#HaloCampaignEvolved has some forced post-processing effects, such as film... grain, that can't be disabled, even when using the Low Post-Processing quality setting. If these effects bother you, here's how to get rid of them and make the image look much cleaner: 1-Press Windows + R, type %localappdata%, and click OK. 2-Navigate to: Meteorite\Saved\Config\Windows 3-Create a new text file named Engine, then change its extension from .txt to .ini. 4-Open the file and add the following lines: [SystemSettings] r.FilmGrain=0 r.Tonemapper.GrainQuantization=0 r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0 Don't forget to save. 6-Right click Engine.ini, go to Properties, and enable Read-only to prevent the game from deleting the file.show more

Wow! Send A File By Just The Camera! A... vibe coder used AI to build a file transfer system that sends data between two phones using only a screen and a camera. One phone displays a new type of animated QR codes while the other scans them to rebuild the file, with no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cables needed. It is fully optical and local. The system uses fountain codes that create each QR frame as a random mix of file data. This keeps transfers working even if some frames are missed, reaching speeds of about 129 KB/s for a 2 MB image. The entire project was built in one night and released as open source. The idea came from a music project where the developer wanted to share MP3 files without streaming or using the same network. Animated QR codes became the solution, showing a creative new way to transfer files with everyday phone hardware. GitHub link:show more

This will forever change how power users switch apps... on MacOS MacOS is full of animations. Switching to an app means repeatedly using cmd + tab or using power tools to assign a hotkey to the app. Even if you are using the hyperkey on Raycast to open apps, you will still be faced with the animations if the app is on different desktop. I've completely solved this pain point in the latest release of SuperCmd Here's what's done 1. Completely eliminated the animation, the hotkey will instantly switch to the instance of that app, even if it's on a different desktop 2. If there are multiple instances of the same app, e.g., 4 cursor projects, it will cycle through all the open windows of that app. (even VSCode / cursor supports cycling through windows only on the current desktop) I've long wanted to solve this issue for myself, and it has been the biggest bottleneck in my productivity. I see this as a huge win for power users, specially ADHD bois! SuperCmd 1.0.7 is out, but I wanted to dedicate a post to this specific feature first. The complete release post will come later. download ->show more

Regarding the Eric Trump / Daniel Cormier “text scandal”,... I am open to being convinced otherwise, but I do not believe for one second that Eric Trump would text something so stupid to Daniel Cormier. It’s laughably stupid on its face to think that Eric Trump would ask a UFC commentator if any of the fights are “rigged”. That he would ask it in writing. And that he would not, for example, just pick up the phone and call Dana White or Joe Rogan himself. That said, I just want to understand what happened. Daniel Cormier said he was hacked. Is that to say he was hacked at the text level, or the X post level? Did he in fact make the post, and delete it? If he made the post, did he do it as a joke to illustrate how absurd the text hack was, but realized how the post could be misinterpreted as real? Or did someone make the post from his X account he subsequently deleted it. I know there are some who are going to say he made the post in earnest, thinking the text messages were real, intending to call out the “corruption”, and he has since been threatened, deleted the post, and claimed “hack”, etc. I can tell you exactly why I do not believe, even if he made the post, he did it believing the text message was real, intending to call out the “corruption”. If Cormier seriously thought the text messages were real, he would understand that by posting it publicly, it would literally destroy the UFC, his livelihood and his legacy - in addition to the legacy of everyone who has ever competed in the UFC. There is no realm of the universe in which even if it were in fact a real text that he actually received from Eric Trump, he would post it publicly. Because it would mean the end of the UFC. I just want to know if he actually made the post from his X account, or if the entire post was the result of a hack (hence the subsequent deleting of the post). Serious and sincere questions for clarity that would benefit everyone Eric Trumpshow more

Last post on this I'd appreciate if people took... the time to read it and share it because I think when people listen they deserve credit but TRNSMT have done more than that I complained about the disabled situation TRNSMT Festival and I think the fact that they listened and made changes is the kind of progressive attitude we need towards disabled facilities. I wasn't complaining to come across as some sort of Karen, it just genuinely would've been a health and safety risk. So I think it's only right that I commend them for the work they've done with the platform this year. The platform has many key things that I think make it the best at any festival I've been at. 1.Clear marked out lanes for people to move out to the toilets and back to their seat to avoid congestion and create space 2. A bar for disabled people beside the platform this is amazing. 3. Toilets well spaced out as well as a changing places toilets for people who more severe disabilities beside the platform. 4. Plenty of space in the toilets. 5. It's huge and you feel really close to the stageshow more

