5.6 Sol on Codex one-shotted a second-screen experience for Project Diablo 2. It did a fork of GameNative and added a new native Kotlin extension. Compiled it, installed it, ran and tested it. Never ceases to amaze me.

Do you use our Build iOS Apps plugin for Codex? I use it often to build new apps and help me on various iOS projects. It also comes with a skill to open server-sim right into the app in the app browser! Probably the feature I use the most!

Extremely important, and I believe in it strongly. I still do the things I love. Building and improving apps while taking great care of the experience. Codex just makes it much faster.

If you update to the latest ChatGPT iOS app version, we have a very cool new feature from Philipp Spiess. Codex visualisation now also works on iOS; you can ask for all kinds of graphs and custom content to be built on the fly!

Here is a walkable demo of the scene in Blender. Without lighting, but this is still amazing what 5.6 Sol did in two passes. It took less than 45 minutes on Ultra.

I don’t know if you noticed, but the last few versions of Codex Remote went from jumpy scrolling to smooth streaming. I really like how it turned out. And also, the best way to test and debug that? Ask Codex for an endless wall of text.

Codex can algo get better at SwiftUI animations with the right skills, like the one available in the Build iOS Apps plugin. For example, ask for a scroll reveal animation!

I was about to work (Codex was about to work) on thread/resume optimisation, but I got sidetracked by adding a zoom transition on the plan card. It sounded much more important.

So now I can self-improve the iOS app from my computer to my iPhone and deploy it. I can ask for changes and test them live. Without touching my computer. Can you believe that?

One of the best things about this Codex app update is how good it is to work with other things than code! The app can now preview all kinds of documents natively, including spreadsheets!

They refined this even more. Honestly this is one of the most insane piece of software ever.

Codex 3DS can now resume threads and displays the transcript correctly + scroll it.

I have no clue what is it doing Monologue Like does it allow to always record in the background??

Never forget that this is the best UX you can get because Apple can’t bother to make text selection work on SwiftUI Text.

I've played a bit more with Codex + making games. This is a little Vampire Survivor inspired games, all with Codex + ImageGen and a small spec from me! CodexSurvivor!

My Codex /goal that has been running for like 40 hours that is now 100K+ lines of code now is a pure Swift Doom source port. It'll be the first, source accurate, software renderer for Doom that is fully in Swift. No OpenGL, Metal, SceneKit, no nothing. Just Swift.

I wanted to highlight how powerful ChatGPT Voice with Codex is. This is how I operate my computer now. I just ask for things, and things happen. There is no limit to your use cases! The future is already here!

So this game is real now, fully built with GPT-5.5. I told Codex to use the imagegen skill to generate a reference UI and sprites, and used the Build macOS Apps plugin to build the app for a native retro fantasy labyrinth game! Adjusted the UI in a few prompts and here we are!

So I asked for 5.6 for good "combat feedback". Bro this is way too intense omg. I feel back for the little critters too now. But the story is that Sol is really good at translating an intent into actual gameplay!

Let's break it down. This time, I started with an empty Xcode project. Claude 4 one-shotted a fully working iOS app that can list and create posts (with a good UX) and read/write to a database. It compiled the app and took a screenshot to confirm that it's working. One prompt.

I've decided to let 5.6 run a few more turns with my game while steering into the art style and gameplay I wanted, and I'm very impressed. It got my shader right, the parallax background, the skybox. Everything is just fitting so well together!

ChatGPT Voice is also in Remote on iOS! Massive congrats to SIGKITTEN. I've been using it so much from my phone, and being able to talk to my computer from anywhere, delegating and executing tasks while having a normal conversation, the Codex phone is here!

ChatGPT Voice is now available on Desktop in Work and Codex! And your Codex Micro is already fully compatible with it. It's never been easier to talk to your computer, launch and manage Codex tasks, and basically do anything with Codex. A truly feel AGI moment to me.

Yep GitHub Copilot for Xcode is pretty wild!

Telemetry is a very important concept when working with agents; it allows them to work autonomously for longer. Watch Codex build an iOS onboarding and checkout flow, drive it using XcodeBuildMCP and debug analytics events using telemetry the agent added itself.

I think you need to understand how cool and good the Codex sub-agent feature is. For example, here is the perfect task for parallel agents: cleaning and refactoring components based on a skill. So I ask Codex to split the work to speed things up.

I don't think people understand how good iPadOS 26 is or how well we have it with the SwiftUI API. TabView is now the API you want to use for your root container. It adapts almost perfectly to any window size. And it's easier than ever to make adaptable apps.

We're definitely entering a new age of native iOS engineering. This is so much more flexible than stupid UI and rigid UI testing scripts. Next I'll try to build a new feature and tell the agent to build and run until it's working good.

Codex with GPT-5.4 in fast mode built that in 6 minutes. Procedural world generation + rendering in an offscreen buffer, then rendering the scene in matrix-style glyph + walking around. Running in the browser.

Seems like my Codex /goal for porting the Doom engine to pure Swift (100% software rendering) is almost done! I can now save/load, music, play all the episodes and levels of Doom I + II

When it works, the concentric corner radius SwiftUI API is pretty amazing 😂

And now I have another trick on how to expand the SwiftUI navigation bar on both iOS 18 (and below) and iOS 26
