FSD edge case: Funeral Procession. As the procession approached,... it drifted toward the shoulder slightly then straightened back into the lane. Rare disengage for me in order to pull the car over. Did I tap out too early? I wasn’t sure if it would’ve pulled over.show more

FSD 14.2.2.5 on Mad Max gets pulled over by... a State Trooper for speeding 🚔🚨 A few interesting observations: When passing the State Trooper, FSD saw the vehicle and moved over into the left lane to yield more space (albeit without slowing down). When the trooper turned his lights on, FSD did initiate a turn signal as if it was going to pull off onto the shoulder. Unfortunately, I disengaged at this point and didn’t get to see if FSD would’ve actually stopped. Fortunately, only a warning was issued for speeding (allegedly). 🎟️show more

FSD took me into the HOV lane yet again... today despite me being the only passenger in the car. This time when I yanked it back into non-HOV lane and tried to engage FSD again, it blinked red asking me to take over immediately and displayed a message on screen saying FSD aborted due to system error. I had to drive manually for the rest of the trip. I thought I got a FSD strike but nope, I was all clear. FSD v12.6.4 continues to fail. 👎 Tesla Elon Musk Ashok Elluswamyshow more

My Cybertruck on FSD randomly appeared to be taking... the wrong turn. Then seconds later I noticed it got over for an emergency vehicle. After the emergency vehicle drove past, the Cybertruck went back into the original lane. It somehow saw it before I did. Really impressive stuff.show more

Almost got into an accident this afternoon while on... FSD. FSD thought the FedEx truck would make its turn quicker. When it realized it couldn't, it tried to go around. At the same time, there was a car approaching in the right lane. I assume FSD calculated there was space for me in the right lane, but it really should have just slowed down. I had to slam on the brakes and steer the car to the left to avoid the driver side of my car clipping the trucks bumper. It was way too close for comfort. I have done tens of thousands of miles on FSD and have never had anything this close happen before.show more

FSD 14.1.3 swerved AT a pedestrian at 4 seconds... in. At least that's what I thought at first. Then I looked back at the footage and saw that the car to my left veered into my lane and FSD moved me over so I didn't get hit. We drive with two eyes that can only see in one direction. FSD is seeing all around the car AT ALL TIMES!show more

My first safety-related disengagement in months. FSD 14.2.2.4 decided... to move into the opposing traffic’s lane to avoid some snow/ice ruts; however, an opposing vehicle was coming, and the vehicle did not move back over, leading me to disengage. Would you have disengaged? Tesla AIshow more

Here is an example of what I mean by... my post I quoted. There was nothing on the road, yet FSD 14.2 went over the line and ripples to avoid whatever it may have imagined. I was startled for a second and can only imagine the shock for someone trying FSD for the very first time. No, the car in the opposite lane did not come over to my side either Again, that alone would have been enough for my wife's solid "Nope, I am not using that." Today I had my first demo drive in a... Tesla. It was also my first time ever sitting in one. This was the first car I’ve ever sat in the driver’s seat of where I didn’t touch the steering wheel for over 20 miles. Before I even got to the car, the people who had demoed it before me were an older married couple who were absolutely euphoric. They thought it was so cool that the car could drive itself. The Tesla employee told me this happens all the time. People come back from demo drives and tell the next test driver that they’re about to have an amazing experience. Little did I know, I’d end up carrying on the torch to the next couple demoing it after me. There was a ton of construction where I demoed the car, and FSD handled the entire drive extremely well. And yes, it can go through a drive-thru and stop at each window. The only thing I had to do was tap the pedal because it wouldn’t leave on its own, but it was still wild seeing the AI stop perfectly at the second window and wait. There are a million things I could write about why a Tesla feels like a better car and how much more it offers compared to a regular car. But for now, I’ll stick to FSD. There were only two moments that made me a little uneasy. The first was pretty minor. The car slightly hesitated going up a driveway, but quickly made up its mind. The second was more noticeable. I didn’t realize the car was nagging me. Once I touched the steering wheel, nothing happened, so I pulled it right a little harder, then let go. After that, the car turned left and crossed a double yellow on a backroad. (and yes I know you can sue the volume knob) I’m not totally sure if it was trying to pull over or what it was doing. I wanted to see how it would handle the situation, but there were cars coming, so I took over and corrected it. One of the coolest moments was when I thought FSD was glitching because it came to a complete stop in the middle of a busy road. Then I looked around and realized why. On the right side, there was a bicyclist waiting at a yellow crosswalk. The cars behind me didn’t honk, and the Tesla stopping actually incentivized another car in the right lane to stop and let him pass. The car is almost too nice to pedestrians, because 99.999% of humans would’ve blown through that, especially with no flashing light. For 99.9% of the drive, the car navigated confidently and smoothly. It was a real “feel the AGI” moment. Please do not let the media, the general public, or anyone else convince you that this technology is just some kind of auto assist or glorified cruise control. This is undoubtedly getting extremely close to feeling superhuman. You still have to pay attention to the road, but after experiencing it myself, I’d be shocked if HW4 Teslas aren’t unsupervised within the next couple years. The car was extremely smooth. There was no harsh braking, and it even avoided something in the road that I didn’t see. Driving with FSD made me realize I probably wasn’t driving as well as I could be. Hopefully, eventually, everyone’s car can be as mindful as a Tesla. I’ve never seen a brand so far removed from the public’s sentiment. I’m so happy I ordered one.show more

Here is why I disengaged FSD 14.3.3. Before this... clip starts, I could see a semi coming down the on ramp and saw that it had some momentum. FSD did not slow down but the truck in the right lane would have ran into the other semi and either had to brake real hard or switch lanes. I took over to make it clear to the semi driver that I would let them over. No big deal, would be nice, if FSD could have seen that coming and facilitated that move. Tesla AIshow more

I had the harshest braking on fsd 14.2 going... ~65mph on the interstate today. I just pulled the video footage & I'm sharing this for transparency. It was 30 degrees this morning & I defrosted the car before driving. It appears the camera still didn't have full visibility yet & was driving up until this point with no red wheel errors / visibility issues. Fsd braked hard when it saw the VDOT person in the shoulder but it overreacted IMO cuz it shouldn't brake that hard if the person isn't moving towards the lane. After seeing that haze on the camera, idk why fsd wasn't throwing any warnings. I did have a red wheel error this afternoon but that footage doesn't show any visibility issues. Be vigilant & always be ready to intervene / disengage. Luckily I was ready and hit the accelerator instantly to avoid a worse situation. I also disengaged afterwards & submitted a voice note.show more

🚧 Tesla FSD v14.1 Lite Forgets About an Oncoming... Car? Tesla AI Same spot as a previous video where FSD waited for a gap before passing a blocked lane.
