For those of you wondering, I was able to... call my bank and get my money back 🙏🏻 Thank you so much to everyone who helped me out last night!! Also, I saw a few of you wondering why I even got scammed in the first place. Obviously looking at the accounts now (and a few others i was talking to 💀) I can see all the red flags.. But in the moment I was driving to the stadium from the suburbs after working all day so I just didn’t have time to vet anything. Also, the proof they provided was super realistic.. and I just didn’t have enough ticketing experience to tell the difference 🤦🏻‍♀️ At the end of the day I’m super grateful I got to be there for Chicago day 1 💜 and I hope my lesson can serve as a PSA for ARMY to always be careful and stay safe when ticketing 🙏🏻show more

For me, a small gesture in this brief video... shows what kind of person Pope Francis was. Last summer, Pope Francis was reported to have used an Italian-language slur for LGBTQ people and made some negative comments about gay priests. It seemed so out of character with the person I knew, had met and corresponded with, and who had always expressed his desire to care for LGBTQ people pastorally. Not long after these reports, in June, I was at the Vatican, having helped to arrange a papal audience for comedians. A few days before that audience, I met with the Holy Father at the Casa Santa Marta and we talked about his comments. For me, it was hard to bring up the topic, but a cardinal friend of mine encouraged me. But Pope Francis seemed eager to talk about it and told me he knew many holy and faithful gay seminarians and priests, and encouraged me to share his comments publicly, which I did (after asking him a few times exactly how to word it). And it turned out that he didn’t realize how offensive the slur was and said he’d never use it again. After that, the conversation turned to other, more relaxed, matters: the US church, the Synod, and so on. It happened to be the 25th anniversary of my ordination to the priesthood and so before leaving Casa Santa Marta, I knelt down and he blessed me. As always, it was a great gift to be with him. A few days later, at the papal audience for comedians, along with the rest of the guests, I was invited up to greet the Holy Father in the Sala Clementina, which was captured in this video. You can see that I thank him for inviting me and my laughing because we joked about my being a "famous American comedian." I start to leave, since I know he’s busy, but then he gently pulls me back and surprised me by thanking me for our conversation a few days earlier. He said that he needed to hear that and was grateful for our conversation and then gave me a thumbs up. Afterwards, I thought: Who does that? What world leader thanks someone for a challenging conversation? For me, that small gesture says a great deal about Pope Francis’s humility, openness and freedom, as well his willingness to listen and learn. Weren’t we blessed to have him in our midst?show more

A 17-year-old bullfighter got KO’d by a bucking bull.... According to Levi Stewart on Facebook Yes, 1 am the kid in the orange. I am a 17-year-old bull fighter who is still learning, but I do professional rodeos. The item you see go flying from my face is my Ci Meta glasses. They unfortunately have been shattered, and I do not have the video footage. I would have to pay to get them repaired. The reason I say the glasses took a lot of the impact is because my face was perfectly fine besides a small bruise and a very small hole in my mouth, so the Lord was really watching over me. Now, for the reason why I got kicked in the face. So, when I went to step in there, from my angle, it looked like the bull rider was about to get hung up. I tried to grab the bull's head to straighten him out, but he kept going, so I figured he would keep going straight. So, I went to step in to get to that rope, but I saw his hip turn into me, so 1 threw my arms up and tried to lean back as far as possible. If you watch the video a few times, you can see that on this jump right here, the bull extends his legs, which was unexpected because the last few hops he did not. So, unfortunately, I ended up getting caught in the head, but I am perfectly fine, and it was a great learning experience. There wasn't really much I could have done differently. And the reason that we do not wear helmets is because it would take away field of view, make it harder for us to maneuver around, and it could be dangerous for the bull rider. If we have to work hangups, there are more reasons, but those are just a few.show more

UPDATE: I’M ABLE TO SPEAK AGAIN!! I been talking... since Tuesday. For those that aren’t familiar with tracheotomies, because of the open hole in my throat, it prevents me from speaking because air goes out the trach rather than up through your voice box. So in order for me to speak, I have a cap called a speaking valve (the purple cap). What it does is cover the trach to allow the air I breathe to go through my nose and mouth again while stopping air from coming out my throat, allowing my voice to come out. It’s a really big adjustment and what should feel like breathing normal doesn’t feel natural at all. I can only wear it for a short time before getting tired for now. A week ago I didn’t even know how to breathe with it on, but last night I had it on for the longest I’ve had so far and it felt comfortable. So there’s hope to getting back to normalcy. I Still have to adjust to my daily life with this thing in my throat. Still not comfortable gaming or sitting for long period of time because of the position I need to be in. It’s getting better though. Hopefully it’s still just part of the healing process. Also. For everyone asking I had spinal decompression surgery, not... a fusion. This was supposed to be outpatient, but I ended up having a Dural Tear / Cerebrospinal Fluid Leak, which unfortunately I have had the leak happen before. Anyway it had to be sealed and because I’ve had it a couple times before it was a little bit more complicated this time. But the good news is I am OK and hopefully this will keep me from having to have major surgery. Continued prayers are appreciated because the pain is unbearable at times.
