Prime reason why you shouldn’t play star players in... a pre season game. 7-8 pre season games is beyond dumb. Playing guys for what? To have minor league guys run around looking to make an impression? If I was a GM I’d let my core of 5-8 players maybe play 2 exhibitions. I’d sacrifice them being a bit rusty games 1-3 in the regular season vs risking serious injury from some dipshit running around like a chicken with his chin cut off. And I’m not faulting those guys either (the guys trying to make the team) they have a job to do too. Jobs are won within these games. But Makar takes one up high last night, Cooley gets stapled. Both don’t return. Asset protection folks that’s business 101. I can help teach some of these GM’s if needed. - People’sshow more

🇨🇳 Many people don't know this but Chinese high... speed trains are now the fastest in the word and officially faster than even the 🇯🇵 Japanese Shinkansen Chinese trains go 350-400km/h (217-250mph) depending on the model While the Japanese Shinkansen goes 320km/h (200mph) max So I went to try it from Chengdu to Chongqing (just $80 for biz class) This one is the slightly older 350km/h model The business class cabin has 5 big seats that can lay flat with a stewardess dedicated to the cabin who serves you drinks like coffee, water, orange juice etc. I guess if it's a longer trip you probably get food served too The journey was very smooth and very fast, it maintained close to 350km/h at all times and there wasn't many stops or breaks (good) It didn't have WiFi, which is kind of a miss but it seems Chinese just use 5G for everything which worked fine for me without interrruption too I'd say the interior could be a bit more beautiful and modern. I usually say things in Japan look ancient but I think the Shinkansen interior there looks a bit more modern than here The trip took 1 hour and it passed about 300km in that time, roughly equivalent to the width of my country the Netherlands 😂 Anyway solid experience (and cheap!) 👍show more

Again, I could be coping and this is just... my speculation. #EscapefromTarkov BSG has posted downtime for 3 hours a bit ago. Whereas this seems like a reasonable maintenance, I think it could be 'Actual' Kolotun event. Nikita loves saying 'we love to give you surprises' and i think we are getting one soon. Speculation point #1. We have not yet unlock the New achievement. (image 1 - makes me think we might get super blizzard, etc.) Speculation point #2. There's cultist on top of the church of the poster for the kolotun event, indicating we still need to go to church & meet cultist (image 2, could be red herring tho) Speculation point #3 As i said earlier, nikita wants surprises. In order to do that, they dropped not too much entertaining event quests as of now, To maximize further incoming BIG EVENT. They've done this before. Speculation point #4 the videos nikita keeps posting could be anything, but most of visual videos he done was related to actual game or in-game event. He has been posting quite frequently. (clip 1 & 2) Hope this is BIG FUN EVENT! 🫡show more

WINDOWS // NYC is an interwoven city that we... will all build out together. There are three collections that all interconnect, windows, buildings, and the city itself. Here is exactly how this will unfold with Transient Labs on Tuesday, June 16th. 🏢🏢🏢🏢🏢 BUILDINGS are generative grids of windows, assembled through an onchain seed derived from Ethereum block data and each work’s token ID, creating distinct sizes and layouts. My collectors, friends and family, and limited partner communities can mint these BUILDINGS before public at 0.015Ξ This presale window is FCFS will last two hours (12 NOON EST to 2 PM EST) All remaining supply will go to public at 0.018Ξ after the presale ends. Supply is 1/1/4000 total buildings, each grid is completely unique, and some have very special qualities :) 🪟🪟🪟🪟🪟 Individual windows are 1/1/1000, and each mint is one single window. This is gated at first to my existing collectors, max mint 50 windows per wallet. Priced at 0.03Ξ, blind mint with instant reveal- this section is packed with gems- cats, plants, neon signs, and a bit of New York City embedded in every frame. Its these single windows that are the foundational layer of this project, since all grids are comprised of these windows. All my existing collectors get these multipliers on mint day, final snapshot is MONDAY the 15th at high noon, EST. For example: Drips // 2x DRIVE Lap 1 // 3x DRIVE Lap 2 // 2x 1/1 // 5x Editions // 1x GRAILS from DRIVE and DRIP DROP have an additional allocation on top. To ask about specific collections of mine, drop a comment here. 🌃🌃🌃🌃🌃 Additionally, the major work of this collection is the CITY, a 1/1 interconnected dynamic galaxy of light composed of all the layers below. This also comes with a large, museum quality physical lightbox of all 1,000 windows illuminated from within. This work will be placed by private sale. The CITY contract will also hold 20 NEIGHBORHOODS, our second largest arrangements of WINDOWS, and can be customized in collaboration with the artist or accepted as random grids. NEIGHBORHOODS will have 15 tokens at 1Ξ for private sale, with 5 held back for top holders of BUILDINGS. I am so excited to build this city with all of you. I've never worked so hard on anything in my life, and I am so grateful to all of you for the support so far. Let's do this thing!!!!show more

