If it’s all about them, move on. •Safety should be front and center. They need a plan, a trauma kit, and should talk safety early and often. •Check their online presence. Do they have student reviews? Do they list prices and course content clearly? •They should be respectful. If you’re in the LGBTQ+ community, a person of color, or new to guns, you should feel welcomed—not judged or tested. •Beware ego trips. If it’s just war stories, tough guy energy, or gear obsession, they’re not focused on teaching you. •Trust your gut. If anything feels off, walk away. im sorry but this is a very good example... why detailed, full of context leaks from “extras” and randos on set are fake or full of shit in 99% of cases… if an actor cant place a scene based on dialogue, I promise you an extra that saw 30 seconds of a scene (if) can’t draw context from it and tell you what is going on in the episode/season/with characters. you can get: outfits, maybe a line or two if they even manage to hear it and actually remember it, what they THINK is going on and if they’re composed enough to pay attention to a clapperboard and ADs, maybe an episode and a scene number (that is usually not the case tho)show more

Is your toddler suddenly throwing (or dropping) everything they... get their hands on? Food, toys… you name it. You’re not alone. This week I’ve been introducing play schemas, 9 common patterns that can help to demystify your toddler’s seemingly random behaviors. And you guessed it: this is one. We call it the trajectory schema. If you take nothing else away from this post, let it be this: your little one doesn’t throw things because they are misbehaving or “bad.” Babies throw things because they are babies. And they are learning as they do so. Learning about cause and effect. Learning about gravity. Learning what (and practicing something new) they can do with their bodies. Learning hand-eye coordination. It’s a completely normal part of development. And the fascination won’t last forever. The real question is, how do you manage it? First, be proactive. Expect that anything your little one handles might reasonably be thrown or dropped. So choose wisely, avoiding items that are valuable or might pose a danger to them or others if they suddenly took flight. Second, depending on the age of your child, begin introducing some natural consequences. Put the toy/object away temporarily after it is thrown (if throwing it is dangerous or inappropriate). And involve your child in the subsequent clean-up. You can also redirect. Explain which things are and are not for throwing. Model the correct use of these objects. Finally, lean into it. Recognizing that young children are drawn to throwing, provide items that are safe and acceptable to throw. Soft toys. Socks. Balls. Completely agree with Auron MacIntyre’s take here about the... importance of reading original sources (the context is George Washington’s Farewell Address, and how reading that and other pre-1945 sources helps you see how different the world was, and how deceived many of us are about what “American values” are). But I would take it a step further: This focus on original sources is precisely what led me away from protestantism, and to the Catholic Church. I discovered “something very radical and modern” (as Auron said) had happened in the 16th century, representing a huge departure from the fullness of Christian truth and fellowship. I discovered the Church Fathers, and the Saints who succeeded them, all of them testifying to a radically different faith and Church than I been taught to believe in. I discovered protestantism was an aberration with no firm basis in history or Christian thought, and that I had unwittingly been on the side that had helped destroy Christian civilization, ironically in the name of Christ. Just like many people today are destroying America in the name of “American values.” When you know our roots, you know that claim is often bunk. People get so emotional about DNA issues that they... refuse to think reasonably. If you, on your own volition, wake up one morning, and decide to go have a DNA paternity test of "your" children, then you must also be ready for the results that will come back to you. You must have reasonable cause to go for the test. That reasonable cause means you are not 100% sure if the kids are yours and hence need a confirmation test. The DNA centers are supposed to take you through counseling before you sign on to do the test. Don't go for a test and later come and disturb us online with the results. Nobody asked for it. The situation is different if you need to have the DNA test to help you complete some documentation for traveling etc. That one you didn't request for the test out of your own volition. So I can understand you if you are surprised when the results come. Look at this innocent community dog, peacefully sleeping and... posing no threat to anyone, yet this child walks up and hits him. If you ask who is at fault here, it is not the child alone. The bigger responsibility lies with the parents or guardians who watched it happen, smiled, and didn't stop the behavior or explain why it was wrong. This child should be gently counselled today so that he learns the true meaning of compassion, empathy, and respect for every living being. Children are not born cruel they learn from the environment around them. If a child can hit a helpless animal in front of you and you remain silent, it reflects a missed opportunity to teach kindness. And imagine if this frightened dog had reacted in self-defence. The entire world would blame the dog, while forgetting what led to that moment. Let's raise children who protect animals, not hurt them. There is a compiled list containing the fifty-two names, & most of them are 21 YEARS OLD!!!! At 21, the children of your politicians enjoy a sheltered life here in America, Europe, & across Asia & the Middle East. But AAU children were kidnapped from their hostels (at midnight) by the Nigerian police, BECAUSE THEY CAN!!!! At just twenty-one, those children will spend 14 days in prison for simply asking the government to protect them, & THEY ARE JUSTIFIED! That’s not all: 48 of the students were kept in that van for at least 2 hours before they were taken to prison. So shame on the Nigerian Police. Shame on Edo State Government.
