Hitters U PVC pipe drill. Each player requires a... different feel & attack angle to find an elite bat path that works for them. Some need to feel down… some need to feel slightly up 💪🚀 Hitters Universityshow more

Each hitter naturally has a bat path that is... unique to them. Some are flatter, while others are more vertical. A flatter path will usually handle pitches that are higher in the zone or farther away better, while a more vertical path will typically handle pitches that are lower in the zone or farther inside better. Hitters can train beyond their natural path tendencies by learning how to adjust their body and barrel to handle pitches in different locations. This has to be trained. You can’t just tell hitters to cover the entire zone and expect it to show up in games. Hitters need reps learning how to move their body differently to handle different locations. Higher / Away = Flatter Path Lower / In = More Vertical Pathshow more

Everybody talks about bat path but some kids don’t... truly know or understand what it means. So this visual helps them a ton & teaches them how to create margin of error and keep going through the middle. One of my favorite drills. Hitters Universityshow more

Using VBA to adjust to pitch location Some hitters... can adjust their VBA enough to cover most locations — path is flatter up & away and more vertical down & in Those who can't manipulate their VBA this much must find other ways to adjust ⬇️both vs FB up & away vs SL down & inshow more

How throwing a frisbee helps groom a proper bat... path. To throw the frisbee down the cage to the back of the net you have to have good DIRECTION & path towards the middle. If you fly open it will hit either side of the net. We want large margin of error through the middle of the field. We will be having 2 clinics in December at Hitters U! Do me a favor: Grab a bat. Relax your... hands and arms. Take an easy swing as if you’re hitting a ball. Notice how gravity naturally helps slot and turn the barrel? Maybe hitters don’t need to force the bat into position. Maybe they need to relax and let it flow.show more