I went from ZERO($0) to 5 figures in less... than 5 months The year 2024 was a defining year for me and a lot of my friends. This story is one I should have told since but was waiting for the right time It all began in August after losing a cumulative of $20,000. That was literally all I had left with me and was down to less than $300. They say it all begins when you are down to your last 1 million and funny how I didn't even have up to a million Over the course of several days I began asking myself questions as to what I would have done with the money. I could have given my parent their dream house or gotten a car for myself, my mum and started my Agric business. Well, that was how Anxiety started with heavy palpitations and a pulse of 130 Not to bore you, allow me explain step by step as to how I bounced back 1) God - I wont lie to you, God and Prayers are very important in this WEB3. We have very few Normal people on here as this space is toxic enough to destroy you and your mental health 2) Network - See, I know all your idolos are telling you to grind hard which is factually correct but the real profits in this life are from who you know. Check SAYRAAH #WID 📈📉📊 content on networking for more information 2) Excellence - One little lesson I've learned from life is that excellence in itself is not restricted to a particular sphere but its a way of life. I strongly believe the reason all my clients refer me like their lives depend on it is because I handle my job with a unique style of excellence. Starting from my personal page to my clients jobs and even mannerisms 3) Hard work - This aspect has been misused so much. Hard work although very vital must be accompanied with a lot of smart work for you to have results. Scripture shows us that there is a possibility for two people to engage in similar work while they get different result. The one with the smaller result was termed a FOOLISH MAN and the one with better results was called a WISE MAN. The difference is in the knowing, you need to learn how to actually work hard 4) Voice out - Make sure you always voice out when you are not doing as much as you are supposed to. I have a lot of my guys that I tell intricate stuffs about my money-making journey and everyone puts heads together to ensure we all make money I might sound like aspire to perspire but the reality is, bouncing back is difficult but I want you to know that your hard work will eventually pay off I could have just said GOD DID but I know there's someone out there that might need this. Don't stop and don't settle, your future will thank you for it Over the next few days, I would be sharing some opportunities I recently found that I'm sure will print you money. Stay gluedshow more

Code Interpreter in ChatGPT is incredible! Took me 5... mins to make this game. You can make your own game assets with any AI generator and then ask GPT-4 with Code Interpreter to write code. If you have any problems you can ask it to fix the errors. 1. Write this prompt: "write p5.js code for Asteroids where you control a spaceship with the mouse and shoot asteroids with the left click of the mouse. If your spaceship collides with an asteroid, you lose. If you shoot down all asteroids, you win! I want to use my own textures for the spaceship and for asteroids." 2. Go to Openprocessing website create and save sketch (you'll need to save it before uploading any texture files). Copy paste code from GPT-4 3. Generate texture files and remove backgrounds, for example in Clip Drop 4. Replace names of files with your filenames 5. Run the program 6. If something doesn't work ask GPT-4 to fix it (you can copy an error and paste in GPT-4) like you would ask a human programmer 7. To learn a bit of programming write these prompts to GPT-4: "Act as my programming teacher. Tell me an algorithm of Asteroids game in detail and make names of functions and explain what each of these functions will do. Don't write the code just yet." and then " Can you describe the algorithm overall for a 10-year-old child"show more

Transparency post: (will delete) This is a video of... me giving up in real time. I’ve been having a rough few days. Despite it being my highest income month from UGC & despite the opportunities I’ve been getting, I’ve been feeling really discouraged. After crying on and off all day, I wanted to tough it out and get a project done. I felt that my energy was off but kept filming until I started stumbling on some words and couldn’t take it anymore. All this to say. UGC is NOT easy no matter what anyone tells you. It’s a 1 man business and you’re responsible for every last bit of your successes or failures. On top of it all, you still have to keep up with your personal life and responsibilities. So the pressure is intense and it’s inevitable. I’m not posting this because I have an inspirational message to share, but I’m posting this to show new creators that despite often seeing success stories, there is often a lot of pain and struggle behind those stories. So be prepared, make your mental health a priority along your journey. And whatever you do, don’t lose yourself in this field. #ugccommunityshow more

