Arrived on another cruise ship last night to deliver... my talk this week. I know they look fun but i honestly dread these work gigs. I hate being away from home and my routine. What’s made this worse was I didn’t get ANY sleep last night as my room appears to be next to the thrusters. (Sound on for my videos)I had noise cancelling headfones in but even they couldn’t drown out the noise. Zero sleep, one complaint later…apparently I can’t change rooms…went for lunch….same shaking noise…oh well at least it’s sunny…or B… I’m not looking for a ‘poor me’ sympathy response…but genuinely I feel like I’m over sensitive to noise these days, especially when trying to sleep. Not sure if others who have come through PTSD feel the same??? But it really unhinges me and very quickly. I can’t seem to find a ‘safe’ space on this ship..a moment of calm for my brain. 😔😩show more

The ongoing record-breaking heat wave in the West will... continue while expanding across the Central U.S. through the weekend. Based on preliminary data, there have been around 50 March high temperature records broken since March 17 and more than 150 daily high temperature records broken. Record setting temperatures are expected to continue over the next several days. Most areas will see temperature departures of 25 to 35 degrees higher than normal for this time of year. However, some locations in the central Plains on Saturday could see departures exceed 40 degrees from normal! Overnight low temperatures will also be well above average, providing little relief from the heat. The early time of year, prolonged nature of this heat wave, and limited seasonal acclimation will increase the risk of heat impacts especially among sensitive populations or those without effective cooling. Adjust plans to limit strenuous outdoor activities to early morning hours, drink plenty of fluids, and seek air conditioned spaces. For more heat safety tips visit:show more

My daily swimmaxing routine: - every morning before work,... 7am, 30 min - another one in the evening after work, 7-8pm - best stress relief I’ve found (on par with lifting) - bad day just dissolves once I’m in the water - sleep is deeper, next day I’ve more energy - also for me salty water helps more vs fresh water so I stick to the sea/ocean when I can, but in winter a pool will do too Took a while to build the habit (sometimes I feel lazy) but now I can’t skip it. The video is from this morning.show more

This Canadian singer released ‘Go for Soda’ in 1984.... It reached #22 on the Canada Top Singles Chart and #86 on the Billboard Hot 100. People assumed this was a drunk-driving song but it’s said to be about two people arguing in a relationship who can’t agree on anything, so instead of fighting, they just chill out with something like a soda. 👉🏻 Name the artist.show more
