Here's a photo I took from the weekly farm box we get in our kitchen, I set it as the product and then with Photo AI made it into a talking video where my trained AI model presents it It's not perfect, as the objects inside the farm box still move around a bit, but pretty close. If the product is more uniform (like lip gloss, a product box or a book) it does a pretty good job at keeping it exactly the same This "consistency" as they call it is quite important for actual real world use. About Siri AI and EU: 1. Your data (gallery,... messages, email, call logs, notes, files, and much more) is indexed for personal context, and that info is stored on your iPhone. 2. When you use Siri AI, the request is either handled on-device or in cloud using PCC. It’s never stored or logged on Apple’s servers. Apple does not have access to it. Now, according to Apple, here’s what EU wants: “According to EU regulators, the DMA requires Apple to give any AI system nearly unlimited access to a user’s device, as well as the ability to act on that access autonomously without a user’s ongoing visibility and control. That includes the ability to read and send messages, make purchases, access files, and execute actions across any app.” What EU is asking is scary dangerous. And apparently they have rejected all the solutions proposed by Apple. And, as hinted by Joz, “We will NOT compromise on privacy and security”, Apple is likely not going to give up, so EU users are likely not going to get Siri AI anytime soon.show more

Naval is right. That’s why we’ve avoided investing in... consumer hardware. But recently I’ve met too many smart, young founders building it anyway that it’s too compelling to ignore. We’ve built an AI god and shoved it in a text box. Like now what? That can’t be the end of the story. Like mobile before Uber, AI needs a new form factor to unlock entirely new behaviors. AI is infinitely better with more context and context means it has to live with us. Apple won’t do it. They’ve been asleep on AI and are handcuffed by privacy constraints. The winners will be the new generation of founders: unencumbered, fearless, fluent in consumer behavior. My wife bought a brand new iPhone at the... Apple store located at Jakande, Lekki Phase 1,Lagos last September. We decided to trade it in for a new one today at the Apple Store located at Westfield Stratford City Arcade (London) a few minutes ago Only God did not let them call the police on us The attendant scanned the IPhone and declared that it had been reported as stolen. Stolen from where? It was not a used iPhone It was new, purchased from an approved Apple Store and we have all the receipts intact The attendant saw our indignation and went ahead to consult with her superiors They scanned again and they declared that it was reported “missing”. They adjusted their language from stolen to missing and told us it has zero swap value. I was not shocked at all even though I should be. Nigerians like cutting corners for unhealthy gains and they always believe this is good business for them as long as they were able to make a buck. Somehow we were able to walk out of that Apple Store without any drama but I remember telling my wife that we would have had a lot of explaining to do if they had a policy that required that they must report such incidents to the police. Nigerian business people must try to do better than this There is something called integrity, it has a higher value than the dirty gains they think they are getting by playing dirty. This doesn't come just from hanging out with people. Eric Berger: Elon is the chief engineer in name and reality. Josh Boehm: Elon is both the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer of SpaceX, so of course he does more than just some very technical work. He is integrally involved in the actual design and engineering of the rocket, and at least touches every other aspect of the business. Elon is an engineer at heart, and that’s where and how he works best. Garrett Reisman: He’s obviously skilled at all different functions, but certainly what really drives him and where his passion really is, is his role as Chief Engineer. That’s the part of the job that really plays to his strengths. Tom Mueller: Elon and the Propulsion department are leading development of the SpaceX engines, particularly Raptor. Kevin Watson: Elon is brilliant. He’s involved in just about everything. He understands everything. If he asks you a question, you learn very quickly not to go give him a gut reaction. He wants answers that get down to the fundamental laws of physics. One thing he understands really well is the physics of the rockets. He understands that like nobody else. The stuff I have seen him do in his head is crazy. He can get in discussions about flying a satellite and whether we can make the right orbit and deliver Dragon at the same time and solve all these equations in real time.