Late Night NotebookLM release notes from a busy week!... 1. Slide Decks 🎉 - the freedom it gives you to turn anything into a story is incredible. Probably the first Nano Banana Pro fully dependent product. People are exploring fonts, styles, tips & tricks, but most of all stoke. so cool to see! 2. Infographics 🎉- capture the true essence of your sources in a creative but informative single image. You can use the Custom prompt to also make amazing Worksheets to accompany a lesson! Tobi talked about it. Maybe we should make question and answer sheets a clear option 3. Custom Style prompting for Visual Overviews - direct access to the model... 4. Thinking UX! this one was a while coming but we're gonna roll out a mvp and get moving (hoho). More informative soon. 5. Longer custom personas. You can now go up to 5k chars instead of the previous measly 500.... If you need more, LMK. 6. a bit "bold", but the "create notebook +" button at the top of every notebook. We'll probably collapse this into a smaller affordance, but wanted to get a quick workflow enhancer in there for people that don't know how to get to the homescreen. We'll do more on workflows. 7. Shout out to the TPUs which are definitely melting, and thank you all for the enthusiasm this week! More soon!show more

💔💔💔💔💔 USED ABUSED AND THROWN ON THE STREETS !!!!... Reading the above you would think im talking about the Balkans ..... NO WE'RE ABOUT RIGHT HERE IN THE UK 😡😡😡😡 5 ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED RETRIEVERS DUMPED 1 BY 1 FROM A CAR ABUSED , MALNOURISHED, MATTED AND COMPLETELY BROKEN. JUST IMAGINE THAT FOR 1 MINUTE 💔💔💔 Luckily, these beautiful dogs were spotted by absolute angels, and an amazing group of people came together and made these boys safe. Of course, dog wardens were called, and the answer was SORRY WE HAVE NOWHERE FOR THEM TO GO AND THEY WILL BE PTS 💔💔 Thankfully, one of the angels had a farm and was able to give them shelter and care for the last week whilst desperately looking for someone to help them. One of our Facebook members contacted Louise and told her their plight and of course, straight away she said yes. WE HAVE TO HELP🙏🙏 So now to the dogs and how they are, they are not good, its absolutely heartbreaking 💔 5 boy golden retrievers likely have been used for breeding/puppy farming 😡. All varying ages, 1 very old boy. 1 has a neck injury we think from being tied up, he is also severely matted. 4 are terrified , 1 petrified. We have an old boy who is ok . WHAT WE NEED .... Louise has arranged for them to be transported to our kennels this weekend so firstly they can decompress and secondly we can get them all vet checked. They are all underweight un-neutered and some may be in pain 💔. NOW THIS IS THE UK SO WE ARE TALKING THOUSANDS HERE TO NOT HUNDREDS IN VET BILLS . The plan is that once we get them sorted medically we then can place them in fosters. The older boy is an absolute star and I believe can go into foster after his vet check. WE NEED ABSOLUTELY EVERY FOLLOWER TO HELP US TO HELP THEM. THEY HAVE NO VOICE AND WE MUST BE THEIRS 💔🐾 IF YOU CAN'T DONATE.. PLEASE SHARE EVERYWHERE I WILL BE UPDATING THEIR JOURNEY AGAIN ONCE THEY REACH KENNELS BUT I'M GOING TO BE VERY HONEST, UNLESS WE RAISE FUNDS TO AT LEAST COVER THEIR VET & KENNEL FEES WE SIMPLY CANT DO ANYMORE. IT BREAKS MY HEART TO SAY THIS BUT WE ARE A SMALL RESCUE RELYING 100% ON YOU! WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER SO I'M ASKING FOR A MIRACLE 🙏💔🐾 Bank and PayPal Details Bank details: Name: Second Chance Dog Rescue CIC Account Number: 53479449 Sort Code: 608371 Ref: 5 XX THANK YOU XXshow more

