By far the most unsafe driving by FSD HW#3... in my 8 year experience with it. Navigation gets confused and takes this left instead of the suicide lane next intersection. I was hoping it would slow down to a stop but it did not. The car to the right was thankfully paying attention and acted defensively to prevent an accident! I was in my HW3 car with 14 Lite... for 10 seconds and it hit the garbage can. The garbage can was behind the corner of the car maybe 10 feet away. When my AI4 car is in this position it will go around it. HW3 isn't quite as smart.show more

FSD 14.1.3 swerved AT a pedestrian at 4 seconds... in. At least that's what I thought at first. Then I looked back at the footage and saw that the car to my left veered into my lane and FSD moved me over so I didn't get hit. We drive with two eyes that can only see in one direction. This driver is trying to ma a left turn... and the car on the opposite side stops and makes a path for them to turn. As the car starts to turn, an electric bike in the bike lane comes speeding down and well, as you can see, smashes into the car and flips over the front. Luckily he gets up and is walking. He could have been seriously injured. To me, this is quite literally why they say you’re not supposed to just stop in the middle of a street to let someone turn. Some are saying it’s the red car’s fault for stopping and letting the driver turn. Others are saying in their state, an electric bike is like a motorcycle and has to obey the traffic laws. Who is at fault? Do you think the electric bike should have been in the bike lane traveling that fast? The red car for letting the car turn left when it can’t see, or is it the drivers responsibility to make sure all is clear before proceeding?show more

Tesla FSD doesn’t “see” like humans do when extreme... glare blinds the view. It reconstructs the scene from raw photon data like the car is casually doing computational physics while driving. The human eye sees blinding glare. FSD still sees lane lines, cars, trees, obstacles, road edges… the whole scene hiding underneath the light explosion. That’s the part people miss.
