Wow! Send A File By Just The Camera! A... vibe coder used AI to build a file transfer system that sends data between two phones using only a screen and a camera. One phone displays a new type of animated QR codes while the other scans them to rebuild the file, with no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cables needed. It is fully optical and local. The system uses fountain codes that create each QR frame as a random mix of file data. This keeps transfers working even if some frames are missed, reaching speeds of about 129 KB/s for a 2 MB image. Regarding the Eric Trump / Daniel Cormier “text scandal”,... I am open to being convinced otherwise, but I do not believe for one second that Eric Trump would text something so stupid to Daniel Cormier. It’s laughably stupid on its face to think that Eric Trump would ask a UFC commentator if any of the fights are “rigged”. That he would ask it in writing. And that he would not, for example, just pick up the phone and call Dana White or Joe Rogan himself. That said, I just want to understand what happened. Daniel Cormier said he was hacked. Is that to say he was hacked at the text level, or the X post level? Did he in fact make the post, and delete it? If he made the post, did he do it as a joke to illustrate how absurd the text hack was, but realized how the post could be misinterpreted as real? Or did someone make the post from his X account he subsequently deleted it. I know there are some who are going to say he made the post in earnest, thinking the text messages were real, intending to call out the “corruption”, and he has since been threatened, deleted the post, and claimed “hack”, etc. I can tell you exactly why I do not believe, even if he made the post, he did it believing the text message was real, intending to call out the “corruption”. If Cormier seriously thought the text messages were real, he would understand that by posting it publicly, it would literally destroy the UFC, his livelihood and his legacy - in addition to the legacy of everyone who has ever competed in the UFC. There is no realm of the universe in which even if it were in fact a real text that he actually received from Eric Trump, he would post it publicly. Because it would mean the end of the UFC. Last post on this I'd appreciate if people took... the time to read it and share it because I think when people listen they deserve credit but TRNSMT have done more than that I complained about the disabled situation TRNSMT Festival and I think the fact that they listened and made changes is the kind of progressive attitude we need towards disabled facilities. I wasn't complaining to come across as some sort of Karen, it just genuinely would've been a health and safety risk. So I think it's only right that I commend them for the work they've done with the platform this year. The platform has many key things that I think make it the best at any festival I've been at. 1.Clear marked out lanes for people to move out to the toilets and back to their seat to avoid congestion and create space 2. A bar for disabled people beside the platform this is amazing. 3. Toilets well spaced out as well as a changing places toilets for people who more severe disabilities beside the platform. 4. Code Interpreter in ChatGPT is incredible! Took me 5... mins to make this game. You can make your own game assets with any AI generator and then ask GPT-4 with Code Interpreter to write code. If you have any problems you can ask it to fix the errors. 1. Write this prompt: "write p5.js code for Asteroids where you control a spaceship with the mouse and shoot asteroids with the left click of the mouse. If your spaceship collides with an asteroid, you lose. If you shoot down all asteroids, you win! I want to use my own textures for the spaceship and for asteroids." 2. Go to Openprocessing website create and save sketch (you'll need to save it before uploading any texture files). Copy paste code from GPT-4 3. Generate texture files and remove backgrounds, for example in Clip Drop 4. Replace names of files with your filenames 5. Run the program 6. MiniMax H3 Instead of sharing the prompts for each... of these videos, I thought it would be more useful to share how I created that prompts. All of the videos were generated with text-to-video. First, find an image with the kind of scene, composition and mood you want to recreate. I used a few YouTube playlist thumbnails as references but Pinterest is also a great place to find inspiration. You can even use your own old or nostalgic photographs. Then upload the image to ChatGPT and ask it to describe the scene. The description it gives you can essentially become your text-to-video prompt. From there, you can generate completely new scenes with a similar composition, atmosphere and cinematic language. You can of course use the reference image directly with image-to-video or as a first frame. But if the original image isn't yours, I prefer using it only as visual inspiration and recreating the scene through text-to-video. This is the prompt I use with ChatGPT: "Describe the scene in this image in English, focusing primarily on what is happening, the characters, their actions and body language, the setting and the overall atmosphere. Also briefly describe the composition, framing, camera angle, approximate lens choice, lighting, color palette and cinematic aesthetic. Some guys are able to leverage and rotate from that position extremely well, which then I would say that it’s not an issue.⠀⁠ -⠀⁠ On the other hand, there are some guys who will get out of this position by driving extension out of their back leg, killing their ability to rotate their pelvis and get it in an open position into landing.⠀⁠ -⠀⁠ This is when I would suggest trying to make a change. I think a lot of people jump into certain ideologies that you shouldn’t do certain things because it’s “inefficient” or it looks “wrong”. ⠀⁠ -⠀⁠ Take a look at these pitchers shown in the video. All 3 of these high level arms have some degree of knee flexion over their toe. Now, granted, they all have insane levers to help them, but the way they are moving is what makes them efficient in how they throw. ⠀⁠ -⠀⁠ I think if you told Dustin May that he had to hold a vertical shin down the mound, it would be a disaster and mess a lot of things up upstream that would impact him in a negative way.⠀⁠ -⠀⁠ The big takeaway here is that there are no absolutes. There was a small fraction the number of police. What did you expect these officers to do? Try to arrest them all or try to control the situation and make sure things didn’t get out of control? I've been testing out Windows 11's new Haptic Signals... feature on compatible hardware, and I think I love it. I'm someone who yearns for small UX details like this, and I'm so happy to see Microsoft leaning into subtle but quality UX implementations like haptics across the Windows Shell. These new Haptic Signals provide a subtle bump when interacting with certain UI elements and actions, such as snapping app windows or dragging files in File Explorer. The feedback response feels great and intentional, and makes using the OS feel more satisfying. There's still room for improvement, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't impressed with this first implementation. It's only supported on a handful of devices for now, but that should change over time. I've always loved the haptic feedback layered throughout Google Pixel phones, and now Windows is getting its own version of it. More UX niceties like this, please!show more

Speaking of sophisticated thought, this little guy offers us a fantastic window on his own as he explores a toy medical kit. Examining a set of tweezers, he pinches them together, contemplating their function and potential - and how painful it might be if his own finger were to be caught in their grip. He decides to act the scene out. Note that as he does, he winces in pain, cries out in mock agony - AND THEN places his finger inside. 😂 After a gentle pinch he drops both the tweezers and the sound effects as if to say, “yeah, that’s what it might have been like.” It’s such an interesting window on his thinking, progressing from 1) this is what tweezers do, to 2) I bet it wouldn’t be fun to be pinched, to 3) here’s how I’d probably react if that ever happened to me. May be the most difficult hurdle for a wrestler... to clear—trusting that the same offense that built the lead is what protects it. The instinct is to protect the lead, but the approach that creates better odds, less regret, and is simply more logical is to keep wrestling the same way that created the lead. Stay on the attack, stay in position, and keep applying pressure. The one who needs to change and create opportunity is the opponent who is losing. So why would you go ahead and assist them in this by back peddling and lead protecting, opening up two windows that weren’t there before? 1 – Stall points 2 – Allowing your opponent to solely focus on their offense as they no longer have to respect your attacks. You hear wrestlers in post-match interviews “We do this all the time in the room!