⚠️ Heading into the Hotline event with tempered expectations.... We’re guaranteed some new Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater info—though what that actually means is anyone’s guess at this point with the launch closely approaching. The stuff I mentioned in my earlier post was just my own speculation (and a bit of wishful thinking). Let’s see what happens! 🤔🧐🤩 ❗️ Here are the top items I’d like to see addressed: ❗️ 1⃣ Current Roadmap for MGS:MC Vol. 1: What is the current state/roadmap for Volume 1? Should we expect more updates at the current sporadic rate, or has development wrapped up? 2⃣ Clarification on MGSΔ:SE additional content: Can we get clarification on the additional modes for MGS3R? Is there a real possibility of MGO (Metal Gear Online) being added for MGS3R, or was that just a tease for a similar type of game mode? 3⃣ MGS:MC Vol. 2 Information: Any news or updates about Volume 2 would be appreciated. 4⃣ Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater Launch Details: What are the launch details for Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater, and what are the plans for post-launch support? What would you like to see❓ Let us know in the comments.show more

My entire Polymarket strategy right now is Ctrl+C on... a wallet making $20K a month and Ctrl+V on my account. Yeah. I know how that sounds. 6 months ago I would have closed the chat on anyone who said this. Probably blocked them too. But here is where I am: last month, +$2,700. Trading decisions I made: 0. For context, my best month of manual trading was $580. And that took 3-4 hours a day. Let me back up. For 6 months I was a "real trader." Charts on 2 monitors. 3 Discord alpha groups. NOAA weather data at 2 AM because someone said temperature markets were free money. Spreadsheets tracking 40 wallets. Every thread read. An opinion on every market. Average month: somewhere between $400 and "I would rather not say." I was very busy. Just not very profitable. Then something clicked. Not an insight about markets. An insight about me. The wallets I was tracking, the ones pulling $15K-$30K a month, had data pipelines, sub-second execution, and models I could not replicate in a year of trying. I was not competing with other retail traders. I was competing with infrastructure. You do not outrun a car. You get in the car. So I stopped. Stopped picking markets. Stopped reading forecasts. Stopped setting 3 AM alarms for data drops. Found 3 wallets with 90+ day track records and consistent returns. Not the flashy ones posting $3M screenshots on Twitter. The boring ones pulling 4-6% weekly on liquid markets. Connected automatic copying. 1 evening. Maybe 15 minutes of actual setup. That was 5 weeks ago. 1st week I checked the dashboard every 2 hours. Old habits. 2nd week, once a day. Now I check maybe every 5 or 6 days. Trades execute on their own. I do not choose markets. I do not analyze odds. I do not decide position sizes. 5 weeks in: +$3,100 total. Same capital that would have made me $300-400 doing it manually. Same money. Different operator. Or rather, no operator. I did not make a single trading decision. That was the whole point. The logic is short: top wallets have speed, data, and execution you and I will never have. You can not beat them. But you can stand next to them and do exactly what they do, at roughly the same time, in the same markets. The tool I use: PMX 1 evening. 15 minutes. 0 decisions since: 6 months of charts taught me less than 1 evening of copying. Turns out the smartest move in trading is not trading at all.show more

From International Space Station, we have a unique vantage... point to observe lightning storms from directly above them. Much like from the ground, they appear as rapid, intense flashes that are over as quickly as they started. But, with the help of handheld cameras and a bit of practice (and, admittedly, some luck), we can capture these intense flashes with a very high frame rate then slow them down to see how the lightning propagates. It's lightning, in slow motion. This is one that occurred over Indonesia on 6/28. I shot it for a half second at 1/120 frame rate, so, 60 separate frames. I then compiled those frames into two videos: the first, in real-time, and the second, slowed down so that each frame is a half second to highlight the progression of the flash. Note the incredible burst of light in one frame, which includes what is likely a TLE on the upper left. A TLE, or Transient Luminous Event, is an electrical discharge that happens in the upper atmosphere above lightning storms (if you haven’t seen Ferry Farhan TLE photo from last week, head over to her page). As their name implies, these are transient, or short lived, phenomena – it appeared in only one frame of the sequence, lasting for no more than 1/120th of a second. The last photo is that single frame. Absolutely incredible.show more

