Regarding the Eric Trump / Daniel Cormier “text scandal”, I am open to being convinced otherwise, but I do not believe for one second that Eric Trump would text something so stupid to Daniel Cormier. It’s laughably stupid on its face to think that Eric Trump would ask a UFC commentator if any of the fights are “rigged”. That he would ask it in writing. And that he would not, for example, just pick up the phone and call Dana White or Joe Rogan himself. That said, I just want to understand what happened. Daniel Cormier said he was hacked. Is that to say he was hacked at the text level, or the X post level? Did he in fact make the post, and delete it? If he made the post, did he do it as a joke to illustrate how absurd the text hack was, but realized how the post could be misinterpreted as real? Or did someone make the post from his X account he subsequently deleted it. I know there are some who are going to say he made the post in earnest, thinking the text messages were real, intending to call out the “corruption”, and he has since been threatened, deleted the post, and claimed “hack”, etc. I can tell you exactly why I do not believe, even if he made the post, he did it believing the text message was real, intending to call out the “corruption”. If Cormier seriously thought the text messages were real, he would understand that by posting it publicly, it would literally destroy the UFC, his livelihood and his legacy - in addition to the legacy of everyone who has ever competed in the UFC. There is no realm of the universe in which even if it were in fact a real text that he actually received from Eric Trump, he would post it publicly. Because it would mean the end of the UFC. I just want to know if he actually made the post from his X account, or if the entire post was the result of a hack (hence the subsequent deleting of the post). Last post on this I'd appreciate if people took the time to read it and share it because I think when people listen they deserve credit but TRNSMT have done more than that I complained about the disabled situation TRNSMT Festival and I think the fact that they listened and made changes is the kind of progressive attitude we need towards disabled facilities. I wasn't complaining to come across as some sort of Karen, it just genuinely would've been a health and safety risk. So I think it's only right that I commend them for the work they've done with the platform this year. The platform has many key things that I think make it the best at any festival I've been at. 1.Clear marked out lanes for people to move out to the toilets and back to their seat to avoid congestion and create space 2. A bar for disabled people beside the platform this is amazing. 3. Toilets well spaced out as well as a changing places toilets for people who more severe disabilities beside the platform. 4. Plenty of space in the toilets. 5. It's huge and you feel really close to the stage

Code Interpreter in ChatGPT is incredible! Took me 5 mins to make this game. You can make your own game assets with any AI generator and then ask GPT-4 with Code Interpreter to write code. If you have any problems you can ask it to fix the errors. 1. Write this prompt: "write p5.js code for Asteroids where you control a spaceship with the mouse and shoot asteroids with the left click of the mouse. If your spaceship collides with an asteroid, you lose. If you shoot down all asteroids, you win! I want to use my own textures for the spaceship and for asteroids." 2. Go to Openprocessing website create and save sketch (you'll need to save it before uploading any texture files). Copy paste code from GPT-4 3. Generate texture files and remove backgrounds, for example in Clip Drop 4. Replace names of files with your filenames 5. Run the program 6. If you were sharing this video from the US Capitol building on January 6 and claiming that police “escorted tourists into the building,” then you are either being dishonest, or you didn’t see what was actually happening outside the building. 1) It is almost certain that these police officers are trying to get these people out of the building not into the building. When there’s thousands of people trying to get into one location and they’ve already busted into the building, you have to escort these people through the building to get them out. 2) There were 2500 people illegally in the Capitol. There was a small fraction the number of police. What did you expect these officers to do? Try to arrest them all or try to control the situation and make sure things didn’t get out of control? Picking and choosing 30 second clips out of 44000 hours of video, including video of people busting windows, breaking glass, unlocking doors, and attacking police is disingenuous and ignorant.

Well, we knew (as a child) and then we forget it, due to the learned maladaptive movement patterns that we pick up from adolescence and adulthood. Here are some key tips to change the way you walk if you don’t do these already. Head Side to Side with each Step : create a “column” between you foot striking the ground, and your head. Spinal movement: move side to side like a snake does and you’ll feel the rotation bringing you forward. Barefoot Shoes: get your feet out of the foot prisons that are modern shoes, and use barefoot shoes if not barefoot. These are simple tips to get you moving closer to how we naturally and primally used to.

I've been testing out Windows 11's new Haptic Signals feature on compatible hardware, and I think I love it. I'm someone who yearns for small UX details like this, and I'm so happy to see Microsoft leaning into subtle but quality UX implementations like haptics across the Windows Shell. These new Haptic Signals provide a subtle bump when interacting with certain UI elements and actions, such as snapping app windows or dragging files in File Explorer. The feedback response feels great and intentional, and makes using the OS feel more satisfying. There's still room for improvement, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't impressed with this first implementation. It's only supported on a handful of devices for now, but that should change over time. I've always loved the haptic feedback layered throughout Google Pixel phones, and now Windows is getting its own version of it. More UX niceties like this, please!