Behind the Scenes: How I prompted 3 scenes in... 1 try on Seedance 2.0! Sharing my workflow of all my prompts for hopeless steve so you can see what were SD2 choices and what needed to be prompted. You can see how much more streamlined it is to go from one scene to the next when you can have 9 ref img's to work with. The prompt is only for the one that generated the most useful footage for each part. Scene 1, 2, 3 - 15s Ref: 1. House Ext. 2, Steve profile 3. Steve on the computer in the bedroom 4. mother cooking in kitchen. (The references a numbered so you know what the prompt is refering to.) Prompt: American sitcom style cartoon about Steve【@图片2】. Must maintain 100% fidelity to the art style and all character traits. No background music. [0:00-0:02] Wide establishing shot of the exterior of the house【@图片1】. Camera slowly zooms but remains in the wide shot. [Cut: 0:02-0:03] Interior wide shot of steve looking bored at computer 【@图片3】. No dialogue. [Cut: 0:03-0:05] Over the shoulder shot from behind steve. We see his monitor as he plays solitaire. We hear subtle mouse clicks and sound of cards as he drags and places them into the collumns. [Cut: 0:05-0:07] Side profile of Steve continuing to play solitaire on the computer. [Cut: 0:07-0:09] 【@图片4】Extreme close up of the mother's spatula flipping an egg over in the pan. $UNI of Robinhood valued at $12M???? RAMSES could be... the biggest on-chain business of Robinhood Ramses is second only to Uniswap in volume, but the market values $RAM like some small altcoin If you don't believe Ramses will grow, then you don't believe Robinhood will grow $RAM is 100x cheaper than $UNI, but Robinhood Chain hasn't even had its hype cycle yet Right now, 95% of fees go to LP providers and only 5% to the protocol That's Phase 1 But the docs state that once certain thresholds are hit, Phase 2 kicks in: the default switches to 100% of fees going to xRAM voters and 0% to LPs Once that happens, all the fees from $794K/month in volume go to $RAM holders, not LPs And if that plays out, the yield on $RAM could be higher than most DEX tokens because it's 100% of fees, not 20%show more

Code Interpreter in ChatGPT is incredible! Took me 5... mins to make this game. You can make your own game assets with any AI generator and then ask GPT-4 with Code Interpreter to write code. If you have any problems you can ask it to fix the errors. 1. Write this prompt: "write p5.js code for Asteroids where you control a spaceship with the mouse and shoot asteroids with the left click of the mouse. If your spaceship collides with an asteroid, you lose. If you shoot down all asteroids, you win! I want to use my own textures for the spaceship and for asteroids." 2. Go to Openprocessing website create and save sketch (you'll need to save it before uploading any texture files). Copy paste code from GPT-4 3. Generate texture files and remove backgrounds, for example in Clip Drop 4. Replace names of files with your filenames 5. Run the program 6. If something doesn't work ask GPT-4 to fix it (you can copy an error and paste in GPT-4) like you would ask a human programmer 7. To learn a bit of programming write these prompts to GPT-4: "Act as my programming teacher. Tell me an algorithm of Asteroids game in detail and make names of functions and explain what each of these functions will do. Don't write the code just yet." and then " Can you describe the algorithm overall for a 10-year-old child"show more

MiniMax H3 Instead of sharing the prompts for each... of these videos, I thought it would be more useful to share how I created that prompts. All of the videos were generated with text-to-video. First, find an image with the kind of scene, composition and mood you want to recreate. I used a few YouTube playlist thumbnails as references but Pinterest is also a great place to find inspiration. You can even use your own old or nostalgic photographs. Then upload the image to ChatGPT and ask it to describe the scene. The description it gives you can essentially become your text-to-video prompt. From there, you can generate completely new scenes with a similar composition, atmosphere and cinematic language. You can of course use the reference image directly with image-to-video or as a first frame. But if the original image isn't yours, I prefer using it only as visual inspiration and recreating the scene through text-to-video. This is the prompt I use with ChatGPT: "Describe the scene in this image in English, focusing primarily on what is happening, the characters, their actions and body language, the setting and the overall atmosphere. Also briefly describe the composition, framing, camera angle, approximate lens choice, lighting, color palette and cinematic aesthetic. Keep it concise and scene-focused rather than overly technical."show more

Wondering if you are “quad dominant” in your throw... and if you should change it? Maybe you shouldn’t 🤷♂️ A coach’s post coming from Austin Roark 🚀⠀ -⠀ One question I get from a lot of athletes is whether they should change their lower half because their knee is over their toe during their loading phase down the mound. ⠀ -⠀ The biggest thing that I look for when trying to figure out if it is an issue or not is to see how they are able to get out of that position. Some guys are able to leverage and rotate from that position extremely well, which then I would say that it’s not an issue.⠀ -⠀ On the other hand, there are some guys who will get out of this position by driving extension out of their back leg, killing their ability to rotate their pelvis and get it in an open position into landing.⠀ -⠀ This is when I would suggest trying to make a change. I think a lot of people jump into certain ideologies that you shouldn’t do certain things because it’s “inefficient” or it looks “wrong”. ⠀ -⠀ Take a look at these pitchers shown in the video. All 3 of these high level arms have some degree of knee flexion over their toe. Now, granted, they all have insane levers to help them, but the way they are moving is what makes them efficient in how they throw. ⠀ -⠀ I think if you told Dustin May that he had to hold a vertical shin down the mound, it would be a disaster and mess a lot of things up upstream that would impact him in a negative way.⠀ -⠀ The big takeaway here is that there are no absolutes. One thing that may look inefficient to you could be the thing that makes someone else very efficient.⠀ -⠀ When trying to figure out if you should change something about someone's delivery, make sure to look at the entire unit as a whole and don’t jump into any quick changes.show more