This 2d and 10 play in the 2Q of... the #Eagles-Chiefs game caught my eye live because it was one of a few attempted deep shots, and while Jalen Hurts may have been expected to pull the trigger to DeVonta Smith up top on the dagger/go double move, I questioned the route concepts and spacing on my latest podcast episode with Mike Sielski. I’ve since asked a few impartial sources that are more experts on this sort of thing, and while they both qualified their answers with not knowing intent, etc., they thought, yes, Hurts could have thrown it, but the Chiefs also got him off the first read, and still had safety help over top, although it looked like Smith got him to turn his hips at the break. Jahan Dotson was the No. 2 at the bottom, and he should be separating when Hurts moves off No. 1. Chiefs had him covered, though, in man. Normally, that route can be more intermediate and/or over the middle. Doesn’t have to be, but another source agreed you’d like to have at least an intermediate No. 3 underneath in Hurts’ line of vision. Clearly that wasn’t the case here. Hurts had all sorts of time and no obvious options after 1 and 2. Calcaterra stayed in to chip, and Barkley to block to set up the shot. All makes sense. Perhaps Calcaterra as the No. 3 could have kept going into the void over the middle on an option route? Nothing egregious here. No easy answers. But thought I’d provide more analysis on a play that I questioned live and in the podcast. Either way, the Eagles are struggling to get guys open downfield deep and on intermediate routes and, at least on Sunday, Hurts maybe missed a few early chances. He and Smith told me after the game that they thought they were “chasing it” too often in the first half. Kevin Patullo’s game planning was more conservative in the 2H and that ended up being enough. But he probably knows it isn’t sustainable.show more

8 things I'm doing to capture the "magic window"... of my kid's childhood. For a bit of context: I'm 42 with 4 kids, ages 11 to 2, and run my own content + services business for creators. 1. I work from home Even though I own my business, I used to have an office too. I miss it sometimes (ok at least once a week), but being closer to the kids is a bigger benefit. I get to take breaks to hit golf balls at the park, fish, and play. 2. My wife stays at home Prolly worth a whole post, but this was a shared decision that was led by my wife. We wanted to have one of us available for the kids as much as they needed. She's a nurse, which definitely comes in handy 🤕 Also means she can start work again when she wants. 3. We homeschool I was homeschooled until 9th grade, so this wasn't a hard sell for me. My wife leads the charge here, but I help the older boys with math and other topics. One cool part is they have a desk in my office room too, so we can "cowork" together. 4. I coach their teams If my kid is playing a sport, I'll be coaching. We get to be physical with each other, learn teamwork, he gets to be coached by other dads and see my coach other kids. I also started leading jiu-jitsu classes in the neighborhood for kids and my 11 yr old helps me teach. 5. We exercise together I stopped going to CrossFit a couple years ago and built a simple garage gym so my kids could work out with me. Bodyweight exercises and GORUCK sandbags are the majority of our shared movements, but they also get to see their Dad being active and practicing good habits. 6. We're active in Church Another one that deserves an entire post, but similar to coaching their teams, our kids get to be around like-minded families, mentored by adults who care about them, and build a shared faith that binds us together. We also read the Bible and pray together each day. 7. I create content May not have expected this one, but when I started my YouTube channel a primary motivator was for my kids to be able to watch the videos when they got older. To see what Dad was thinking about, how I solved problems, set goals, etc. In many ways my content is a snapshot of our lives that has value beyond audience or monetization. 8. Leveraging AI AI has made me a lot more productive—I'd say 2-3x what I was capable of just a year ago. But a few months ago I realized I was just putting those "saved" hours right back into more work. If I was twice as productive, why wasn't I working half as many hours? I'm not quite working part-time, but I have cut back and used my new efficiencies for more time with the family instead of working at the same pace. ---- If you're reading this partly because this post is blowing up— hope it gives a little more context to how I'm structuring my life and work to be as intentional as I can with my family while being the provider they need too. It's a constant balancing act, more like walking a tightrope than balancing the scales of family and work. But I'm incredibly blessed to have such a great family and good work to do with cool people. Thanks for reading!show more