No matter how many times I see it illustrated, I’ll never stop marveling at the miracle of early development. Think about it… In little more than a year, infants go from largely helpless to highly independent, from pre-verbal to skilled language users, and from processing the world mostly through sensory experiences to sophisticated thought. Speaking of sophisticated thought, this little guy offers us a fantastic window on his own as he explores a toy medical kit. Examining a set of tweezers, he pinches them together, contemplating their function and potential - and how painful it might be if his own finger were to be caught in their grip. He decides to act the scene out. Note that as he does, he winces in pain, cries out in mock agony - AND THEN places his finger inside. 😂 After a gentle pinch he drops both the tweezers and the sound effects as if to say, “yeah, that’s what it might have been like.” It’s such an interesting window on his thinking, progressing from 1) this is what tweezers do, to 2) I bet it wouldn’t be fun to be pinched, to 3) here’s how I’d probably react if that ever happened to me. A great reminder that play is how children process the world. This little one was shared to IG by kadinlarkulubu.

Stay on the attack, stay in position, and keep applying pressure. The one who needs to change and create opportunity is the opponent who is losing. So why would you go ahead and assist them in this by back peddling and lead protecting, opening up two windows that weren’t there before? 1 – Stall points 2 – Allowing your opponent to solely focus on their offense as they no longer have to respect your attacks. You hear wrestlers in post-match interviews “We do this all the time in the room! Down 2 with 30 seconds left and working to find a takedown.” Not so much the opposite… “up 2 with 30 seconds left and just have to find ways to back up to protect the lead!” So why resort to something you don’t practice in the most crucial moments of a match—or your season? No matter how many times I see it illustrated, I’ll never stop marveling at the miracle of early development. Think about it… In little more than a year, infants go from largely helpless to highly independent, from pre-verbal to skilled language users, and from processing the world mostly through sensory experiences to sophisticated thought. Speaking of sophisticated thought, this little guy offers us a fantastic window on his own as he explores a toy medical kit. Examining a set of tweezers, he pinches them together, contemplating their function and potential - and how painful it might be if his own finger were to be caught in their grip. He decides to act the scene out. Note that as he does, he winces in pain, cries out in mock agony - AND THEN places his finger inside. 😂 After a gentle pinch he drops both the tweezers and the sound effects as if to say, “yeah, that’s what it might have been like.” It’s such an interesting window on his thinking, progressing from 1) this is what tweezers do, to 2) I bet it wouldn’t be fun to be pinched, to 3) here’s how I’d probably react if that ever happened to me. A great reminder that play is how children process the world. This little one was shared to IG by kadinlarkulubu.

Is Using a Nebulizer with Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide preventive and healing for upper respiratory symptoms? I built a clone of the Yeezy store with Next.js. This was a fun challenge — the site has some smooth animations and feels very fast. But it was bothering me that I couldn't use the browser back button. Can we do better? So I rebuilt the site with v0 and Motion. Here's how it works: 1. When you click on a product, Motion is able to animate the original position of the product in the grid, to the zoomed in product detail page. 2. During this transition, we also shallow update the URL with the `/p/slug` route for the page. 3. If you press the back button in the navbar, or use the browser back button, or press escape — all options will take you back to the main product listing page. 4. If you reload the page while looking at a product, or someone sends you a link to a specific product, it still works! This is the best parts of a SPA and MPA mixed together. In the future, I can make this even better with View Transitions (I wasn't able to get the product animation just right, but if you can I'd love to see it!). I also took some creative liberties from the original design. The whole 1/2/3 size thing, where you needed to click the "?" to see SM/MD/LG was strange, so I just went directly to those sizes. Similarly, I prefered the more traditional style sheet/modal with the background color change, versus the full screen takeover. If you wanted to actually hook this up to Shopify now, you can swap the cart implementation with Next.js Commerce, which has all the APIs you need + optimistic writes 🔥 Should I make a video walking through the code?

My project has 39,205 lines of code, and Cursor can't answer questions about it. Cursor's context seems to be capped at around 10,000 tokens. Unfortunately, this is not enough for any decent-sized project. If you have a large codebase, check out Augment Code. This thing is faaaast! I'm currently using their Visual Studio Code plugin, but you can also use them on JetBrains, Neovim, and even Vim. (I'm a Neovim fan, but Copilot's implementation for Neovim is nowhere as good as Augment Code.) Augment Code was gracious enough to sponsor this post. After you install their extension and run it for the first time, it will index your entire codebase. This is why it can answer questions as fast as it does, regardless of the size of your codebase. Augment Code supports chat and completions like every other AI coding assistant, but its killer feature is "Next Edit." When you make a change, two things happen: 1. The model analyzes the change to determine the ripple effects across your *entire* codebase. 2. The model suggests everything you need to update to ensure everything works correctly.
