During the filming of Johnny English Strikes Again (2018),... Jake Lacy was reportedly meant to shoot at Rowan Atkinson’s armor before leaving the scene. However, Lacy supposedly decided to add an unexpected twist by tossing his gun as well, transforming a straightforward action sequence into a spontaneous comedic moment. Instead of breaking character or appearing confused, Atkinson reportedly reacted instantly, delivering an improvised line that made the situation even more entertaining. His quick thinking and natural comedic timing turned the surprise into a moment that felt perfectly suited to Johnny English’s famously unpredictable personality. According to the story, Lacy’s intention was simply to catch Atkinson off guard with a harmless prank. But rather than disrupting the scene, the unexpected gesture supposedly inspired an amusing exchange between the two actors, blending seamlessly with the film’s signature humor. It’s a reminder that some of cinema’s funniest moments can come from spontaneous reactions rather than carefully rehearsed scripts. Sometimes, an unexpected improvisation is all it takes to make a scene even more memorable.show more