Bryson DeChambeau hasn’t played since the Ryder Cup and... he won’t be again until LIV Golf Riyadh in February. He says he’s been speed training through the off season though and has a target of reaching a comfortable 200mph ball speed. He’s also been playing table tennis with America’s number 1, Kanak Jha. Speaking to Tom Hobbs from Flushing It Golf, Bryson said: “I’m not playing until Riyadh. I’m going to be going in hot though. I’m sneaky working on my game really hard. “I'm going to start ramping up my speed again. I ramped up my speed in November, got it to where I was pumping over 190 quite efficiently with some slow golf balls and stuff. I got to 200 quite a bit. “I haven’t done much recently though. I was playing some ping pong actually the past couple of days with the number one USA player, Kanak Jha. He's so much fun. Ping Pong is my favourite sport, so I got to learn a little bit from the best in the U.S. He’s twenty first in the world. So nobody's really gotten that high from the U.S. which is sweet. “But I'll get back to speed training right after Christmas and going into the new season, I want to be close to 200. So that's my goal. I’ll just get to a place where I’m super comfortable swinging fast.” The last time Bryson went after speed he gained an enormous amount of mass. He’s come back down through the weights though over the last few seasons and is much healthier for it. But, if Force = Mass x Acceleration, will he look to add more mass again and what’s more important, increasing acceleration or gaining mass? “They're both very important. If you don't have any mass, you can't accelerate it. It's a symbiotic relationship. It's actually more like F equals M V squared, that’s more of the velocity side of it. “You can accelerate too, but what I would say is the most important thing is it's not necessarily the mass or the acceleration, it’s the ability to put pressure onto the club. So you're able to apply pressure and control that through your grip strengths around a circle, that's probably the more important piece. Applying controlled pressure to the golf club like grip pressure. “It's not that you just accelerate the club, because you have to learn how to control the face through that motion as well. So it's all, you know, you can say it's acceleration, but it's a lot of grip pressure stuff. The more you control the grip pressure and how you're moving that grip, I would say that’s more the answer to your question. “And I guess at a certain point there’s dimishning return with, you know, going up in the mass and even down in the mass. There is a sweet spot for swinging a golf club. If you get a speedstick, there's just not enough mass behind it to create the smash factor necessary, and vice versa if it is too heavy, you can’t swing it that fast. “I'll always say swinging and accelerating the club is probably the most important, but the real answer is applying the most pressure to the golf club. The grip pressure. You’re not gripping it tighter, but your hand force into it pulling it and then throwing it around the corner.” Continues in comments thread below. I thought it might be fun if everyone did that together... what do you think? live... there's a way to turn it on, but even if i turned it on, i'm not sure if i could do it well. i don't have confidence rn so i'm talking like this wa, but there's only 4 days left for our comeback.. only 4 days left... how is it? are you guys looking forward to it? are u guys excited? we're going to ulsan the 15th, and wonbin hyung, said he's buying us lunch... not really. but it's our first time going to ulsan all together. we'll have our comeback there. i think it'll be fun. also, the 15th we're doing a comeback live.. we've been doing it every comeback... and at the live stream we'll be high school students.. but it could honestly be university students too.. or really just do it without a concept, but i think it'll be fun... just... it'll be fun... so, while doing that we'll talk about the comeback whatever happens i want us all to just create fun memories together, and since it’s summer, how about you all enjoy summer together with riize... how does that feel? how's this pfp? i like it ㅎㅎ engddongi, eng, engddon ah, right. also with taro hyung, we'll appear at salon drip... i also think that will be fun when it comes out. the recording was also fun, with doyeon nuna.. please watch it ah... you guys can hear the dryer? i won't tell you who's clothes it's drying, it's a secret~ since you could look at this as something im trying out instead of doing a live stream i won't be able to do it super often or every single day, but I think it wouldn't be bad to use this feature again sometime what do you think? ah, but languages are difficult it's not easy to unify into just one language now, but on the other hand, it's really fun. somehow, this chat room..? is that right? realizing that this place is totally global and international is in a way pretty cool. haha anyway, after a long time i rode a bike again.. there was a lot of sunlight... sunlight.. did lots of photosynthesis but what was a real mistake was first of all the bicycle didnt have a basket, and I didnt wear a comfortable backpack. i came out carrying a somewhat awkward/uncomfortable bag, so i really messed up on top of that the bicycle was incredibly heavy, but then the battery completely died... so I almost cried. without even realizing it I had gone so far away so I suffered a bit. that’s the story i also have the feeling i bruised my butt a bit... ㅎㅎ but that will also become a funny memory, right? how's riizing summer vacation? i think there were really a lot of funny moments... sungchan hyung was so funny... sungchan hyung said somewhere he hasn't eaten ramyeon in a year ㅎㅎ and sungchan hyung honestly isn't the type to eat ramen alone, he's on the not eating it side... but he's always like 'one bite, one bite'... so if we put all that together, wouldn't it be a plate of ramen?ㅎㅎ for me, at the beginning of our debut, it was a bit... you know how while filming content, i ended up grilling meat and all? but now, grilling meat... well, i don't think it's that bad also, back when we went to japan to shoot our album jacket photos and the trailer, we visited a lot of vinyl (LP) shops... and that was actually the first time in my life buying an LP with my own money when i was young i went to la to play, and then there was this famous 'amoeba music' store. i looked around and everything, but honestly back then i really wasn't that much interested in LPs. so i bought things like a lot of stickers and used them to decorate my laptop. somehow, after that time, [it was like] I truly spent time in a vinyl shop? but visiting now that I'm a bit older, it was so much fun there are so many songs I don’t know, and tons of songs that aren't even famous so back then in japan, duran duran is a really famous band, but I bought duran duran's Notorious LP and then I also bought Barry Finnertys,, barrynims NY City LP. what was so surprising was that as soon as I listened to the LP, the sound and quality were so good that I was like, 'wow, what is this?' but when I looked it up on the internet, it only had like 3,000 views on YouTube? I think it was 3,000, so because it was so good, I bought it. and after that yesterday too while wandering around here and there, i happened to walk into a cafe and they had LPs there too so yesterday, I bought one or two ㅎㅎ lp's no mater how you look it they have a vibe... its true that nowadays you can just look up and listen to everything on your phone, but another good thing about it (lps) is that I think it’s really great for finding songs you don't know so when going to the lp shop you get to learn a lot of new songs that you didn't know before. even if you don't go with the sole purpose of buying an LP, it's just... really great for discovering things... should I say? a riize lp would also be good... back then, during boom boom bass, we even went there and did all that stuff with our LP too... how was the video editing? back then when i went to school when doing things like presentations, together with other students we would edit videos.. i did lowkey find that kind of stuff pretty fun though because it was pretty much my first time [doing that] since back during those days... but really i think it was fun like... yeah.. i want to try to do it again when i was young i did draw. i drew for fun but it had been such a long time since i last properly sat down and tried to draw something properly with a pencil.. i think it's been such a long time i'm probably the worst at drawing in my family? ㅎㅎ my dad's good, my mom's also good.. my grandpa also draws reaññu well. but it was fun drawing again, so i also want to try that again... why is there so many things i want to do? really why is it? and above all, i want to work really hard on music so that someday i can show you even more. now, like from the trailer to the full version that was uploaded to our site... those kinds of things are a bit different from just being a song, though.. now everyone, let's try meditating together with me sorry.. anyways.. i have to leave in a couple hours actually, so.. time to hit the hay, yeehaw i can't fall asleep right away ㅎㅎ this.. seems like it might be a bit difficult to interpret/translate.. (yes anton, it is,,,) next time it might be better to just turn on a live stream instead ㅎㅎ sorry wow... sleep is really not coming... [1 video] [1 picture] ok jinja gnshow more