If you were sharing this video from the US... Capitol building on January 6 and claiming that police “escorted tourists into the building,” then you are either being dishonest, or you didn’t see what was actually happening outside the building. 1) It is almost certain that these police officers are trying to get these people out of the building not into the building. When there’s thousands of people trying to get into one location and they’ve already busted into the building, you have to escort these people through the building to get them out. 2) There were 2500 people illegally in the Capitol. There was a small fraction the number of police. What did you expect these officers to do? Try to arrest them all or try to control the situation and make sure things didn’t get out of control? Picking and choosing 30 second clips out of 44000 hours of video, including video of people busting windows, breaking glass, unlocking doors, and attacking police is disingenuous and ignorant.show more

Stop manually making flowcharts. Try this GitHub skill with... Claude Code. I found an open-source tool that turns a plain description of a software system into a clean, interactive diagram. It's called Archify, and it has more than 66,000 stars on GitHub. You add it as a skill to an AI coding agent like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or OpenCode. Then you describe the system in the chat in one line. Archify turns that line into a single HTML file you can open, click through, and send to anyone. If you point your agent at an existing codebase, it reads the code and Archify maps how the pieces connect. I liked five things about it. 1. It makes five kinds of diagrams, including system maps and step-by-step workflows. 2. You can click any piece and trace what connects to it. 3. It checks the layout before it hands the diagram over, so arrows don't pile up and labels don't overlap. 4. It has dark and light themes and exports to PNG, SVG, or a short video. 5. You keep editing in plain chat, with requests like "add Redis" or "highlight the rollback path." You don't need a codebase to use it. A description in the chat is enough.show more

🚨 Jamie Carragher reacts to PGMOL admitting their mistake... over Ryan Gravenberch’s controversial red card against Manchester City: 🎙️ “So they admit they got it wrong now? After Liverpool have lost 3-0? What a surprise. Where was this honesty when Gravenberch was being sent off? The first booking was questionable, the second decision was incredibly harsh, and now Liverpool are expected to accept an apology as if that somehow makes everything right. It doesn’t. You cannot make a damaging decision during a game and expect a statement afterwards to erase the consequences.” “What makes this even more frustrating is the inconsistency. We have seen challenges like these go unpunished in other games, yet Liverpool end up suffering the consequences here. The rules cannot suddenly change depending on the referee or the occasion. If PGMOL can look at the incident afterwards and recognise that the officials made a mistake, then serious questions need to be asked about how that decision was reached in the first place.” “And let’s be honest, what does Liverpool gain from this apology? The 3-0 defeat remains on the record. The players cannot replay the match, the supporters cannot get their afternoon back, and the team cannot recover whatever momentum was lost. PGMOL gets to admit its mistake, release a statement and move on. Liverpool are left to deal with the fallout.” “I’m not saying referees should never make mistakes. They’re human beings. But there is a massive difference between making a mistake and facing no meaningful consequences for it. If the governing body can admit an error after the damage has been done, then there must be a process to prevent the same thing from happening again. Otherwise, these apologies mean absolutely nothing. Liverpool don’t need sympathy from PGMOL. They need better officiating, consistency and accountability.” #LFCshow more

Another prime example of why some women should never... be mothers. It’s killing her having to feed her kids three times a day. It’s way too much for her. Then maybe you need a CPS visit and your children taken from you if feeding them has become too much for you. These children are in danger. These are the women sending fan mail to Lindsay Clancy. Read her comment section. The internet is forever. Your children are going to know that you find them an inconvenience. This is truly horrifying. The fact that people post this crap to the internet to get sympathy is gross.show more

I've been testing out Windows 11's new Haptic Signals... feature on compatible hardware, and I think I love it. I'm someone who yearns for small UX details like this, and I'm so happy to see Microsoft leaning into subtle but quality UX implementations like haptics across the Windows Shell. These new Haptic Signals provide a subtle bump when interacting with certain UI elements and actions, such as snapping app windows or dragging files in File Explorer. The feedback response feels great and intentional, and makes using the OS feel more satisfying. There's still room for improvement, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't impressed with this first implementation. It's only supported on a handful of devices for now, but that should change over time. I've always loved the haptic feedback layered throughout Google Pixel phones, and now Windows is getting its own version of it. More UX niceties like this, please!show more
