McConnell Releases New Photo and Update from Rehab Sen.... Mitch McConnell’s office released a new photo of the Kentucky senator with his wife, Elaine Chao, along with a personal statement and an update from the Senate’s attending physician. McConnell said: “I’m still working hard to get back to my full schedule of work in the Senate and in Kentucky, keeping up with intense physical therapy per my doctors’ orders. As always, I appreciate all of your continued well wishes, and I’m looking forward to getting back to the Senate and to Kentucky soon.” (Video: AI) The attending physician confirmed he continues to recover from a fall at home in June and is undergoing multiple physical therapy sessions daily.