I doubt it's the same video that we both... watched. Let's actually micro-analyse this since you wanna. Frame 1: 1) That girl was taking forward steps towards her camera when he reached out and nudged her. "Excuse me" would have been enough. Why did he have to nudge her? Also, watch his step count and the angle of his body to his hand, and you'd realise that he had enough space to pass in that very moment. 2) She said, "Can you imagine." I didn't hear the part of "who does he think he is"; but even if she did say that, since when did "who does he think he is" become a crime deserving of harassment? 3) Remember, by this man's own very account, he stated that he grabbed her hand when she refused to hand over her phone. If you're speaking of assault, then that's where the said assault started. He had absolutely no right to attempt to take her phone, NO MATTER WHAT. There are several legitimate avenues to address an errant behaviour from a student. He chose to go that route because he believed that as far as the school environment is concerned, he is the Lord of the Manor. 4) Watching the video in frame 2, you can clearly see the man dragging her by her cloth; and considering how low-cut her dress is, you can clearly see that her entire breast was completely exposed the way he held her. This video also clearly shows that she only held him back after he refused to let go of her. 5) Lastly, I put EVERY blame on this man because he had very many chances to de-escalate this situation as the elder there. While he was walking past that girl, for a split second, he looked into the camera. He was very aware that he was caught on video. He had no problems with it until he overheard the girl's snide comment. He could have kept moving. Returning there just because a (likely) 19 year old said a few words he didn't like was merely him insulting himself. Then, for those who have continued to vouch for the man being a "gentleman," let me just make this clear: no true gentleman would be found in such a situation. The problem with Nigerians is that because we've become so used to abnormalities, we don't know what is normal anymore. Put that man side by side with a true gentleman & you'll realise he's just a quiet rascal.show more

