FSD 14.2.2.5 on Mad Max gets pulled over by... a State Trooper for speeding 🚔🚨 A few interesting observations: When passing the State Trooper, FSD saw the vehicle and moved over into the left lane to yield more space (albeit without slowing down). When the trooper turned his lights on, FSD did initiate a turn signal as if it was going to pull off onto the shoulder. FSD took me into the HOV lane yet again... today despite me being the only passenger in the car. This time when I yanked it back into non-HOV lane and tried to engage FSD again, it blinked red asking me to take over immediately and displayed a message on screen saying FSD aborted due to system error. FSD prevented a wreck. My MYP was full of... people and we were heading to our next stop. The blinker was on for the upcoming turn lane. A red car pulled out in front of us and stopped. FSD kept us safe. I grabbed the wheel after FSD completely stopped out of instinct.show more

Almost got into an accident this afternoon while on... FSD. FSD thought the FedEx truck would make its turn quicker. When it realized it couldn't, it tried to go around. At the same time, there was a car approaching in the right lane. I assume FSD calculated there was space for me in the right lane, but it really should have just slowed down. I had to slam on the brakes and steer the car to the left to avoid the driver side of my car clipping the trucks bumper. It was way too close for comfort. I have done tens of thousands of miles on FSD and have never had anything this close happen before.show more

Here is why I disengaged FSD 14.3.3. Before this... clip starts, I could see a semi coming down the on ramp and saw that it had some momentum. FSD did not slow down but the truck in the right lane would have ran into the other semi and either had to brake real hard or switch lanes. I took over to make it clear to the semi driver that I would let them over. No big deal, would be nice, if FSD could have seen that coming and facilitated that move. Tesla AIshow more

FSD faced a real life trolley problem today and... everyone lived. I was messing with the MCU when I felt the truck jerk right and then a harder jerk left. Cresting a hill a lady was coming into my lane so FSD moved to the shoulder to avoid her but a jogger was coming so it quickly veered left to give room. 💪🤘show more

I have no idea why fsd 13.2.9 didn't slow... / stop in this situation. Fsd was going ~40mph and doesn't see firetruck or respond to vehicle in my lane slowing down. For the people who will say I shouldn't have disengaged, there was no slowing down occurring, & I'm not chancing it with 6.8k lbs to hope it stops fast enough.show more

FSD 14.1.3 swerved AT a pedestrian at 4 seconds... in. At least that's what I thought at first. Then I looked back at the footage and saw that the car to my left veered into my lane and FSD moved me over so I didn't get hit. We drive with two eyes that can only see in one direction. I’m not sure which FSD build after v14.1.7 resolved... the issue where FSD would initiate a reverse maneuver even when the garage door was closed. Tonight, I did the same experiment with FSD v14.2.2.2. After pressing the “Start Self-Driving” button, the vehicle neither moved forward nor reversed. To rule out a fluke, I repeated the test several times and observed the same behavior each time.show more

Watch FSD v14.1.7 slow down on a 50 mph... two-way road to dodge several bodies of water by partially swerving to the opposing lane. I couldn’t see the standing water in my lane. Not only did FSD see it but also it made proper decision to go around it. The execution was flawless.show more

Since v14, FSD has this weird obsession with moving... from the inner lane to the outer lane during a left turn. For me, it happens on every two-lane left turn. And it does it in a very jerky, dangerous way — even if it means cutting in front of another car, FSD will still insist on doing it. Is this because FSD is more afraid of hitting the curb at the corner than of getting rear-ended by someone else? This really feels like a serious bug to me. I’m not sure whether it’s because the model is overfitted to avoid curbs during turns, or because it was trained to always end up in the rightmost lane after a left turn. I honestly don’t know, but I really hope this gets fixed soon.show more

A fun new hobby of mine is taking the... Tesla to different areas to see how FSD performs. A few days ago I drove from Long Island to Atlantic City. FSD did 99% of the driving. Was driving on FSD V14.3.1 today and it avoided... a couple potholes/manholes. Not sure if it was just mimicking the behavior of the car in front or if it made the decision independently, but either way, FSD avoided it.