Strength work for Leadville 100 💪 Over the years,... I have felt judged by the research--my strength routines were limited to a few minutes at a time, while everyone was screaming at me from their Abstracts that I needed to do way more. I noticed two big problems whenever I committed to more resistance training: 1. I'd carry around soreness even after the initial adaptation window, likely corresponding to high CK levels and some background inflammation. Either way, it would reduce running economy on subsequent running training days, and every training day counts. Split squats are the ultimate offender--an exercise that I know I should be doing, but I can't without feeling like Forrest Gump after he was shot in the butt. 2. I just wouldn't do it. Oops. With lots of guessing and testing, I developed this routine, which I'd do after my easy run on Sunday (before a Monday rest day), and sometimes after my workout on Wednesday (if I felt like it): 1. Three Minute Mountain Legs, working up to 100 single-leg step-ups (I think step-ups in particular are a magic exercise for running uphill. But remember, magic is not equal to science): 2. Back squats, 2 sets of 10 (135 pounds for me, which I make look like 800 pounds in this video. The 17-year old me who played football would laugh so hard) 3. Back extensions, 2 sets of 30, engaging glutes and hamstrings 4. Single-leg calf raises, 1 set of 100 on each leg, with a 35 pound dumbbell 5. Every day, I do the 2-minute Core Snack routine 1-3 times. My core strength is one of my best attributes for ultras, and I can do the Core Snack with our toddler Leo. I also do daily band work before running (bandz a make me dance): That's it! I also foam roll and stretch daily (don't tell the researchers, but I am a tight boi and as soon as I stop stretching, I get hurt). The lesson is not to do this particular routine, but that strength training for runners can be based on individual needs. And I personally think that routines should be short and efficient for both performance (limiting breakdown) and adherence (limiting me from being a lazy little punk). Find what works for you, do it 1-2 times per week year round (on top of some daily supportive work), and don't feel the need to pursue progressive overload. It's not about getting stronger and stronger (unless you're into that sort of thing for its own sake, which I think will sacrifice some running growth). It's about supporting performance and health 🧡show more

Eben Etzebeth's post on Instagram: Hey Everyone I've been... quiet, but now that my hearing is done I think I owe everyone an explanation First of all, this is not a post to show that I was not guilty, I accept guilt. I made a mistake and I'm willing to serve a suspension which I deserve. I don't want young kids who look up to the Springboks to think that it's OK to eye gouge someone, because it's not, but unfortunately mistakes happen and I made a big one for which I'm sorry. But I'd like to answer the question - why did you do such a thing? It was a mistake caused by my reaction and other factors that played a role. Slide 1: The scuffle was basically over when Wales #7 struck me with an open hand to my chin/neck area, you can see me looking at the Assistant Referee and waiting for a reaction from him (it happened fast and it's understandable that he didn't see it) without reacting yet, I got another pull on my jersey, before I go in with the similar type of action. Slide 2: You can clearly see my first point of contact is against his shoulder with an open hand, just like he did, except he got me on the chin. Another thing worth mentioning, when he struck me, I was standing still with not a lot of movement or players trying to get involved. When I went for the same open hand towards his shoulder, you'll see 2 Welsh players changing the dynamic of the entire picture as well as one of my teammates pulling Wales #7 around his neck away from my hand and where my force is going. Slide 3: Another Camera Angle So why did I post this? To try and show people how everything happened and that it was never intentional. I would never do something like this on purpose, I know what the consequences will be after playing rugby for a few years. Thanks to everyone that stood by me and thought the best of me. I'm sorry for letting you and the game down. That was my first red card since I started playing. I want it to be my last. To the people that were angry and upset with my actions, I understand - because it didn't look good on the slow motion replay and hopefully you've got a bit more context now.show more
